Playing the game even if I'm spoiled...

Years ago I watched markiplier play this game and I finally have the means to play it.

A Lot of my memories of that playthrough is kinda foggy, but I do remember one world-shattering information...

"Something something true quality" about the Main character...

Anyways, I played just until the first neuromod and this game is scaring the living jesus outta me. "Fucking mimics" everytime I kill one. Loving it!!!

Just Finished my first trilogy run! (Spoilers)

I played as a Female Qunari Jedi (Knight Enchanter).

I think this is the best of the trilogy to be honest. I think its primarily because of the amount of world you get to explore and the overall look of the game is better (so you can kinda attribute the fact of me liking it to it being released the latest in the trilogy)

The classes are varied enough that I enjoyed playing as each character.

The characters are actually funnier to me compared to the previous games and they felt more different from each other. The only knock I have for the characters is some of them are kinda buzzkills looking at you Solas and Vivienne. Cassandra being a smut enjoyer is funny, too. The most underrated companion would be Doran for me. I kinda admire his nationalism and awareness of the terrifying things that Tevinter has done, but still hopes he can make it better. Cullen's entire arc throughout the games is solid as well. Josephine would be my romance if she wasn't just an ambassador, I ended up with Sera who's pretty cute and funny, too. The Blackwall twist was super unexpected and admirable as well. Iron Bull is my Qunari big bro.

The plot is low key gripping. The fact that you actually go around the continent and fix breaches actually feels like you're fixing the world one breach at a time. The set pieces kinda falls short at times i.e. Wicked Hearts, some parts of the time travel quest for the mages, The dragon you tame, What Pride has Wrought, and the Final Boss fight (I breezed through Cory). The best one would be Here Lies the Abyss. I really loved the Fade (ironic since Fade from DAO sucked) and the Castle Adamant.

All in all, I think this is the best of the trilogy and any comments/inquires of my run would be greatly appreciated. Also what are your thoughts on my Inquisitor? She looks sick af like a dragon born Qunari

What The Great Divide's greatest criticism is what I love about it so much...

Going around the thoughts and opinions I see online about the album, I kept hearing how people deem it to be... Too long and "same-y." They also state that Stick Season was way more varied in terms of tempo and sound.

I completely agree with their takes, but in the opposite way.

What I really like about The Great Divide is how consistent the atmosphere is, even if they're so much different perspectives in each song that give different themes in the same setting. I gave the previous album another listen and found its variety a bit less concise on what story am I suppose to visualize.

What I really want to say is how The Great Divide is much more targeted to those that are invested in Noah Kahan's backstory (props to him making a documentary right about the time he released the album) compared to how Stick Season has varied enough flavor for everybody to have a favorite song on it.

Disclaimer: not hating on anyone in particular nor to stick season (New Perspective is still one of my all time faves) also, feel free to disagree. I just really wanna talk about the songs more.

I really love how Noah's recent direction is significantly different compared to I Was/I Am and Busyhead...

I find that Stick Season and the Great Divide are more "physical" in a sense compared to the aforementioned albums. I'm not saying that in a bad way, but in a "Oh, this is so new. Love this for him" type of way.

This is just me spitballing here, but I think he finally thought that he had enough of a space to talk about real-life scenarios rather than complex emotional scenarios like Busyhead, Hollow, Godlight, Bury Me, Animals, Sink, Save Me, Tidal.

However, the messages are still consistent throughout the albums. You've got Save Me with Doors, Glue Myself Shut, Bad Luck, and Northern Attitude. Youngblood with You're Gonna Go Far. (Feel free to say some more analogous songs between the albums. I would like to know more.)

What I love about it is, is that he has so much ways of saying the same things but for different types of people. Like if you remove the backstory between the song of his recent album the themes are still there that echos from previous albums.

Just finished Dragon Age 2. Here are some thoughts and spoilers of course...

After starting the tutorial I was like "Damn, I like the fast combat system ngl compared to the slow pace of Origins" and the Story was actually not bad with the whole Templars vs. Mages thing. The Characters aren't so bad at all either (romanced Isabel with Aggressive Mage Healer Hawke). Although, Carver is a bit annoying and Fenris is kinda hard to be around. Loved Aveline and Donnic's thing. I did, however, had to kill Merrill's entire tribe, but they were mean anyways. Varric was a joy to have around, he was like my Fem Hawke's ride or die... I also love that Varricis the Narrator of the story and him being so fond of telling stories. I loved that I got to kill Fenris. I was so tired of him ngl. If I could I would've killed Carver, too. Mom's death was sickening ngl in a good shocking story way. Like it was so disturbing, I bet if anyone wanted to do a Templar run it would be that reason.

After that it kinda falls down a cliff. I was wondering at the start why people were critical of the game's map thingy, until Act 2 rolled around and I got hit with a realization that every map in this game is recycled and that's not going to change. When Act 3 came I was just so sick of the places that I just wanted the game to be over with... Kirkwall itself was good though.

The weapons and only being able to equip Hawke was disappointing, too. The side character's felt flatter than they did in the first game where it either boils down into them being evil people or victims.

I feel like I picked a less than fun class. I played Mage Force Healer in Hard (probably why I didn't enjoy it as much) and kinda botched Merrill's stats since I gave her will instead of Con and only got to rebuild her halfway through Act 2. It was just until the start of the Act 3 that I managed to think how Force gravity suck thing and Merrill's Tempest/Firestorm can make sure they stay inside the AOE. I didn't feel like my Hawke was actually effective as a Healer because of CDs or the aura's range is so small. My usually Squad was Isabel/Ave/Merrill and swapped Varric sometimes for Isabel because Isabel is so hard to use early game when her crits aren't guaranteed.

But the ending was kinda sick ngl. Anders blowing up the Chantry and Meredith's boss fight? It was insanely cool when she jump liked sixty feet in the air and controlled the metal statues I was kinda jealous she can do that.

All in all, it was a bit disappointing to come from Origins to this, butI still enjoyed some of it. I am aware they had little to no time to actually make this game properly because of deadline issues in the past so nothing we can do about that.

Also why tf was that Profane final boss in the Deep Roads so much harder than any other boss in the game. Second to that was Coryphecus or wtv his name is but its not close at all in terms of difficulty. I didnt change diff for Cory. I had to lower from Hard to Normal for Profane and not for Cory.

(Didn't do Mark of the Assassin. I got so tired of the game by that point)

For a music themed event, the new rhythm miku levels sucks so much.

I'm a casual rhythm game player and love music games in general. Man, they botched it so hard. i know the default rhythm controls already suck but man the miku levels suck. So much for the music theme.

The Warden's task/role is funnily similar to this other famous Bioware game... (Spoilers ofc!)

Spoilers for Mass Effect 3 (its a semi old game but still spoilers)

I just finished DAO (currently playing Awakening) and its a 9/10. If it didn't crash every 20 mins I would've made it a 10.

So spoilers the Warden's story in this game is legitimately just Shepard's role in the 3rd Mass Effect game. Shepard basically had to play diplomat and unite the races against the Reapers.

Shepard/Warden = Reaper/Darkspawn.

Shepard had to play errand boy/girl for all the races to finally unite against a threat that would've wiped all intelligent species from the face of the universe. What DAO did better was the Race choice/story differences that gives different viewpoints in each of the races' issue instead of Shepard still being an pro-human character even if Spectre's are meant to represent the council.

There's also the fact that the Warden's/Shepard's squad are different races which really gave the player a different viewpoint in the dynamics of each race

Its so funny how the Spectres and the Grey Wardens are these special ops irregulars that don't necessarily act within the letter of the law.

My Mods are erroring once I install them...

I'm trying to install the DAZIP file of Qwinn's Ultimate DAO fixpack v3.52, but it keeps saying error and a popup happens when I leave the Updater that says you need the updated version of this game even if I just downloaded the game from steam... Can someone please help me on this?

Are the pull odds really that bad?

I'm trying to pull all S.E.E.S. members and those that are semi-required for their comps. I recently pulled for Ange, Makoto Y., and Yukari.

All pulls required the 110 guarantee, am I unlucky or it really is just that difficult to pull it earlier than the last guaranteed pull. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful since I know guarantees aren't a thing for most gachas.

Sidenote: I'm F2P and have about 14k and some tickets so I can pretty much guarantee Akihiko, but I heard A1 Yukari/Akihiko is pretty good, too.

I want my squad all wearing S.E.E.S. uniform i currently have 12k and 5 ish tickets for Akihiko(He's still not in SEA because of the delays) and I'll complete the S.E.E.S. team. Please!

Their use of panning is so awesome...

Dedede, Chokkan Way, and 奥二重で見る (Looking through my subtle double eyelids) are the best examples of how much each instrument contribute to the song.

Try listening to it only in one ear and you'll appreciate each instrument more.

Meeting him again gives me such bittersweet feelings...

This is on the Persona 5X gacha game and I only played this game just to meet him (and SEES) all over again.

The feelings I have while their dialogue progresses is like I'm talking to a friend who passed on. Oh, Makoto, you don't know how much you changed my life. I may just be talking to a ghost of you, but I'll cherish it nonetheless.

Do you guys think missing some social links by the end of the game is made by design?

I'm doing a thesis on this game and would like to inquire about this.

I know that there's a highly unlikely chance that a player manages to max out all social links in one run without a guide. Like let's say you weren't playing in a min-max way and this is your first persona game, do you guys think its unlikely or is that just me?

Especially if you were playing this for the first time back in the first incarnation of the game and since this system hasn't existed in the franchise before Persona 3 (or am i wrong and atlus has done this before)

Is it weird that this game has made me change my life more than anyone/anything else in my life?

I played P3P during the pandemic when I was on a emulation binge on my android phone. Before that I never really did anything that significant in highschool I just moved from day to day, meeting the same people, going to the same place and doing the same things. I never really had anything going for me, no talents, no smarts, and not sporty in any way.

After playing every incarnation of this game, my drive to do more things in my life skyrocketed when I got into college. I wanted to do more things I wasn't able to do, no matter how mundane it is. (Still working on some)

I've dance in front of thousands of people, confessed for the first time, joined a theater org, went to a concert alone, and in general meet a lot of new people. I even cosplayed Makoto Yuki. I'm even doing aundergrad thesis on this game. Things I never would've dared imagine doing. Although this mantra has also made me try alcohol and cigarettes(once), but not really to the point that I seek those out. Just to try, basically.

What I'm asking really is, for you guys, how much has this game changed you?

Apparently what I've been doing for the majority of my life is "sense of foreshortened Future"

Title, I've had these thoughts when I was 14 that I wouldn't live past 16, when I was 16 I wouldn't live past 18. I'm 21 now. I think I still have it, but not as extreme as I did back then.

Its so funny that what I viewed as a "lifestyle of making the most of everyday" was actually tied to a form of trauma response.

Anybody else have this?

Will Chord eventually be powercrept by future buffers?

I currently have Chord and Ange as my double highlight system and whatever element single target dps I have.

Chord is pretty much the backbone of all my comps at this point.

Cycle of No ID to get an ID... No Proof of Residence and need Proof of Residence for Barangay Certificate of Residency...

Title...

I'm trying to get a postal ID because it might be the easiest ID to get for a Bank Account. I'm 21 and I'm in college right now. Help with this paradoxical problem. Apparently, bills under a parent's name doesn't count as a proof of residence so I can't use that for the third requirement for a postal ID. Barangay Certificate of Residency requires a proof of residency which is why im getting it in the first place.

Using a Certificate of Confirmation and College ID for the second Requirement.

Why is this the Philippines...

What spurred me into watching The Magicians is my vague memories of some episodes back when I was younger. (I'm 21 now). I learned as I watched the show is that those memories are specifically the 3rd season, which is the best season imo. I DID NOT REMEMBER HOW MUCH SEX WAS IN THIS SHOW BACK THEN. Here are my thoughts about it.

Pros:

- The filters? I couldn't get enough of it. The way it was used as a way to familiarize the watcher of where they were and what was happening.

- I love the B-plots that happened within each episode.

- The characters? Aside from some boring ones, are really great. Go Q!

- The way that they tied up loose ends where a character from a previous Season/Episode will pay off in the future and show up again. It just makes sense!

- The way each character had different relationships with magic and how it can't really fix all their problems.

- The Keys arc is what I love the most.

- Elliot and Q relationship is a great tragic story. I LOVED THAT PUZZLE EPISODE!

- I love how Julia(S1) and Alice both personified the greed when it comes to magic.

Cons:

- Season 5 was not it. It felt arbitrary and random. It kinda felt like they just said "Yknow how we created 4 seasons of well-thought out pay-offs, let's stop doing that and just make a standalone season"
