Long term investment strategy

I'm Currently 22 years old and am Investing £700 per month into S&P 500 via a Vanguard stocks and shares Isa. I've been investing for the last 2 years and I increase my monthly amount each time I increase my personal takings from my business. I also invest lump sum dividends in every so often.

I'm looking at this as a safety net and/or a nice pot of money to help family and friends one day.

My question is, given I probably won't touch the money for 30+ years, should I stay in S&P or move to all world?

How much to invest when Young?

Hi all, background on me: I’m currently 22 years old, live at home, own 2 business that provide me income. A barbershop and a marketing agency. I have £23K personal liquid.

The agency is in major growth mode with hiring staff etc so I don’t take huge money personally but my outgoings are also so low.

I take £2,300 net per month. I invest £600 total per month. 375 into SMP500. 125 into emerging markets. 50 ETH and BTC. The rest of my outgoings is £400 per month which leaves me with circa £1300 disposable per month.

My question is, what else can I be doing with my money? Should I be investing more? Investing in anything else?

Thanks

Finance accepted then declined

3 weeks ago I ordered a M3 on a BCH. I applied for finance with Lex and got accepted straight away.

Yesterday I saw one in the current inventory that I wanted to switch to. I called Tesla and they switched it for me. I then applied for finance again on the new car and it got declined.

Has anyone had this, why should I do?

I’m in the UK

Next Watch

Hi all,

I bought my first Rolex in February 2022 from an AD. It's a Datejust 36, Jubilee, Fluted, black diamond dot dial.

For Context:

I was 18 at the time and I bought it with money made from Ethereum through Covid times. 6 months later I opened my first business. It was a barbershop that I became an investor/business partner in. Since then I have become a co owner of another service provider business.

I'm now 22. The barbershop gives me a nice monthly return with very minimal time spent on it (<2 hours per month). Our agency is in high growth mode (gone from a team of 2-10 within a year).

My living costs are so low. I live at home as it feels pointless to move out with my office being 10 mins away and I don't have a partner. My car is through the business. I invest monthly quite heavily into Vanguard funds.

Decision:

I'm toying with the idea of selling my Datejust and getting something else. In particular, a GMT or Daytona. I really like the 40mm size**.**

It doesn't feel a stupid financial decision as i can get 7-8K back for mine which means its a 3-4K difference which isn't a huge amount. Please let me know if you think otherwise.

My question is do you think I'll regret the decision of selling my first watch? I don't want 2 watches as I only wear a watch on weekends and holidays.

Does a good runner make a good coach?

Hi all,

Currently in the process of finding my first running coach. One I've found and been referred to is an ex common welath games marathon runner and has a huge story about being with the kenyans months at a time and training with Paula radcliffe etc.

They're alot older and retired now and offer coaching. my question is, does all this make them a good coach or is there alot more to it?

Hi all,

Over my peak weeks of London marathon block I developed a hamstring problem which has now been diagnosed as Distal Hamstring Tendinopathy. I have been given specific excerises to load it and told to stay off running for a few weeks to let it settle. Given the position right behind my knee, cycling also aggravates it. For this, I've decided to take up swimming to try and maintain my aerobic base as much as possible.

Does anyone have any experience with recovering from this? Any tips or timelines are appreciated. I don't think its a really bad case as its never stopped me running just aches and feels uncomfortable mainly after.

Yesterday I ordered a Model 3 on an extremely good BCH deal. Base model the only extra being black paint.

It says estimated delivery August-September. I remember checking a couple of weeks ago and it was May/june.

How accurate is this? Does it ever get pulled forward?
