I can’t believe how utterly amazing this car is

I know posting here is super biased but holy crap does this car make me happy!

I’ve owned a lot of EV’s over the past few years… Almost every flavor of Tesla, Leaf, Ioniq and Ioniq 5, EV9, iX, Prologue, and an i4.

Let me tell you though, nothing compares to my i5 eDrive 40. I have nothing fancy with it… no DAPP, no rear steering or active suspension, and no Bowers audio system.

But holy crap does this thing put a smile on my face. I have never felt such a smooth and well tuned car. The throttle mapping, the steering weight and feel, the road noise insulation, the aesthetics and looks… I adore every aspect of the i5.

I just had to shout from the rooftops. I feel very honored and blessed to own such an incredible car.

Does anyone else have plans to keep theirs for a while? I’m thinking about doing a 10 year ownership run just to see how it all goes.

Richard Harrow Season 4 Discussion

I can't be the only one who thought the way he was written in that last episode was kind of... silly? And almost disrespectful to who his character was? He had one last job to get the family he always dreamed of, and all of a sudden he gets the shakes and accidentally shoots the wrong person?

I don't know it felt a little cheap to me.

Series Question: Has anyone ever experienced unintentional acceleration with their iX?

Hi all,

I’m in quite a debate with my own father who says a few months ago the car accelerated out of his control as he was parking the car. This caused about 2k dollars of damage and my dad was so emotionally distraught over this that he opened a repurchase case with BMW. As I sort of expected they denied this buyback case and said that all systems were functioning as expected.

Now, I want to believe him but I have not been able to recreate it when I performed multiple D to R to D to R moments over and over again.

I see a few complaints on NHSTA’s website about fellow 2024 model year owners experiencing similar events but of course those are not confirmed reports.

Has anyone here on Reddit experienced anything similar?

REALLY IMPORTANT EDIT:

I can actually reproduce the issue. Shout out to everyone who mentioned hitting the cruise control button on accident. It actually seems to be kind of bugged and in a very contextual situation where it can turn on when it should not. Simply put, if you have the steering wheel turned at a certain angle or straight it will turn on. Even stranger is that you can turn it on from 0mph and it will take off and lurch forward pretty quickly. I’m actually surprised it can do this, this seems like a genuine over sight.

I’m really disappointed in the road noise 😢

I just leased a 26 Integra A Spec with Tech and it’s absolutely abysmal how bad the road noise is. This car is drivable for about an hour before it’s just too much to handle.

I’m seriously thinking about asking to return this car tomorrow.

It makes me so sad that this car doesn’t get the internal and external love it deserves

Maybe I’m just extremely lucky and got a 2026 without issues, but I absolutely love this car.

I’m an EV head. I’ve driven EV’s since 2016 and have owned and driven almost every Tesla (except the CT), VW iD.4, Nissan Leaf, BMW i4 and iX, Ford F-150 Lightning, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV9, and now my Prologue.

I can’t believe how perfect this car is for my needs. I personally prefer a ‘gentle’ car. Something that glides and wafts down the road without feeling too stiff or difficult to drive. I enjoy non bolstered seats. I enjoy longer pedal mappings and light steering. I enjoy relatively quiet cabins. I especially enjoy physical controls. I also love when cars feel internally wide and comfortable.

The Prologue has ALL of this and it looks great to me as well. Call me crazy but I consider this one of the rare American market EV wagons. It’s got great room for my two Huskies, is a beast at large Costco trips, and I love how comfortable it feels to me. Honestly most EV’s I’ve owned have been quite substandard in my mind. Either too small, too sporty and harsh, too filled with issues and problems, and just generally not enjoyable to own and drive. Not my Prologue.

It truly makes me sad reading about Honda sales departments turning customers away from the car. It also makes me even sadder to read about some of my fellow Prologue owners and their issues. And trust me I sympathize with all of you. My Hyundai, Kia, BMW iX, and Ford were absolute lemons and dealing with the service centers and corporate sides were absolute time sucks and nightmares.

I don’t know what else to say… I’m just sad that I can tell this will be one of those cars that will fall off the table and not get the support it deserves from Honda and the lack of customer sales figures to make it worth it.

The Attack Heli… what even is its purpose?

I truly don’t mean to sound sarcastic or like I’m complaining here, but after around 250 hours on Battlefield I’m just lost at why I would even spend my time using it?

From what I’ve experienced the Attack Heli damage is incredibly weak against tanks and AA vehicles. The ammunition count seems excessively low as well. The maneuverability is pretty terrible compared to every other aircraft.

So what is its point? Am i just not getting the combo of loadouts correct?

Am I pissing off my local Starbucks team with this request?

I’m a simple dude, I order the same thing at the same location almost every morning:

Grande Iced Americano with a small (and I try to highlight small) splash of half and half.

90 percent of the time my drink tastes like half the cup was filled with half and half. I even tested my theory and asked for just half and half and it was much less.

What is going on? Is saying the word small throwing someone off? Do I sound like an asshole or something?

I made a post a few weeks ago about how great Season 2 was, and sort of put down Season 3 as being too slow and not really engaging enough. I take that all back now!

I just completed a full rewatch of it for the 2nd time though and I'm actually blown away at how much I missed on the first watch. The intricate details within the friendships and relationships, the themes of personal consumption littered throughout the show and what consumes us vs. what we consume, and just the general sense of decay within everyone and then rebirth. It's kind of a special season where it departs from the more physical and in your face themes and topics and enters in to a more metaphysical and spiritual take on things. I know people have mentioned this before so it's not a new discovery of course but I do take back my initial impression with Season 3. It's actually really well written with some really beautiful characters from a story telling perspective.
