Paul skenes fastball is losing the its spin and velocity. Skenes only averaged 96 mph on his fastball tonight and the spin of it was in the toilet.
David pagnotta says that the flyers and penguins want the oilers to retain money on nurse before taking him on.
Making another posts. Here's several different analytical models comparing Wotherspoon to Korczak. Korczak is viewed as more valuable than Wotherspoon plus he's under control much longer.
People need to understand that dubas isn't trying to win now because this team isn’t a stanley cup contender no matter what moves he makes.
So trading wotherspoon for a young guy who's under contract for multiple seasons at a cheap rate makes sense for the longterm health of this team. Plus that young guy is a pretty solid player with some upside to his game and plays RD which is more valuable than LD.
Here's a compilation of the Phillies announcers talking crap and being salty about every single Pirates player last night including the pitching coach.

windowscentral.comBen cherington said that there's been 'bad luck' involved with how bad the bullpens been. Also said that skenes is healthy even though his velocity is down.
The usage of this man makes absolutely no sense considering the current state of the bullpen.
Can anyone explain what happened between Jared Jones and Endy Rodriguez? Seeing tweets saying Jones got in his face and was screaming?
I'm following along on my phone and couldn't watch the game on TV today.
Steelers Rookie Drew Allar Embracing Understudy Role Behind Aaron Rodgers. Phenomenal article folks.
Going to post some of the quotes not all of them cause it's a very long article and an excellent read.
"The West Coast offense in general was something I studied a lot in the offseasons at Penn State," Allar told me during a conversation this offseason at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. "Kind of the newer versions like the [Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean] McVay and [San Francisco 49ers head coach] Mike Shanahan. I was on that trend for the last four years.
"But it’s now kind of a full circle moment for me, going back and seeing how everything really started. Why the drops are a certain way and how they match up with the progressions. And where the concepts originated from. It’s really cool to be a part of that. It’s a lot of information, but it’s starting to slow down for me."
Allar said he’s privileged to share a quarterback room with the future Hall of Famer. "I’m really excited to learn from him," Allar told me. "With him being in Coach McCarthy’s system in Green Bay, it’s beneficial because he knows the system inside and out, even though he hasn’t played in it in five or six years at this point. And just everything he’s going through in his career, playing in tens of thousands of snaps, how much experience and knowledge he has — the nuances of playing the position of quarterback, reading coverages, the defensive tendencies — any little thing I can pick up to help me process faster and be more accurate, I’m all in for it."
"I believe in first impressions," McCarthy said about Allar in Pittsburgh’s post-draft press conference with reporters. I had a chance to not only watch him play but meet him at the combine. … I like everything about him. I think he’s got room for growth. He’s a young man that can throw the ball with the best of them, and that’s a great starting point to have."
For the past year, Allar’s worked with John Beck and 3DQB here in Southern California during the offseason to prepare him for the league. Beck also worked with another former McCarthy quarterback in Dak Prescott. Allar said Beck helped to improve his footwork, getting him in better throwing positions.
"It’s really just taking it a day at a time," Allar told me. "They do a great job of building it out throughout practice with the quarterback in individual drills. They do a great job of emphasizing things throughout each day, just so I can get that foundation, because the footwork is a little different than what I’m used to.
"We were under center a little bit at Penn State, but not in the drop-back game. It was more run game and play-action game. So, just getting cleaner with under-center drops and drop-back footwork. And just really trying to pick up on the nuances of it. Just some different teaching, and it’s really cool to be a part of that. And kind of have another chapter to learn from and grow from. I already feel a lot more comfortable in it, and I know I’ve just got to keep my head down and keep working at it."

The Joey Porter Jr situation is a mess right now because of his agent. David Mulugheta is the same agent that caused all the drama in Dallas and got Micah Parsons traded.
This is the same agent that was so aggressive and hard to work with that Tee Higgins dropped him as an agent so he could get a contract done in Cincinnati. This guy is trying to squeeze every last drop of money out of the negotiating process for Joey Porter Jr and it's why a deal isn't done in my opinion.
Joey Porter Jr is a good CB but he's probably not worth what he's asking for tbh. He has 0 All-pros to his name, 0 pro bowls, doesn't create a ton of turnovers, doesn't have alot of INT's and still needs to prove that his penalty problems are behind him. I feel like the extension would already be done if Joey and his agent were being more reasonable and were willing to compromise more.
There's no excuse to have a bad offense this year considering the massive upgrade in the WR room.
Last year we were rolling with Calvin Austin as our number 2 WR, until we picked up the corpse of Adam Thielen, and mega bum MVS. Going from Calvin Austin as the number 2 to Pittman is such a gigantic upgrade that it isn't even funny tbh. Pittman is much bigger, much stronger, and much more capable of locking down the WR2 spot on this team.
Add in our presumed WR3 being our rookie Bernard over the numerous bums we used in that spot last season 'jonnu smith cough cough' and our WR room is in a WAYYYYYYYYYYYY better spot this season than last season. Plus with McCarthy running a much more modern and less risk adverse offense 'middle of the field throws yayyy' we should see a big jump in terms of being able to score this season.

Kevin colbert defends drafting Kenny Pickett and says he was trending in the right direction with the steelers.
"We projected Kenny to be a start-and-win NFL quarterback, and quite honestly, he lived up to that in his first two seasons with us," Colbert said. "For us, he was 14-10 and trending in the right direction. So that's what we thought we had in Kenny.
"Kenny's a great young man. He's a great competitor... And I still think at a young age, I still think Kenny can continue to build on what he did with us in those first two seasons."
Kenny pickett in his first two seasons with the steelers btw was complete and utter trash. Here's his statline combined for those 2 seasons.
24 GS
62.6 Cmp%
4,474 yds
6.3 Y/A
179 Y/G
78.8 Passer Rating
13 td's
13 int
Kenny pickett had tiny hands which caused accuracy issues, arm strength issues, and issues where he'd try throwing the ball and the ball would come out wobbly or weird cause he can't grip it good enough especially in bad weather. He was a checkdown machine who would spin into sacks, and who had issues seeing the entire field and progressing to the right read. I have no idea what Colbert is talking about here.
[Mark Spector] Re: Connor Murphy, and EDM, there are ongoing discussions and the new coach hire is not the primary factor for Murphy, we are told. Bowman has been quietly working the market beneath all the coaching/Nurse drama. Let’s see what pans out.
Sounds like if Nurse is traded then Murphy might want more money because he'd be more important to the oilers then.
