Experimental album opener PROG ROCK piece I’m working on. This is for a concept album and has lyrics but I haven’t recorded vocals yet.

This song is gonna be like 7 minutes long lol so this is just the 4 min opener. I was inspired a lot by David Bowie and Brian Eno as well ( playing around with sounds in garage band was quite fun ) as Electric Light Orchestra and I wanted to make this piece otherworldly but still catchy. Any feedback? I’m not the keenest of the bass line tbh myself

Guys I made a mistake 😭

I talked about ELO in a fantano subreddit…

actually tbf most of the comments are positive but there was one user who has one of the worst takes I’ve ever heard and the first electric light orchestra HATEE I’ve ever met.

he said things along the lines of ELO is boomer music and isn’t good outside 2 singles and also Led zeppelin is boomer music and apparently Jeff Lynne ruins everything he touches

What do Kendrick fans think of 70s rock?

I ask because as a 60s-90s rock fan I’ve always thought Kendrick Lamar’s music and especially albums were just 70s rock albums but in a modern rap format.

some of you may be confused about the link but artists like Pink Floyd or steely Dan did similar concept albums about aspects of life

and I would say the instrumentation in Kendrick’s music is very much unlike other rap artists, using jazz session players and even an electric guitar solo in TPAB

idk, a lot of rap fans I’ve met hate rock music ( not very educated about it but they hate on it anyway )

I was just wondering how the kdot fandom feels about this type of music
