San Diego

Hello Kiwis,

I see your boys will be based in San Diego for the World Cup. I'm a Londoner who somehow ended up living here so if you have any questions about the area please feel free to ask.

There's a few New Zealand owned restaurants & bars in town.

Best of Luck!

Kante v Newcastle

I was at work for the game.

For those that did see it, how did Kante look when he came on?

I am hoping that he makes his breakthrough next season, in a midfield duo with Magassa.

I know I am a dreamer. I'm also hoping that Mayer, Brown, Fearon & Ajala become regulars.

But anyway, how was Kante?

Cheers.

Team for Newcastle

We need a win.

I mean we could lose or draw & still stay up but we really really need a win. And a good one at that.

So with that in mind I propose we start with a slightly attacking team.

Hermansen

AWB Mavropanos Diouf

Soucek Fernandes

Bowen Pablo Taty Summerville

Wilson

ATTACK!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously I'm joking with that line up but who do you think should start & how should we approach this game?

New Taqueria in Chollas View/Webster

On the corner of Federal & 47th there's a building which was going to be Chula Tacos for years but they eventually went to Imperial Beach.

We drove past the other day & saw a TAQUERIA sign up but didn't catch the name.

Does anyone know who's going to be opening up there?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello All,

Please forgive me if this is a daft question but the Missus & I are cycling some of the Santa Ana River Trail this Wednesday & was thinking of starting at Anaheim at 11am & heading northeast & back (35 miles).

But the Angels game is at 1pm. Is the area mayhem when games are on or is it still manageable? I'm thinking of parking & post cycling tacos.

Many thanks in advance.

p.s. I'm originally from London & areas around football grounds get bloody crazy when teams are playing at home.

Relegation isn't that bad. I've experienced one a decade since I started supporting us in 74/75 season. Here's ten reasons to be cheerful.

1 - We'll offload the last Dave.

2 - We'll get a shitload of money for Bowen & Fernandes

3 - We'll have the best attendance in the league.

4 - We're Lincoln City's bogie team. They haven't beaten us since 1956.

5 - Kante will be the league's best midfielder.

6 - In fact, Fearon, Ajala, Mayers etc will take the league by storm.

7 - We'll find out why we signed LaMadrid.

8 - If our games are no longer televised, overseas fans won't have to get up at silly o'clock anymore.

9 - We get to renew our real Cup Final. Sheffield Utd.

10 - Our fans will be able to get Ryan Reynolds autograph.

Would anyone make any changes tomorrow? I doubt it.

My biggest hope is that Summerville is back to his best. It would be fucking brilliant if he (& Bowen) went on another tear up for the last four games.

I just had a look at Brentfords recent results. We've both played a lot of the same teams recently.

They lost to Man Utd - Who we drew with

They drew with Fulham - Who we beat

They drew with Everton - Who we beat

They drew with Leeds - Who we drew with in the Cup

They drew with Wolves - Who we beat

Of course, this means fuck all tomorrow but I like to find any advantage.

If results go our way this weekend we're FIVE points clear of relegation & ONE point from 15th.

If they go against us we're back in the relegation zone & SIX points off 16th.

After all that, I'm picking a 1-1 draw but hoping for another win, 1-2.

What do you reckon?

Hello All,

I know that Slappys in National City is showing the fight with a $20 cover charge this Saturday but does anyone know of anywhere else?

I work til 6pm & Slappys isn't a big venue so I need a back up plan in case it's packed.

Many thanks in advance & who do you think will win?

Obviously they're are still playing for 19th place but both teams are relegated.

Apart from them, Arse & Citeh are playing for top spot, Man U, Liverpool & Villa are in Champions League spots right now but could be caught.

Everyone from Brighton down to Palace (if they win their game in hand) are in the race for 6th.

And Newcastle, while probably 99.9% safe, are now looking over their shoulders at the relegation battle.

I don't remember a season where almost everyone is still battling for something with four games left.
