"Something Fishy" Road Side Poutine in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

One of the best I've had in a long time. Fresh cut fries, curds throughout and gravy that stayed hot until the last bite.

Been searching for Carl in every thrift shop I visit and finally found him today at the Value Village in New Minas, Nova Scotia. Good day!

McDonalds Spicy Chicken Poutine

I know McDonalds poutine gets a lot of hate but I really do like it. Today I tried the Spicy Chicken Poutine and was pleasantly surprised. I didnt realize when I ordered it that it came topped with spicy Nashville sauce on top of the gravy and surprisingly it mixed well and was quite tasty. Chicken was real chicken and there was plenty of spicy sauce and gravy to keep the fries and curds well coated.

Local Disappointment

Tom's Cool Bus in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Shredded mozzarella, canned gravy and not enough. Fries were decent but guilty on all other counts.

Poutine Crime? Maybe a Misdemeanor.

Tom's Cool Bus in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Burgers are awesome, fish and chips are awesome, hell, even the hotdogs are pretty darn good. But the poutine...I had high hopes but was disappointed. Shredded mozzarella and canned gravy. Fries were good but that certainly did not save the day. Oh well, i'll just go back to fish and chips!

70s Tolkien

I can never walk past a well used paperback Tolkien from the 60s and 70s. 25 cents at the flea market. Love the design and worn look!

A small but popular roadside take out...first time trying their poutine but will certainly not be the last. Large serving with no shortage of gravy! Home cut fries and squeaky curds!

Between Bridgetown and Paradise, Nova Scotia.

Repost because I forgot the pic! Not ragebait...haha!

Had to give the Harvey's poutine a shot to compare it to McDonalds. To me, it really doesn't compare. I much prefer everything about the McDonalds poutine over Harvey's. Gravy tastes better, much more squeak and snap in the McDonalds curds and the fries...well, tough to beat McDonalds fries when it comes to fast food poutine.

Side note, the buffalo chicken nuggets at Harvey's are exceptional!
