Am I wrong?

Am I wrong?

So I’ve had dysport three times now. The last two times I’ve had probably maybe 30 units total in my forehead, my 11s, and a few spots to help with my jowls.

This time around I went to a new practitioner. She put 45(!) unit in my forehead and I just had to go back, at the two week Mark, and she put another 28 in there. she did not do my 11s any longer. She did not do any crows feet. She do not do anywhere else.

She told me “I just realized that your muscles must be really strong and that you need all this“.

I called BS. I haven’t had problems before this, I mean, a small touchup here in there, but 75 units of tox sounds excessive to me only on an upper forehead and 11s.

Am I wrong in thinking so?

It was done on Thursday and this is what my face looks like right now.
To be honest, I don’t actually see any difference yet than when I went in there on Thursday.

I just feel… Like something off.

Could her concentration be lower? Could she just be unskilled?

I don’t really wanna go back to her, but I would like to provide some constructive criticism. Well also, I’m concerned that I’ve had this much just to my upper face.

What would you do?

So this is a hypothetical situation, but I’m just curious to hear responses.

You have an interview on Zoom on Monday at 10 AM. Over the weekend, you went out with your friends for dinner and drinks.

While you were out, there was a woman in the bathroom getting violently ill. You helped her. You know, holding her head, giving her tissues after she threw up everywhere, etc. etc. You know, like other women would do.

When you get to the zoom interview on Monday? The woman who helped is the hiring manager.

You are absolutely 100% sure she doesn’t remember a thing about what happened because she was that messed up.

Would you bring it up? What did she said you looked familiar to her? Would you tell her?

And if you told her, do you think that would help or hinder your chances of getting the job?

That Ferris dude. Friends w Jojos world

Like what’s his story? He’s in a lot more videos now at odd times of the day. Is he also an influencer? He seems chill. But their relationship as friends seems a little weird. Just a weird way. Not a bad way.

What are other people‘s thoughts?

Before we start attacking Jojo, we love him here. He can literally do no wrong, so remember that. Hahaa

I got advice today that’s humorous

So I met with somebody today. One of those people who will help you “redo your résumé“ but I wanted to hear what she had to say because she told me originally she wasn’t selling anything. And that she wasn’t going to try to sell me her services. OK…

So I meet with her by phone. We talk about my “application to interview ratio“ to which I tell her 170+ applications and only one interview.

She then proceeds to tell me this:

“I looked at your LinkedIn profile. It’s really good. However, I noticed your picture is on there. Have you given any thought to coloring your hair so you didn’t show is having gray hair and being older”

What the actual f@ck is that?

I actually told her that I would not change who I was just for a job.

Yeah, I have gray hair. I’m over 60. And my job information on LinkedIn and my résumé. Would Cleary show that I am not a 20 year-old or even a 30-year-old.

But telling me that I should dye my hair brown or blonde so I didn’t look as old as I do?

Not OK.

I wonder if she would’ve said the same thing if it was a man who had gray hair?

Therapists: Zepbound and mental health

Please answer if you are a practicing therapist or psychiatrist. Have you seen this?

Psychiatrist believes that Zepbound is causing some of hubbys mental health issues.

I called BS as they started way before he started the medication.

She has told us “all my patients on Zepbound have the same issues. They are all experiencing anxiety issues“. She then proceeded to tell us that there are 14 patients she has that are experiencing this.

I called BS on this as well.
I know with Ozempic/Wegovy, depression and anxiety can be possible side effects, but they don’t really mention that for Zepbound.

The psychiatrist keeps trying to tell us to speak with his prescribing clinician to “take him off the Zepbound because he looks great”

Mind you, he is still considered morbidly obese. Has gained 30 pounds back and starting his newest mental health medication, and needs to stay on the Zepbound for other medical issues that are under control with using the medication.

Zepbound prescribing clinician does not want to remove him off the medication.

Have you seen this with your patients?

Email addresses

Is it really that important to use a Gmail address for your job application applications? I mean, I don’t have an AOL address but I do have a an address that is through my Internet provider.
Does that really date me as older?

Do you actually think you’ve had trauma you didn’t know about?

So, I’ve been watching Law and order SVU. Like, a lot. Hours a day.
One of the most recent episode episodes show showed Olivia using EMDR therapy. I don’t know if it was accurate on how the person was pertaining the EMDR therapist, but what she was doing in the session in the episode, maybe unbelievably uncomfortable and edgy. I thought it was weird that I had that kind of response.

My former therapist didn’t think that was an issue and actually laughed about the fact that she loved the show too.

I feel like for some reason I may be watching traumatic situations because I need to myself to feel better that they are things that happened to other people as well.

As far as I am aware, I have not had any traumatic experiences or SA or anything like that as a child or young adult that I don’t already remember.
(yes I was SA in college. But I know that remember it and it wasn’t as traumatic as it sounds as I wasn’t r&@ped)

Has anybody else here found out they had a traumatic situation happened to them that they had no idea had happened or had just pushed so far out of their mind that when it was brought to light, they thought it was crazy?

For context:

I have PTSD and severe anxiety from the PTSD as well as OCD. As far as I remember, I had an upbringing that was much like the clever household. I don’t ever remember real trauma or anything happening as a child.

Just trying to get to the bottom of why so I can start to heal

Still not paid out for my sales

I sell on Facebook marketplace I have three listings for April and May that I’ve still not been paid out on. I’ve been paid on our sales before that and after that but for some reason, these three sales are still outstanding. Not a lot of money. But about $60.
I’ve reached out to Facebook like they tell you to. They all have the shipping via Facebook marketplace so the USPS tracking numbers were included like they required to be able to do payouts.

My PayPal information is listed so there is a place for them to deposit the funds. Yet they still haven’t.

I have heard back from Facebook saying it would be resolved in 2 to 3 days. Mind you, not the 48 hours that they mentioned that they would respond, but it has taken almost a month for them to respond from Facebook.

The funds have not been resolved. I still don’t have my money. When I go to Facebook marketplace or to respond back on the emails I was sent, nothing happens.

Any other suggestions on Waze I can reach out to Facebook? Customer support seems to be nonexistent.

Is there such a thing as a therapist who would specialize in TBI survivors issues?

Hubby has a traumatic brain injury and is a stroke survivor. His current therapist is nice and he’s been seeing her for a while now, but she consistently “forgets“ that he has a brain injury. She asked him to do things that somebody with his disability can’t complete.

Example: a while back she suggested him that he goes and gets a volunteer or part-time job. Neither of which he is capable of doing. He has been disabled and is on disability for life and his doctors have told him he can never work again due to his TBI, yet she makes suggestions all the time to try to get him out of the house”. It’s driving him insane. It’s driving me insane and she continues to try to push the issue of him doing things like a Normie.
(and before anybody comes at me using the term, Normie, that’s what he uses)
So… Is it possible to find therapist that specialize in TBI and stroke surviving therapy? I’d be able to find one or even know where to look. I’m in Massachusetts. And please don’t ask me to contact the insurance company cause they had no idea how to find one other than call the local Therapist until you find somebody who works for you. And that’s not what I’m looking for.

Am I doing this right?

So I’ve been in therapy for well over 20 years. Often on.

I find what it usually gets to be is me just talking about what’s going on in my life and somebody giving me feedback.

Is that what therapy is to you?

I end up feeling like I’m talking to a friend. I haven’t chatted in a while with and they’re just giving me their feedback.

I feel like therapy needs to be something more? Am I missing something?

People in therapy for a long time or Therapist, how do you “do it“?

What am I supposed to ask for questions. What am I supposed to think that I wanna get out of it?

For context. I have very bad PTSD generalized anxiety disorder that is fairly debilitating at times, and OCD. I’d like all that shit to go away.

Zyprexa and Zepbound

Hubby is on Zyprexa and Zepbound. Just upped his Zepbound medication to the next higher dose because he’s gaining weight. Consistently. He is on a low-dose of 2.5 Zyprexa.

MH Doctor doesn’t feel there’s any issue here because “he could still be at the weight he’s at cause he looks good“ but PCP feels he still needs to lose the weight because he is morbidly obese. For context to 6 feet tall starting weight was 272 and he’s down at 227.

Doctors and med clinicians, what would you do in this case? Zyprexa is the only medication in the last five years that has kept him at the even keel and he’s now been on it since February.
We are basically looking for advice on how to talk to his mental health. Clinician about this. We really don’t want him to come off a mood stabilizer medication, but this one seems like it’s working, but the weight gain is a huge issue for him.

He has literally been on every mental health medication out there that you can imagine for mood stability lol.

Seroquel is too much for him. Gives him incredible weight gain, and makes him too sleepy to function, even on the lowest dose.

The weight gain component is killing him as he worked so hard the past year and a half to lose 70 pounds and now he’s gained 30 back.

docs-What would you do in this case?

How would you handle a situation where there is a healthcare proxy for an individual via the PCP due to a brain injury that occurred years ago. PCP honors the healthcare proxy and TBI. Patient does not want the healthcare proxy to end. The patient is a 55-year-old male who sustained the TBI in 2019 and a subsequent stroke three months after the TBI.

Mental health clinician doesn’t feel that the healthcare proxy needs to “remain” but also feels that the TBI patient can be more “autonomous” with their healthcare, but patient doesn’t even understand day of the week some days nor any medications they take.

I have tried to explain explain to mental health prescriber that the TBI patient “masks “ quite well and although they are high functioning, still getting basic communications and comprehension messed up.
How do we get the mental health Clinician to truly understand the patient has much more brain injury than they appear?

Moving to Florida, over 60, from Massachusetts

We are going to be over 60 when we finally decide to make the move. We think.

I would like the good bad and the ugly from people who have moved from Massachusetts. Are extremely liberal, and what area you move to.

What did you find was frustrating? Did you find people who were “like you”?

How easy was it to make friends?
Is the healthcare good where you are?

We’ve wanted to move for probably about 10 years now, but I’m just afraid to make the move because we have complex medical needs, and do not subscribe to the fact that Florida is a red state and somewhat anti-LGBTQIA.

We accept all.
