Mediterranean wall gecko - how to catch

Hello!

I had a Mediterranean wall gecko come into my kitchen. We tried to shoo it away outside but it went behind the fridge and kitchen counters instead.

Any tips on how to lure and catch it so we can release it outside?

We have cats and are concerned about their safety, my husband had a childhood cat that passed away from eating one.

Alternative path tips

Hi all!

I've been wanting to do the Camino for a while now, particularly the Fisterra and the more ancient ones connected to the Celts and templars.

Do you have any tips on where to start from? I'm based in the south of Portugal.

My health is also not the best so I was thinking of doing it by motorbike, has anyone ever done it?

Can someone help me identify the symbols in this pendant?

Does someone know what this is and the meaning of it?

I got it when I was like 12 at a fair and it's been away but suddenly felt drawn to it again.

Booked the flight!

Partially thanks to reading your experiences and advice I just did step 1 which is booking the flight.

It's something I've been putting off and making excuses to avoid.

So thank you ⭐

I have 2 months this to prepare for the flight now.

Traveling on tamoxifen

Hi everyone.

I'm 33 and had triple positive BC last year, finishing targeted therapy and doing Zoladex and Tamoxifen for a couple of years.

I'd like to visit some friends and family but that means a 3 hour plane flight. Am a bit scared because of Tamoxifen's side effects and risk of clots etc.

I am a nervous flier but not sure if I can take anything to calm myself.

I have an appointment with my oncologist next month but would be good to have some pointers already.

Fuel shortages

Hi all!

I heard on the news that, in Europe, because of fuel shortages, airlines will be exempted from the 90% fuel rule.

What are the implications and should I be scared?

Home exchange

Hallo!

I am Portuguese and me and my husband are thinking about moving to The Netherlands.

We own our house in "the Algarve" and just wondering if there are any platforms to do an exchange of properties, as in, if someone from there wanted to live in Portugal, we could swap homes instead of selling/buying process.

Extreme flight fear

Hi guys!

I have a very intense fear of flying, and it has gotten worse over the year and each time I have gone on a flight.

There is always something minor that upsets me, like the feeling the plane is "stopping" while we're at takeoff or midair, feeling it was dropping midair, rough landings, weird noises and "smoke" (condensation).

I know the logic of how it's the safest place you can be, but I'm always scared it will be "the one" flight where things go wrong (like a bird makes it crash, multiple engine failure, a wing is damaged, some important scientists or politician is there that someone wants to off, a pilot wants to give up on life or feels sick). It's the almost certain 💀 in case something goes wrong that's gets me, I know there are more car crashes but the chance of survival is higher. I also always think of how much of a panic feeling it must be to know you're crashing into your doom, when I see news of those disasters.

But I had breast cancer last year which I fought against and don't want this fear to get in the way of enjoying life, visiting friends and family etc.

What can I do to get over it? I tried exposure, breathing techniques, distractions etc but it doesn't really seem to have worked.
