Odysseus shushing the giant toddler and going 'NoNoNoNo' is honestly one of the most genuine, this guy is definitely a dad moments and is stellar acting. What a performance. From the bottom of my heart, this movie would not have been the same without him.

It irks me so much that there is so much 'was he the first choice' scrutiny because he ABSOLUTELY was. Nolan has clearly said no one has ever said no to him, other than David bowie who was eventually convinced.

Damon is a phenomenal actor, a phenomenal star and by every account, an absolute 'leader amongst equals' Team player. His dedication, excitement to embody this role, taking charge of the cast and crew in a way.... Man, I hope this performance and effort and role goes down in history.

Pm at a tech company. I've always been a strong performer... But before my maternity leave, I was given a poor rating (I was told I didn't deliver enough but my engineering team got pulled off towards a different priority. I didn't agree with the rating but my manager said they couldn't defend me.

Now after maternity leave, I got moved to a different team and a different manager (another failing project). One month in, the new manager is now moving to a different part of the company. The project is being botched by some stakeholders messing up the requirements and any attempts to escalate have failed. I can't control any of the process gaps and the big bloat at higher levels and lack of people at my level means no one respects my opinions.

This is mostly a vent but also, is there any guidance at all?

I think I'm being shuttled around and set up for failure because I took maternity leave.

I belong to an org where we do not have one PM aligned to a domain, but PMs aligned to projects. The result of this is that individual PMs, eager to get their work done, have used back channels to work with my direct reports and added scope or tickets to their plate.

I called them out on this and told them that new requirements need to go through me, and gave one particularly egregious PM ( who explicitly assigns work to dev on my team without informing anyone) critical feedback on this. Now they (this one PM, and then 2 others followed) have provided feedback that I am blocking collaboration.

I have several screenshots of messages where I shared tickets and asked the PMs to not assign work this way going forward.

I'm finding it hard to deal with this feedback because I am confident I am doing the right thing for my team and because I also have no channel to share feedback in turn (product org is very messed up and their management keeps changing, plus they don't seem receptive to feedback).

Any guidance on next steps is appreciated.
