Somewhat new to reddit and trying to find the best Chicago subs to get information. Came across that sub and I have never been so mortified by people on reddit. Some of the most disgusting things said about minorities and homeless people. And very pro cop. Is that just... standard for that sub, an unspoken secret?

I got a reading and my spirit team made me realize something important

At times, I do hold myself to a standard of becoming a better human. Not partaking in alcohol as often, not using cannabis all day every single day. Taking care of my body and mind by working out, journaling and meditating. But I have realized that I often times hold back from truly indulging in things because I felt like I have not hit a goal in my life.

An example of this is if I don’t go to the gym for a few days, I don’t have any sweets despite me having a huge sweet tooth. Or if I didn’t accomplish my goals for the day, I hold off on eating dinner until I do so. A bigger example of this is me not speaking to someone I am dealing with because I have not accomplished the goals I have been working towards and manifesting. My spirit team was like girl, stop doing that. You are only doing a disservice to yourself by resisting the human urges you are feeling towards this person.

It feels weird, I never realized to quote them: “Spirit is saying you were not meant to complete some checklist before being “allowed” to reconnect... growth is ongoing. You didn’t cut contact to become perfect. You cut contact to become grounded.”

This is something that has seriously changed my perspective in the past few days. I hope someone else resonates with this.

We have been getting flooded with these posts from people looking for housing for internships. I want to do something to reduce the number of them by providing resources.

What are some resources you recommend? I was already in the midst of making a list of sublease facebook groups but other links to add would be much appreciated.

Someone asked a question here, and I replied, saying, and I quote, “AI has no space in spirituality.” I was then banned for “Gatekeeping”. Here is the official reasoning given:

One of the mods tried to argue with me and gave me this justification.

That iot has no place in someone's divination tools? Also gatekeeping and not allowed. People are allowed to duscuss and use pretty much ANY tool as long as it's related to divination. They read with pieces of circuit boards? That's fine. They use online tarot interps? Also fine. They receive messages from their spirits through YuGiOh TV shows? Yup, you guessed it, also fine.”

So my question to the people. Is AI a part of spirituality? Is this a bullshit ban? Is it gatekeeping by saying AI has no place in spiritual practices? Please let me know if this mod is justified or if I should just leave this alone and let the universe take care of it.
