9-week-old preterm baby suddenly started staying awake until 3–5 AM — is this a circadian rhythm phase? Can I help her?

My baby is 9 weeks old, born preterm at 35+1 weeks.
For the past 1–2 weeks, her nights have suddenly become very difficult. She sometimes doesn’t settle until 3–4 AM, and occasionally even 5 AM. During the day, however, she sleeps quite well and mostly wakes only for feeds.
We saw her pediatrician and he said everything is normal. He explained that because she was born preterm, her circadian rhythm is still developing/forming.
What I’m struggling to understand is: if her circadian rhythm is still developing, why was she able to fall asleep around 1 AM until 1–2 weeks ago, but now she suddenly stays awake until 3–5 AM? What changed?
Is this some kind of developmental transition or day/night confusion? Is there anything I can actively do to help her shift her sleep earlier, or is this something that will naturally improve as her circadian rhythm matures?
Would love to hear from other parents, especially parents of preterm babies. When did this phase improve for your baby?

9-week-old baby cries every night from 11 PM–3 AM — could it be reflux?

My baby is 9 weeks old (born premature at 35+1). She sleeps comfortably during the day, but almost every night from around 11 PM to 3 AM, she stays awake, cries a lot, and is extremely difficult to settle. During the daytime, she seems comfortable and sleeps normally.
I’ve already discussed this with her paediatrician, but we didn’t really get an explanation or solution. Should I visit the paediatrician again?
Could this be reflux, or is this kind of intense night-time fussiness common at this age, especially for a premature baby? Has anyone experienced something similar, and when did it get better for your baby?

9 week old baby suddenly fighting ALL naps and bedtime — does it actually get better?

My baby will be 9 weeks tomorrow (born at 35+1). For the past couple of weeks, she has been extremely difficult to get to sleep, both during the day and at night.
Her naps are often only 20–45 minutes, and sometimes she seems completely wide awake and happy after a short nap. Getting her down can take forever even when she seems tired. Nights are unpredictable too, and I’ve started getting anxious in the evening thinking, “Is she going to sleep tonight or are we going to be awake for hours again?”
I know 6–8 weeks can be a particularly difficult period, but we’re approaching 9 weeks and I’m honestly exhausted and starting to worry that this is just how she is.
For those of you who had a baby like this around 8–10 weeks: when did it genuinely start getting better? Did naps and nights improve naturally with age?
I’m not necessarily looking for sleep-training advice — I mostly want to hear your experiences and know that there is actually a light at the end of this tunnel. ❤️

8-week-old baby sleeps a lot during the day but is awake at night — how do you handle this?

My 8-week-old sleeps really well during the day, but nights are a completely different story 😭 She wakes frequently and is much more alert/fussy at night.
I’m starting to wonder if she’s simply sleeping too much during the day and therefore not sleeping at night.
For parents who went through this around 6–10 weeks, did you try limiting daytime naps or changing the daytime schedule? What actually helped your baby’s day/night sleep pattern settle?

8-week-old sleep, naps & feeding schedule?

Parents of 8-week-olds, what does your baby’s daily routine look like?
My baby just turned 8 weeks old, and I’m curious what a typical day looks like for others. How long are your baby’s naps? How long are they awake between naps? How often do they feed during the day and at night? Do they have a “witching hour,” and what time do they usually go to bed?
Just trying to see what’s normal at this age because every day feels different. 😊

Parents who chose painless vaccination for their 6-week baby — how was your baby’s experience?

My baby is getting her 6-week vaccinations tomorrow, and I’m feeling really anxious. We are considering the painless vaccine. For parents who chose it:
How much did your baby cry during and after the shots?
Was there fever or swelling?
Were they extra fussy or sleepy?
How long did it take for them to get back to normal?
Anything you wish you had known beforehand?

6-week-old (3.34 kg) – How much milk per feed? + Formula question

My baby is 6 weeks old and weighs 3.34 kg. How much milk should she be taking per feed and per day?
Also, when preparing 90 ml formula, do you use 90 ml water and feed the final volume (around 100 ml after adding powder), or do you discard the extra to make it exactly 90 ml?
Would love to know what your pediatrician recommended.

Parents of formula-fed babies, I need some reassurance ❤️

I’m feeling really guilty because my baby gets mostly formula due to low breast milk supply.
Are there parents here whose babies were primarily formula-fed and are still healthy with good immunity? How often do they get sick?
I’d really appreciate hearing your real-life experiences. ❤️

Need advice: Best rocker/bouncer for my 2-week-old baby

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to buy a rocker or bouncer for my newborn daughter. She’s around 2 weeks old and weighs about 2.5 kg.
My main goal is to have a safe place where she can stay happily for 15–30 minutes while awake, look around, and be gently soothed so my wife and I can get a short break.
Would you recommend a **rocker, bouncer, or swing** for a baby this young? Which one did your baby actually enjoy?
Any advice or things to avoid would be really helpful. Thanks!

Newborn feeding anxiety — burp & aspiration fear

Hi everyone,
I’m a new mom and I’m really anxious about burping and aspiration. After feeding my baby, even small coughs or spit-up make me panic that milk might go into her airway. I always try burping and keeping her upright, but I still keep overthinking every little sound or movement.
How do you know everything is actually fine? And when does this fear usually reduce for new parents?

Newborn feeding bottle

Hi everyone,
I’m from India and have a 10-day-old baby girl. We’re currently supplementing feeds and I’m trying to find a bottle with a flow that’s somewhere between Philips Avent Natural Response and Chicco Natural Feeling.
My experience so far:
Philips Avent Natural Response: My baby can suck from it, but she seems to get tired and often falls asleep before finishing 30 ml.
Chicco Natural Feeling (0m+): She finishes 30 ml in about 5 minutes. She doesn’t cough, choke, or leak milk from the corners of her mouth, but it feels a little fast to me.
I’m looking for a bottle that’s:
Available in India
Suitable for a newborn (10 days old)
More breastfeeding-friendly
Easier than Philips, but slower/more controlled than Chicco
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Which bottle worked for your baby? I’ve been considering Pigeon Softouch/Peristaltic Plus and LuvLap Natura Flo, but would love to hear real-world experiences.

34+5 weeks pregnant, cervix 1.7 cm with 1.4 cm internal os opening. Anyone stay pregnant for a few more weeks?

34+5 weeks pregnant, cervix 1.7 cm and internal os 1.4 cm open with funneling. My gynecologist is advising delivery around Friday (35+1) as she feels I could go into labor anytime. However, I’d really like to keep baby in for at least one more week if possible.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and still made it to 36+ weeks? Any advice or experiences? ❤️

StretchMarks

Hello, I am around 34 weeks and got few stretch marks on lower belly. I have been religiously applying virgin coconut oil on the belly from beginning.

I recently saw many influencer promoting orimmi belly care products. I asked gpt and it says that if you think you can afford it, it’s better to use but it won’t make much difference.

My question is, did anyone used it and see any difference or should i continue using coconut oil only.

Here is the one i was talking about:

Childbirth experience

I am currently 34 weeks pregnant. I am very much afraid of normal delivery as i read alot of stories. However, I heard people telling the c section are easier than normal delivery as both involves stitches.

Can someone share their positive birth stories. I am very much afraid at this point of time.

2.6 cm at 31 weeks!

Hi, I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant and my cervix length is around 2.6 cm. I know this can be on the shorter side, and it’s making me a little worried. Has anyone here had similar cervical measurements in the third trimester and still had a full-term or healthy delivery? What helped you the most (rest, progesterone, monitoring, etc.)?

I also had spotting issue and doctor suggested bed rest. I am so anxious right now.
