Which dating apps do you guys use?

I was wondering what dating apps do you guys use, if any? I usually just use Hinge or DilMil. I stopped using Tinder and Bumble, because I wasn't that successful on them.

And I usually get more matches on Hinge, I have my filters set to "South Asian" only, but I've expanded my filters when swiping in certain cities. I get fewer matches on DilMil, and they're usually far away. And I've noticed better results, after changing my location to bigger cities, which usually have more ABCDs in them.

I don't get a crazy amount of matches on Hinge, but it is a noticeable difference, especially compared to some apps, where I don't match with anyone. But part of that just might be, me only swiping on other South Asians on Hinge (and they're more receptive?), versus swiping on every race/ethnicity on Tinder because Tinder doesn't a race filter.

WLB at Micron?

I applied for a Process Engineer role at Micron in Boise, and have an interview coming up with them. I was wondering how work-life balance is there? I have 7 YOE.

I've heard that some people there, do end up working 60+ hours a week. But it is dependent on the particular module. But generally, I had the impression that Micron had WLB than companies like TSMC or Samsung.

Want to move to the SF Bay Area and live out of my car. Anyone done this?

I really want to do this so bad. I hate where I live so much. I talked to an AI Bot and it says its a good idea. I think im gonna do it with a job lined up. Even AI hates the city i live in too and shared the same experiences.

I also never want to live in a city with rude and mean people ever again.

How common is it, for ABCD guys to get an arranged marriage?

I was curious how common it was, for ABCD guys to get an arranged marriage? I assumed that most would prefer to just find someone organically, date them for a while, and then propose and get married.

But some guys are not that successful in dating, for whatever reason, and are pressured by their parents to settle down by a certain age, instead of waiting for the "one". Do you know of any ABCD guys (maybe even yourself) who've went through with an arranged marriage? And if so, was it to another ABCD? Or a mainlander? And has that marriage been successful, so far?

I personally don't know of anyone in real life who was born in America, who got an arranged marriage. But I also don't know that many ABCDs. I was curious, because my dad is asking me about getting one, but I'm not really a fan of the idea. For reference, I'm 30 years old.

Time between technical phone screen and panel interview?

I was wondering, for those of you who did a phone screen, how long did you have to wait, until you were invited to do a panel interview?

Do some guys actually put their "size" on their profile?

Do some guys actually put their penis size in their profiles? I do see that some girls mention that they only want guys above a certain size, so that made me wonder. I wasn't going to put my size on there, I was just curious.

And also in that case, what's stopping a guy from just lying about it? The girl wouldn't find out, until they meet up in person. She could ask for a picture, but he could just send a fake one.

Dating a woman who makes more money than you?

Do any guys on here, prefer if their partner makes less than them? As in, you will not date someone that makes significantly more than you?

I was talking about this with one of my friends (non-Desi), who said that he does not want to date a woman with a "real" career, so that she's able to take care of the kids, when they're still young. Which I thought was understandable.

But with how expensive things are nowadays, at least for myself, I would prefer if both of us worked. I wouldn't mind if she made more than me, I would probably see it as a plus. As that means we could afford to live in a HCOL area, if we wanted to.

Of course, some women only want to date someone who makes more than them. But in this scenario, I'm making the assumption that they don't care about that.

Google Raxium Senior Process Engineer Role

I saw a posting for this, and applied, but I never got an interview. I was wondering if interviews are reserved for people with Master's and PhD degrees, with 10+ YOE. Or do I just need prior experience, relevant to microLEDs? It looked very competitive to get, LinkedIn showed that over 100+ people applied.

For reference, I have a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, and only have 7 YOE.

Dating people within your income bracket?

I had a question for people who are high earners, and are dating other people within your income bracket.

How did you meet this person? Did you move to a city, with the sole purpose of dating other high earners? Or did you just meet this person by chance, and/or already living in a MCOL/HCOL area?

Note: If this isn't the right subreddit, then mods can delete this post.

I was thinking about switching jobs, and wanted to move to a different city.

Part of the reason being that I'm 30 and single, and I think that dating isn't very good where I currently live (North Texas). There are actually a lot of Telugus where I live, but most of them are either already taken, or are from India. I'm not entirely opposed to dating girls who grew up in India, but I find that I don't have much in common with them, and I'd prefer to date an Indian American girl. There are some college-aged Indian American girls near here, but I'd prefer someone a little closer to my age. Most of my life, I've lived in cities which had very few Indians, relative to the total population.

I wanted to move to a city which had a lot of Telugu Indian Americans, since I'm Telugu and I'd prefer to date a Telugu girl. I was wondering where should I move? My sole motivation isn't just moving for dating, but it is one of the reasons. One of the other reasons being, I do want to switch jobs for better pay.

I was told that NYC, San Francisco, and Edison (NJ), would be the best options for meeting other Telugu people who grew up here, but San Francisco in general is just bad for dating. I would also be limited by where I could get a decent paying job, but I would like to at least apply for jobs and see what offers I get in those cities.
