How far do you drive to shoot/how far are you willing to travel?

This is for regular range sessions( bi weekly to monthly)

I inherited several rifles recently and the only ranges that are close are all indoor and limited to 25 yards, which feels pointless for rifles

So out of curiosity, how far does the average gun owner travel to go shooting?

▲ 7 r/22lr

Looking for our next 22lr, preferably a precision bolt gun.

My family own 4 22lr rifles.

Marlin model 60

Marlin model 70

S&W MP 22lr

Henry golden boy 22lr.

I would like to start shooting longer range 22lr, potentially 150 yards+ once I work my way up to it.

Any recommendations for a quality bolt gun that can be accurate to those ranges with proper ammo and scope.

Would prefer a bolt gun

Accurate to distance of 150 yards while suppressed.

Not really for hunting just bench rest( bad back and other issues).

Budget between $3500 and $4k for the rifle.

Rarest ships in game.

What are the rarest ships in the game?

I have several for consideration

Alpha Texas, only around 130 iirc

Alpha G-101

Kamikaze BS( blue steel ) probably tied with Alpha Texas for rarity.

FE Gremyashchy, apparently I was the only one dumb enough to buy it 🤦🏻‍♂️

1 year anniversary edition Boise as well, but definitely not in the top 5 for rarity.

What are some of the other ultra rare ships?

So who is maxing out Commander Evans when they get him?

I know I am 😁

I have 1.8 million commander XP

1429 promotion orders

Commander Evans and the USS Johnston

Any idea how we will get commander Evans? Normal crate or stupid event?

Also does this mean we will get USS Johnston soon?

Son is looking to buy his first hunting rifle when he turns 18 in a few months

Son is looking to buy his first hunting rifle when he turns 18 in a few months.

His current budget is $3k but might go up to $4500 for everything if he can get enough work before then.

He plans on hunting everything from white tail to elk or moose with it at some point.

If possible he would like a multi caliber “ switch “ barrel. I‘m Not too familiar with those TBH

Thoughts on what would be a good start? He does plan on moving out west in a few year( Montana or Wyoming.

ETA

I appreciate the replies and feedback.

I know it’s a lot of money for a first rifle, which we discussed at length and I see his side of the argument.

He wants to spend the money now, on a quality set up that can last him years before he gets tied down with all the trappings of adult life and with prices continually going up, may not be able to afford it in the future.

While I don’t agree with this 100% at least he’s not buying a Blaser R8 🤣

Considering an Aug A3 for HD

I’m looking at an AUG A3 or grand power stribog for HD/range use. I do realize there may be a slight bias asking here.

I’m limited to 25 yard indoor ranges for the most part.

One of the main appeals is the caliber change ability. How difficult is it for a complete moron such as myself? Had an embarrassing recently at the range that proves it🤣

How well does it suppress with 300 Blackout and 9mm?

Anyone here have experience with the 9mm conversion? It’s my primary use case given my range situation.

ETA

How is recoil with all 3 caliber option. My wife has 2 kinds of arthritis and is a consideration.

If you were limited to 25 yard indoor ranges, what rifle(s) would you use?

I’m pretty much limited to 25 yard indoor ranges, unless I have a ton of free time to make a 90 minute trip to an outdoor range that may or may not be packed.

I have several rifles I inherited that are not ideal for indoor range use, handguns I shoot often and a PCC( CZ scorpion), plus several 22lr rifles.

I prefer rifles over pistols and even the PCC, but 22lr while fun can lack variety.

Any suggestions for rifles that would be better suited to indoor short ranges?

Yes I realize how dumb this is🤣

Very busy dad needs some suggestions for dump and forget, 8-10 hour slow cooker recipes .

Any suggestions for a very busy dad that could save me some time on the days I work both my jobs or take my youngest to his ST therapy sessions in the evenings during the week.

Beef, pork, chicken doesn’t matter. Would love to have some dump and forget meals to make life a little less hectic and the house a little cooler during hot summer days.

Trying to decide, SP9A3 or SP45 A3

I‘m hoping to buy either an SP9A3 or SP45A3 by years end.

Problem is I can’t decide which one. No I can’t afford both 🤣.

Primarily used for range and HD, as there have been more issues in a roughly 2 mile radius of our home( setting doors on fire, typical 3 hooded/masked friendly people pounding on doors at 2 am).

I love both calibers, definitely want to suppress. Primary users would be myself and my wife.

Thoughts?

Grandmother passed several years before grandfather. Probate was not started until he passed. Ohio

My grandmother passed before my grandfather ( he did several months ago) by a couple years.

My uncle is starting probate for both of them this week.

How could this complicate the probate process?

My concern is if they have conflicting beneficiaries in their wills. IE if grandpa left her something, she passed first but had different beneficiaries in her will. Who does it go to seeing it’s not being handled until after my grandfathers death.

I’m probably not explaining my concerns correctly.

SP45 A3 for home defense?

I have a CZ scorpion 16” barrel with a faux suppressor pinned and welded. it’s a fun gun but not being able to suppress it means it’s time to move on.

I‘ve always enjoyed 45 ACP, which has me considering the Stribog.

Anyone here use it as primary HD weapon?

How is the reliability? Still see it mentioned as an issue.

Worth suppressing?

Is it a hassle to make it a SBR if we go that route?

How is mounting lights and other accessories ?

Thinking about trading in my scorpion 16” and buying a different PCC

Been considering trading in or selling my Scorpion 16” with faux suppressor ( bought 5 years ago) and using that towards a new PCC.

I would like something I could actually suppress, thinking 45acp and roller delayed.

What are my best options for best recoil and suppression in 45 ACP?

Don't have a set budget as long as the gun itself is below $2k.

Best French door fridge under $1500

Time has come to replace our current fridge.

Wife and kids want a French door.

We don’t need all the fancy screen, WiFi, etc and we don’t even need a water/ice dispenser in the door.

The only thing is we know LG is horrible with their horizontal compressors. Other than that, no idea. Don’t need counter depth either.

thought I had the measurements in my notes but must of deleted them.

Still any general recommendations would be appreciated

How difficult is it to find out if I’m a beneficiary of a Franklin Templeton or Merrill Lynch account? Anyone have experience dealing with these companies in this situation?

My grandfather passed away several months ago, and the family thus far has made no efforts to begin probate or anything estate related.

I know he has an account with Merrill Lynch and Franklin Templeton, as well as a Bridgestone pension.

I know I need his SSN, and death certificate, and to fill out the appropriate paperwork with each company.

I’m wondering if this is an all day process to get everything together I work 2 jobs with a special needs child, so free time seems rare to say the least.

Currently there is no executor and his will is on deposit at the courthouse. Contacting family has been pointless thus far.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Our son, 8 is in 2nd grade.

Diagnosis

childhood apraxia of speech

Cerebral /Cortical vision impairment

Currently in the

Structured Teaching Reinforced In a Visual Environment program

and want to move him to the Structured Teaching for Autistic and Communications-Delayed Kids

we are against this move, as the kids in that class are all non verbal.

School wants to advance him to advance to 3rd grade.
We feel retention is best.

School evaluation was showing he has a reading level of a high kindergarten/low 1st grade.

We have just obtained an advocate through the district.

We requested an independent evaluation.

They have given us 3 providers to choose from, all psychologists who as far as we can tell have no experience or certification with our son’s conditions.

Our question.

Does the evaluator need to have experience or specific knowledge to correctly evaluate our son?

My son has been doing some small wood working projects around the house the past year( built a vanity, bed frame, couple closet doors currently being worked on ), small workbenches etc.

What are the best online resources where he can start to learn to do it himself, as everything he’s done so far is learning by reading and watching online tutorials.

Definitely want to support him in this if I can. Just need to know where and how to start.

My 8 year old got Marvel Cosmic invasion recently and loves it. I’ve had fun playing with him, now I’m looking for other beat ‘em ups.

Next one will probably be Shredders revenge but I’m looking for others both of us can enjoy as well.
