Is there any safe hang out or events that are good for queer people around here? I would go alone and large crowds or clubs kind of intimidate me. I am bi, and it’s hard to find and connect with women, even with the apps. I would love to make friends or even find my person.
My family member lives in a country area and had a stray outdoor cat that visited her frequently enough that she started feeding it. Cat got pregnant and had kittens. Unfortunately late in the night, mother cat was killed by a stray dog. She rescued the 4 week old kittens and has been providing for them. Unfortunately, none of the near by shelters or animal rescues are able to take the kittens due to it being kitten season. We can’t stand to think of releasing the kittens outside to the wild where they could die like their mother, but my family member already has a human baby, 2 puppies and an older dog to feed and take care of. She’s maxed out of resources and can’t afford to vaccinate and spay the cats herself either. At this point, the cats might have to go back to the outside once they are 8 weeks, but I don’t know if they’ll survive having been indoor cats for several weeks. Any advice or resources? All 7 rescues including the humane society refused the kittens. We have listed on all our social media accounts.
- Please withhold any hurtful comments. I know you probably shouldn’t feed outdoor cats and should try to get them spayed to prevent this kind of thing.
Is there a clear winner if I can get either for about the same price? Defender maybe a little more because cross climate had a coupon. I had the cross climate 2s reserved at $850 for tires and install + regular Michelin warranty, but now am wondering if the others would be better. I drive a 2016 Ford C Max in Central Florida which is a hybrid vehicle. I do like the idea of increased tread mileage as I drive a lot, but I like the safety factor in the others. I do sometimes drive in the rain. Right now there’s general G max tires on the car.
Delete if not allowed: I just need to vent about this charismatic ministry I grew up following.
Backstory (grandpa’s story):
My elderly grandparents and my whole family went to a large KCM gathering back during Covid. They did limited to no social distancing in the auditoriums. My entire family came back terribly sick. My grandpa was in the ICU for a month and barely pulled through with only part of his lungs. He has never fully recovered and has to wear oxygen when he walks now. Not blaming the ministry or anything, but I feel like if they had listened to some reasonable guidelines maybe this wouldn’t have happened to grandpa. It makes me wonder if anyone else who attended the same conference got sick like grandpa and didn’t make it. Every time he gets sick now, we all worry he will need to be hospitalized.
Current story (grandma):
I bring this up now because my grandma has been refusing blood pressure and cholesterol medication for a long time because KCM insists you can be okay with faith in the Bible alone. Her doctor finally convinced her to let him do a heart scan and her arteries were extremely blocked and calcified. 5x the extremely high risk value. She could have had a heart attack or a stroke and may already have some heart failure. She thankfully finally agreed to take medication. She feels like a failure and is confused why “the Word didn’t work” to protect her from heart disease. I tried to tell her these ministers she follows probably also have to take blood pressure and cholesterol meds - they just don’t advertise it because it would go against what they sell, which is delusional levels of faith with “reaping and sowing.”
What these ministries advertise, truly does harm. I pray God shows these leaders the right way and protects my grandparents from any harm already caused.
I was offered a job contingent on passing the NCLEX. It’s my dream job with a medium/large hospital system. I am hoping they will be flexible as for a start date; as I don’t even have my ticket to test yet. I am hoping I don’t lose the opportunity.
Does anyone know if doing the RN to BSN program full time class load while working full time is doable? Or am I going to need to plan to work on these classes a little slower than I intended?

Since I got out of a relationship with a man a year ago, I’ve been trying to date again. I always felt more emotionally attracted to men but it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack trying to find one I find attractive. Whereas for women, the vast majority I find physically aesthetically appealing and attractive but I have never dated a woman and don’t know how to find and connect with women. I have my own internalized shame as well. I keep putting myself out there with men and feeling awkward as hell when I don’t find them attractive, and they like me. I don’t know what to say, especially when they are a nice average looking man- I just am not attracted to the average man like I am the average woman? My family/friends tell me I’m being too picky with my men but ugh I find hardly any of them attractive. But I like the idea of being with a man? Anyways. I guess the journal factory burned down. I don’t know what to do or feel. Might just be alone for a long time until I can figure out how to date as someone emotionally or mentally attracted to men but physically attracted to women.
Would you interview for Medical ICU at nights at a smaller (but still busy) hospital?
Or the CVPCU or medical PCU days at either smaller hospital or bigger hospital?
I am stuck to my current hospital system, and they only let you interview for one at a time. I have never done nights. End goal is ICU.
This $50 comforter is all polyester and far too warm in the summertime. It’s also dark in this room all the time and would like something with a lighter feel. Previously went to a local eyebrow studio that gave me uneven brows twice now, and at $20 for just 5 min threading, I feel like I can find better. Does anyone have an eyebrow person you recommend? Waterford or Alafaya area.
