Hi! I’m currently looking for a 1x1 Fate/Grand Order roleplay partner. Just to clarify, I’m not replacing anyone - I’ve just been missing having an active RP lately, and I’d love to find someone new to write with!

I’m mainly interested in a story-focused RP set in the Fate Grand Order universe, starting with the Babylonia singularity (specifically the Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia anime version). In this setup, my OC replaces Ritsuka Fujimaru as the Chaldean Master, so while we’ll follow the general Babylonia anime storyline, things will naturally diverge in terms of character dynamics and events.

I play an OC named Emily, and I’d love a partner who’s comfortable playing canon characters- especially Merlin, Lev Flauros, Doctor Romani, Archer Gilgamesh, and Caster Gilgamesh. That said, I’m absolutely open to discussing OCs on your side too! I just prefer to talk things through together so everything fits smoothly into the story.

The RP will start without immediate romance and develop naturally over time. I really enjoy slow-burn relationships, character development, and plot progression rather than rushing into things. Long-term, I’m interested in a poly dynamic involving my OC with Archer and Caster Gilgamesh, but I’d like everything to build up organically.

About my OC:
Emily has a divine, non-human origin, but she’s not meant to be overpowered or invincible. I focus much more on her personality, emotions, and interactions than power scaling, and I do my best to keep things balanced and engaging.

You don’t need deep knowledge of the entire FGO game- familiarity with the Babylonia anime is more than enough as long as characters stay reasonably in-character. I myself don't really know much about the game as I have only started getting through Okeanos, so I'd much prefer going off events from the english dub of the Babylonia anime! <3

I don't know if it's a me problem, but I've never experienced it on Amino so experiencing it after it shut down is... a whiplash I guess. I had 2 partners already give me 2 different sides of this. One partner told me in May that during summer they will have a lot of time to roleplay, but I've had to chase after them multiple times since then. They just... Always avoid me when I come online or say something. but then I'll see them on other subreddits; sometimes daily, sometimes once every few days. This partner always says how they want to RP with me and talk to me, but then they just avoid me anyway and I don't know how to deal with it. On amino in 2016-2025ish I never had to chase after a partner, if they weren't interested in an RP anymore they would tell me and we'd go our separate ways.
My second rp partner I actually met on amino in 2021. We had multiple rps together over the years, and recently I sought them out again to start a new one on discord. All's fine and dandy but... I'm again chasing after my partner, and only last night he told he he wasn't interested in the first place. I genuinely don't understand agreeing to roleplay, planning future scenes, brainstorming ideas together... if you're not interested in the first place?

First my most active partner ditches me because I wanted him to put effort into writing Fate's Gilamesh to make it fair that I'm expected to play games that don't interest me and read 8 wiki pages on a bunch of female servants that don't even interest me just because he wants his OC to have a real harem of servants? It's not even an OC that's existed for a while... It's just an OC he made 5 minutes before we started a new fate roleplay where he ended up writing Gilgamesh as a cocky, australian love interest who just so happens to wear Gilgamesh's clothes. Now I'm dealing with one partner continously avoiding me, and lost one partner after waiting for a reply for 2 months because he couldn't tell me he isn't interested in roleplaying in the first place :/

I’m mainly interested in a story-driven RP set in the Transformers Prime universe, but with an AU twist. The core idea is that my OC Emily exists as an anomaly - essentially a glitch in the timeline who isn’t supposed to be there. Because of her presence, events don’t play out exactly like in canon, and the timeline begins to shift in subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways.

This means things like:

• Characters who originally died surviving (Cliffjumper, Skyquake, possibly others)
• Certain past events being altered
• A generally more difficult situation for the Autobots, with a stronger and more persistent Decepticon presence

The goal isn’t to make Emily some kind of savior; if anything, her existence causes instability and makes things harder. I’m really interested in exploring how that affects the story, the characters, and the overall tone of the TFP setting.

This also extends beyond Cybertronian conflicts; I’d like MECH (Silas’ organization) to be significantly more competent and threatening in this AU. Rather than being easily outplayed, they would act as a genuinely dangerous third faction, with greater competence, coordination, and a much more ruthless approach to both Autobots and Decepticons. Depending on how things develop, MECH could even escalate into a wider global threat rather than remaining a contained side antagonist. Perhaps MECH doesn’t just exist in this timeline but they’re genuinely advancing faster than they should be if things were normal.

I’ll be playing two OCs:

• Emily (the anomaly concept mentioned above)
• Luna (a second OC with a more Cybertronian-aligned nature)

I won’t dump a ton of info here since I don’t want to overwhelm anyone - I’m happy to share details in DMs!

I’m looking for a partner who’s comfortable playing canon characters (Autobots, Decepticons, etc.), and I’m totally open to discussing ideas and directions so we can build something we both enjoy.

I got past the main menu at last, and the game finally made network requests! Input works, but for some weird reason (and I don't know if that's because of my Input_DefinitionsQWERTY.txt file or if that's how the game was coded), you have to hover on a button and press E for it to register the input...

I haven't played the game since Septimont and my most recently pulled dps was Carlotta. Can I use SuiSui for her since supposedly she's a support? I already have Shorekeeper and have been running Carlotta with Sanhua and Shorekeeper before I took a break from the game. Is there anyone I should prioritize pulling for? I was originally saving for Geshu Lin so I had around 100-300 pulls saved up but I no longer believe he'll be playable and I'd like to catch up with the game - or will Carlotta still be able to clear content just fine? I don't really care about endgame content since I don't have enough teams and my builds aren't good enough to properly clear endgame content, so I focus on finishing the quests, exploration and whatever combat related content I can actually do without the top meta team

I only have 133 pulls as of right now, I don't know if I will get the summer job I'm testing for today, so I'm going in with the thought that I might not be able to buy pulls later down the line. I don't have Ashveil or Tribbie either, I have RMC, Robin, Sparkle and Ruan Mei from support units. I plan on also picking up Rin for Archer. I plan to continue saving until Gil's banner comes up on the 24th, but should I pull for MBlade now or can I wait for a rerun? I don't have enough teams to do endgame content so for now I just want to clear events like Currency Wars and the main story quests. If I pick up MBlade, do I need his sig LC too or is there an alternative that will work just as well if not better?

I don't have Saber, and I don't really intend to pull for her - I just can't afford that at this point in time and assuming that the current banners leave on the 24th, I won't be able to get Saber at all and I'm not a fan of Saber either.

6 days ago, I started reverse engineering the 2010 MMO Horse Star, it never left beta. Unfortunately the install I have is very bare and minimal, assets never loaded properly on this install - or at least according to the empty log that is. With the help of a more experienced friend, we built minimal versions of the files the game calls for to load assets:
- Build_infos.xml
- Build_infos_generated.picf
- Build_infos_generated.xml

And a dummy local server, and of course he included instructions for me on what I have to do to redirect the game to it haha

Based on the research I did on around 210 asset bundles total, since the progress 6 days ago was at around 110 asset bundles. The game uses "PeerOman Monitor" for the networking aspects, I found the exact asset server URL through a POM log and with a dummy version of Client.txt to force text to display on the first login screen, I was also able to test that it at least does respond. With the local server running, I found it still wants the file with english dialogues and will not move without that config. I really hate that Punchers Impact did this, but at least it's a Unity game - if anyone is familiar with networking in unity MMO games and would like to join and help, please join the discord server: discord.gg/aEhUVBnSzH

Nobody talks honestly about what it's actually like to be an ambitious first-time dev working on something huge. Not a game jam project but an actual game with a story bible, art direction, technical documentation and a vision that's been years in the making.

Here's what I've learned: it will break you at least once. You'll lose collaborators, you'll fall into scope creep, maybe you'll have a breakdown. You'll question whether any of it is worth it and then you'll keep going anyway because the vision won't leave you alone.

I'm not saying don't be ambitious. I'm saying go in knowing what it actually costs.

Volunteers

You'll meet volunteers and it'll be exciting - someone wants to work on your game! But chances are they want to turn your dream project into their dream project. They might push for features that make no sense for your vision, and you'll agree anyway because you don't want to lose them. Or they'll join enthusiastically, do fifteen minutes of work, and then quietly disappear for a year after finding a paid project with a steam page and real progress in-engine. Some will never clone the repository or open the engine at all.

In my case I was paying people what I could afford, only to watch them take the money and work on other projects instead. You can't always do anything about it, especially with volunteers who never signed a contract. And most volunteers won't sign one, because why would they work for free under contract when they could be paid elsewhere? And most of the time you won't even have a contract - you can't write one yourself if you don't know what you're doing, and if you ask AI it will most likely give you something that legally cannot be enforced.

Hiring artists before your vision is locked

If you hire a 3D artist before you know exactly what you need, you will almost certainly end up with unusable assets. They'll work from their own interpretation of your vision, drift from your art direction, and when you try to course correct, the working relationship breaks down. You've spent hundreds and have nothing to show for it, and that's just what happens when you hire before you're ready. It's an expensive lesson but it is a lesson.

The loop nobody warns you about

Volunteers come and go. Communication gets worse as you get more exhausted - you're frustrated from delayed deadlines, or maybe you're frustrated from a lack of support. You rewrite your documents hoping a more polished concept will attract better collaborators, you tell yourself things will be fine. Meanwhile you're watching other projects move faster than yours with larger volunteer teams, and you start wondering what you're doing wrong.

You might think a Patreon will help. It won't, not without gameplay to show. People have been burned by too many projects that were just concept art and promises. They won't fund a fever dream, and they shouldn't have to.

And then come the mental breakdowns - when everyone leaves, when you see other projects gaining support while yours sits still, when you've poured years and money into something that has made zero visible progress and you've started to neglect your own health just to keep going.

If you still want to make your game

First, learn game development. Don't commit to anything you yourself can't do at least partially. Never touch an MMO as your first, second, or even third project. If you don't have a successful company and prior experience to fund an online game, you will regret it.

When people tell you to start small, don't dismiss them. Don't tell yourself you'll be the next Tales of Rein Ravine. That game worked because it was small and simple. It wasn't an open world sandbox with procedurally generated biomes and RDR2 level horse detail - make tiny games built around a single feature, join game jams to learn how to work in a team or maybe join a larger team as a student before you try to lead your own.

Your dream game is tempting, especially if nothing like it exists yet. But if you skip these steps you'll find yourself stuck in the same cycle: volunteers join, see the project has no playable build, go quiet, and eventually disappear without telling you why. If someone doesn't want to work on something, you won't change their mind. Let them go, don't bombard them with questions and attempts at decoding what happened.

The actual advice

Don't start a project of this scale until you have a stable income to fund it properly. Build the foundation, write the documents, develop the vision, but don't hire anyone and don't take anyone's money until you can afford to see it through.

The vision can wait, your sanity can't and if you're still in school, finish school first - don't ruin your future over a sudden desire to make your dream game. If you don't have stable income yet, get it first. The game will still be there. A well funded, well rested developer with a clear vision and the resources to execute it will always make a better game than someone burning themselves out trying to hold together a volunteer team on a non-existent budget.

Your ambition isn't the problem - the timing might be. You can be ambitious and have the experience to back it up, or maybe you have the funding to make your dream happen. But if you have only ambition, and only ideas, thinking "I'll become the next Star Stable!" - then please understand that before Star Stable Online came 12 different games just in the world of Jorvik alone, then 5 "Springdale" games, and all of the people involved had some prior experience in game development. Maybe by some miracle you will succeed - and I truly hope you do - but please don't dedicate your life to a game you may never release, and remain in the same loop of being unable to let it go because of how much passion you already poured into it. Please save your time, money and sanity. Once you go public and start taking money you can't simply go silent - but you might not be able to handle the pressure of public expectations. So - start small, learn first, see what the industry is like before committing to a large scale project. I learned all of this the hard way for the last 3 years and I suffered greatly the whole time, so please don't make the same mistakes that I did.

I don't care what gender you as an rp partner are, I'm personally only looking to roleplay an F x M ship with my oc, Archer Gilgamesh and Ruler Gilgamesh - she's polyamory, so eventually I want her to date both of them at the same time. And yes, you heard me right - Ruler Gilgamesh from Fate/Samurai Remnant! I figured since it's a completely messed up war, the Fuyuki Church closes down the second they catch wind of two versions of Gilgamesh being present? Especially if one of them was a Ruler class servant summoned to oversee the war.

Preferences:

Writing style: semi-literate to literate is fine, but advanced literate and up is preferred.

Reply length: at least a small paragraph with actions, emotions, or tone (not just dialogue), like 8-15 lines maybe

Activity: I’m not expecting constant rapid-fire replies, but I’m looking for consistency (around 4 to 6 replies a day during the week or more if possible)
