How common is this?
Maybe around 4 years ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed with only local anesthetic (I think lidocaine). Nothing that made me sleep and nothing that altered my mental state. I’ve never heard of this from anyone else, but it can’t be some crazy thing I don’t think. They were actually only able to get the bottom ones out before they had to stop as they had reached the limit of what was safe to give me, since they had to keep giving more when they were trying to get one of my tops ones out but it wouldn’t budge. The top ones have since grown in completely with no issues so I guess it doesn’t matter
TLDR: is it unusual for only local anesthetic to be used for wisdom teeth removal?

20 F I have had this pain since I was maybe 13-14
I have neurology appointment as a follow up for other stuff in August.
I could be wrong but I do believe it is a nerve, especially since I took a nerve pain medication at one point that made it go away completely for a month (then it stopped working) The origin point is high on my scalp on the left side, and it radiates to my eye creating a sort of tickley feeling. It does not affect my vision. Years ago when it started, it wasn’t even pain, but just a weird feeling completely isolated on that one spot on my scalp. It was difficult to convince doctors that it wasn’t my skin, but rather under it. Every year it has progressed.
I feel it more at night and more when I lie down, but the flare ups cause irregular pulses of pain lasting several minutes.
I also have epilepsy and I suspect I may have some form of RLS
With my epilepsy I’ve had two mris, but neither have shown anything related to this spot on my head. I take a medication for that which doesn’t seem to help the nerve pain.
