Defrosted Silken Tofu Nuggets and Crinkle Cut Fries, Actually 🔥

Perfect late night stoner meal after a long hard day, couldn’t find a recipe I liked so just looked at what I had in my pantry and whipped this up and threw them in my air fryer.

I’m not vegetarian so I added some chicken powder, then some spices I thought would go well like a pinch of poultry seasoning, some paprika and smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, and roasted garlic seasoning, cornstarch then added a splash of soy sauce and chipotle hot sauce to the tofu, and tossed the torn tofu pieces in the spice/cornstarch mix.

I then coated each piece with tapioca starch before placing them in the air fryer.

Now to come up with a good sauce to toss them in

Finally saw my first Bloödcheëp, singing loud and proud

The photos aren’t very good as he was in the highest treetop and I only had my phone camera on me. If you look closely , he looks like he’s wearing a fluffy coat and has a little bald head with a single feather dangling on top

I rarely see my neighbourhood cardinals in this phase, especially since I’ve had to take my birdfeeders down due to squirrels and a raccoon family emptying them daily, but I do see many Blücheëps up close each year. Blücheëp season is fast approaching. Also bonus Blücheëp pic .

Concerned about new neighborhood cat in Canada, has collar but is he being cared for?

***UPDATE -

Another cat rescue and TNR are with us, we have a trap set up and we’re hoping he comes by soon

Local TNR is going to reach out to us tomorrow, if not I got another back up willing to help with a trap the next day, some people reached out to help with vet costs if needed and someone reached out wanting to help and adopt him if he needs a good home. I love my cat communities 🥹 Thank you to all suggestions

—-—————————

Hello, this handsome male cat appeared for the first time a few months back and I had assumed someone had recently adopted him from a rescue as from outward appearance he seemed to have had a rough life and part of the top of his back looked as though the fur had recently been shaved. He really adores the feral girl I’ve been caring for the last 10 years and we’ve been watching him closely, we’ve been concerned as it appears his health has been declining rather than improving.

First, his collar appears tight and he’s missing the fur underneath where the collar sits

Second, he’s been developing eye infections with pockets forming underneath his eyes and crusting

Third today, we can see some cartilage poking out from an injury to his ear.

This no longer appears to be a rescued cat and perhaps an abandoned or neglect situation I’m thinking .

He is a very sweet boy and hasn’t started any fights or got into any skirmishes with the other neighbourhood Tom’s, he respects our feral girls boundaries which is a surprise to us as it’s the first time we’ve really seen her socialize since her sibling disappeared. Hes somewhat scared so won’t allow us to get to close, day by day we’re trying to make progress and get him comfortable with us.

I live in Gatineau Quebec and contacted my local spca but from what I’ve heard they don’t do much. We haven’t been able to read the tag on his collar . I’m not sure if I should contact my city or reach out to cat rescuers in Ottawa considering he might have an owner, and if so I can’t say for sure they’ve been caring for him well considering he looks worse over this past week and I’d rather contact someone as I don’t want to risk it getting any worse.

Who is this lil noodle in Gatineau, Quebec

Found this caterpillar on my wooden chair, moved him to a patch of native wildflowers and plants not sure what type this prefers.
