Merrel Moab 3 too big

I wear a 10.5 but when I tried out at the store, the Moab was kind of tight in the front so I went half size up. Now it’s really roomy, but my feet slides forward, especially on downhill hiking.

I’m an occasional hiker maybe two or three times yearly so I don’t want to go purchase a different size/brand. What are my options?

Heard about SUPERFLEET insoles or similar. Are those really worth it? How do I get the right size so I don’t end up regretting like the shoes?

My model doesn’t come with the lacing hook so I can’t do the heel lock lacing either.

Please advise.

Hiking shoe recommendations for a beginner 14 year-old teen

Any recommendations for beginner hiking shoes for a teen?

He currently wears size 8 tennis shoes, and I’m thinking about getting him hiking shoes for occasional use—probably 3–4 times a year at most. He also outgrows shoes about every 6 months, so I’m not sure if it’s worth buying an expensive pair.

We are planning a trip in two weeks where we’ll be doing some moderate hiking for about 1–2 hours. Should I get dedicated hiking shoes, or would his tennis shoes be good enough?

Also, do you have any recommendations for brands and a reasonable price range, considering they will be used minimally?

Thanks in advance!

North Carolina vacation places

We are planning a 5-day road trip to North Carolina and are considering Boone or Asheville. We prefer mountains, scenic views, and calm, quiet natural areas. We also enjoy hiking.
Is Boone the ideal spot, or do you have other recommendations? We will be driving from Baltimore, MD, and prefer a maximum drive time of 6–8 hours one way.

We loved West Virginia. Seneca rocks. That’s the type of vibe we are looking for if that helps. Far Away from people.

Tesla hit and driver left note

I received a note on my Tesla model three, somebody hit the rear bender on the passenger side. Called and Talked to them, they are willing to work with the insurance and even pay out-of-pocket if the amount is reasonable without getting insurance involved. How do I proceed?

She said it was her daughter driving the vehicle, and she will get the insurance information to us as soon as she gets back home since she was driving when I called.

UPDATE.
Insurance information has been exchanged, I contacted a local body shop and waiting on a quote.

On closer Inspection, I noticed my wheel has been scratched up as well along with the body paint. So the cost might go up than merely a patch up.

UPDATE

Received repair estimate - $1495 + rental cost.

Picked up fruiting pepper plant - repot or not?

I picked up an Armageddon hot pepper plant from Home Depot this morning, and it already has several peppers on it. However, I think I may need a bigger pot. The current pot size is 9x8 inches (about 2.2 gallons), but I’m afraid repotting might shock the plant, cause it to drop the peppers, or slow down production.

Any tips? It’s going to be very hot here in Maryland over the next few days—upper 90s to 100°F. Should I wait until next week when temperatures drop back into the 80s? Should I fertilize it in the meantime? Some of the leaves are already yellow, and several have holes or look partially eaten. I’m not sure what’s going on

Need help addressing an issue with a Facebook Marketplace purchase

I need advice on how to handle an issue with a Facebook Marketplace purchase.

I recently bought a specific plant from a local seller on Facebook Marketplace. The listing clearly described it as stated plant. I have screenshots of the original listing and our messages before purchase.

However, after receiving the item, a month later, once it started producing fruits, it appears to be different from what was advertised. Based on what I’ve seen, it may not match the description of the item sold.

Reached out to the seller for clarification and waiting for response.

My question is:

What is the proper way to handle this on Facebook Marketplace?
Can this be reported as “item not as described”?
I already left a positive review for the seller saying smooth transaction, good seller, and stuff like that 😭😭

I’m not trying to escalate unnecessarily — just want to understand the correct process and what others have done in similar situations.

I purchased a few plants from the seller and it cost under $15. It’s not about the money, but just the time and effort wasted. Now I’m not sure how the other plants will turn out as well.

Please advise.

UBER or park at Journal Square transportation center

We just arrived in Jersey City for the weekend and checked in at our hotel. We were told we can either take a 15-minute Uber ride to the PATH station or drive and park at the Journal Square Transportation Center for $15 per day. Since we have our car with us, we’re wondering: is it safe to park there, or would taking an Uber be the better option?

Track prior year 1120 s status

Can you track the status of prior year S Corp - 1120S filing status through irs.gov website? I know it can be done for individual accounts, but not sure about business accounts.

Please advise.

Charging error - No power

My Tesla charger stopped working since last night, and I’m currently getting the error mentioned above. I’m using the Mobile Connector with a NEMA 14-50 outlet. I used to get this error occasionally, and unplugging and plugging it back in would usually fix it, but that no longer works.

I switched to a 120V plug adapter and got the same error. I also tried a public charging station, and it charged fine there. So it seems like my Mobile Connector might be faulty? The adapter shows a solid green light says Tesla.

What are my options?

Apple Pay transaction not updated

Trying to use Apple Pay for the first time, added my credit card and made a transaction through my phone.
It showed as the payment processing, but I don’t see any updates after that on the billing website neither on my credit card app as transaction pending.

Is there a time delay to get the transaction updated on the mobile app? Normally, when you swipe the card at the terminal, it’s updated instantly and I am using Apple Pay for the first time. Not quite sure if there is something wrong with my setup.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is it too late to start investing in SCHD if you plan on retiring in another 10 years or so? Planning on investing 1K monthly. Already contributing to SPYM/QQQM at the same time, but this is just for some safety net income in case.

I had a flat tire almost a year ago, and Firestone declined to fix it, saying the puncture was at an angle and that it was risky to repair. They recommended that I get brand-new tires instead. I ended up plugging it myself and have since driven another 13,000 miles on it. This is my current tread wear, and it’s about time to replace the tires anyway. However, I’m curious why they declined to fix it in the first place. Is it really a risky area?

I’m shopping for new tires for my Tesla Model 3 RWD with 19” wheels. I’m considering the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+.

Firestone quoted me $240 per tire, which is $10 cheaper than the Tire Rack price. The total cost for installation—including disposal, balancing, and all fees—is $1,150. They are charging around $47 per tire for installation, disposal, and other fees.

Wheel alignment is an additional $143 if needed, bringing the total to $1,292, or about $323 per tire.

Is this a reasonable price?
