One day only collab. And guys I am not going to lie, its alright. The bread actually brings it down. It’s almost too hard yet chew for a chicken sandwich. The giard was good, i got mine spicy. It was only $5 so I wasn’t too mad but it was a miss for me.

A reminder that Sinners is playing at Millennium Park for FREE on Tuesday

Last movie for their summer series, I and every other black person in Chicago will be there. Hopefully it doesn’t rain that day!!!

Little Victories in Wicker Park

I lowkey feel like they changed their lettuce because this wrap wasn’t as crunchy as it usually is. Still good tho, and still one of the best wraps in the city!

What to get from Wishbone?

Born and raised and I have never been! I want to change that before they close. What are some stand out dishes I should try? I heard to avoid the cornbread because they put pieces of corn in it now which is…..interesting.

Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles from Luella’s in Irving Park

I haven’t been in a while, their new location is cute. Same staff, same friendly crew. Food is still as good, cheaper than other black owned spots in the city. I wish I liked their mac n cheese tho🥲 Too soupy for my personal taste.

The Eddie Mac from Cleo’s in Lakeview

I would never order this again even tho it was very good. Just too messy of a sandwich lmao!

Friendly debate: Is Buena Park considered separate from Uptown?

Many people say Buena Park and Uptown are the same neighborhood, but others disagree. What is your take on this?

El Pulpo Loco in Rogers Park

Came in randomly because I wanted something new to try with friends. Amazing and very high quality food. Especially that steak, tons and tons of it in my burrito and thick pieces too!

Guac was good, it was a mix of chunky and smooth and well seasoned, just wished it had some jalapeños. Side note, anyone know a place I can get spicy guac in restaurant?

Also chicken taco sucked, but most chicken tacos in this city are pretty bad.

Looking for a place that will scratch the Nando’s itch but local to Chicago

Nando’s is not worth the money anymore and their sizing is disgusting. Want something local, South African inspired or anywhere that has peri chicken on the menu.

If you say Chicago has an alderperson problem and not a mayor problem in this sub, they will sacrifice you to the Lower Wacker Demons

Majority of our alderpeople suck and care more about lining their own pockets than helping the city.

Trish is a dumbass for thinking she can be a vigilante after being a very well known child star and podcaster

I am currently rewatching for the first time since it aired and I cant believe she thought this would be a good idea. Every time she stopping crime, she is being recognized 😭

Momo Factory in Lakeview

I always drive past this place or go to the chicken spot next door or Brazilian Bowl but never stopped to try this place out. And now that I know how good, I will always be back. The chili fried rice is insane, like honestly some of the best fried rice in the city. I got, what I think are veggie hakkan noodles? I am unsure, it was free and I didn’t question it. If you know what kind of noodles these are, please let me know!

The Breakfast House on Sheridan gave me french toast with mold in it

Posted in the second picture so I won’t jumpscare people who are sensitive to pics of mold.

I took a bite that had a even bigger piece and then I paused, spit it out, started inspecting the french toast and broke it down with my fork. I was frankly horrified and got a manager immediately. She remade the dish and comped it off my bill but I don’t really feel good about this. I think I am going to try to email or get in contact with the owner because if I end up getting sick from this tomorrow, I will be pissed.

Just a PSA for everyone to double check your food when going out. 🥲

Please do not report this show, the writers, the actors to the NAACP

I know people may have their issues, but do not waste the resources and time of an organization that actually helps people. Not because of your grievances with a show and how you may feel about writing decisions and how you believe the black actors are being treated.

Context: a fan reported to the NAACP in an attempt to get the show taken down due to the content of the last episode. Will post screenshots in the replies.

Be normal and do not waste these people's time with fandom bullshit. The NAACP is an actual organization that is helping black people in the United States against civil and legal injustices.

Dove’s Luncheonette in Wicker Park

Went during their weekend happy hour. Pretty cozy in there and the staff is very friendly. The burger was okay, I preferred the chicken sandwich more. Love loooove those animal style fries tho. In and Out could never with their limp ass undercooked fries lmao
