Memories

Question,

Can you still get the Earthbound Immortal Desk? I've been waiting to get them for a while, I mean that and a duel disk too lol, but that's for another time.

Trip

So I’m going to DC for a medical conference, but I was also looking for places that I should go to while I’m there. Any suggestions or recommendations 😄?

Roundups

Question: What do y’all have y’all round-ups set to? Just curious, I was thinking about switching to the gold membership because I wanted to explore some more finance things with it, and I thought about my roundup and was trying to figure out what’s a good number to set it at.

Dating In Education

Hi everyone, happy Pride month!

I had a question, so I’m in a doctorate program to become a pharmacist, right, and I’m noticing, though I already knew. Still, I’m noticing that at this level of education, there aren't really a lot of black people, and honestly, I don’t really know what to do, at least in the south where I’m at.

Like, yes, don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of black queer men at my educational level; however, most of them tend not to date other black queer men, which is extremely unfortunate because we all know that medicine, regardless of what aspect of medicine you go into, is still racism very much alive, well, and relevant.

The issue that I’m having is that a lot of men that I encounter feel intimidated or slighted by me, or they’ll try to use sex as a tool of manipulation, or even money, because I’ve had men try to use money as a tool of manipulation. For example, one dude was saying, “Oh, I could buy you XYZ.” Blah blah blah, and I’m like, oh, okay, that’s nice like I was trying not to came off like it really didn’t mean anything to me because It didn’t, and the money that he was trying to spend was the cost of one of my Prada purses, so for me, it was just kind of like, yeah I got money too whatever. You have that money, I do too. But it put a sour taste in my mouth for him, and I also started noticing that kind of pattern in various black men as well, of course, yes, not all, but a lot of them. Meaning, if they can’t get you one way, they’ll try another way.

Or we will have some that would say that I’m arrogant because I feel like I know everything, or I’m too high maintenance, whatever the fuck that means. I’m just so confused and also turned off as well, because I’m someone who believes in building black equity, black money, black power. Still, I’m noticing that a lot of black queer men have different views on a lot of things, especially when it comes to dating someone who is, I guess, you could say, about themselves or strong in themselves, if that makes sense. Basically, just saying that I know through the power of education or higher levels of education, you can do a lot, and language as well.

I’m just confused, and I don’t really know what to do. How do y’all navigate dating in education, or not really in education, just in general, when it comes to dating in the community, especially when it comes to black men? I know my black women in the community have the same issue when it comes to lesbian relationships.

Protein Challeneges

Hi everyone, hope everyone’s doing OK.

I have a question, so I’m trying to get back down to my original weight, which was 220 pounds, and I’m working out fine, doing weights, and managed to run a mile with a 13.33 pace and 13 minutes, which I was very proud of myself for, because I’ve actually never run a full, consistent mile.

But the issue I’m having is that I’m not getting enough protein. I’m trying to figure out where and how I can get more protein in. From what I calculated, it looks like I need roughly 215-230 g of protein per day, which I can normally get, or at least I try to. Gideon.

Normally, I have some coffee in the morning, of course, black, or if I do have creamer with it, then that’ll be kind of like my meal for the morning, and then I do do protein shakes. I do the Premier protein shakes. I’m also trying some different protein bars because the ones I was using originally were basically nothing but sugar. I didn’t know that until after the fact. Originally, I was using the factory Mail app, but sometimes I’m not able to open the app and select what I want. I don’t eat red meat, so it’s a bit hard to kind of gauge that in the app, and when I do forget to go in and change that week's meal up, that’s money that’s lost because I don’t eat red meat because he doesn’t see it properly on my stomach, and it makes me feel nauseous and sick.

So I’m trying to come up with more ways of getting in a decent amount of protein, and because, as I said, working out is not the problem, it's just more so for me, eating correctly, because I’ll go through a whole pack of Oreos within one sitting. Oreos are my weakness, and that’s the only thing that I would eat that sweet. Because Oreo's are life. 😌😂

Need a bit more understanding and A Little Advise

Hi everyone :D

I hope everyone is doing okay! I don't know if this is something I should post here or not, but. I have a main question: Should I keep both my Acorns and Stash accounts, or would it be better to close one and keep the other? If so, which one would you guys recommend I keep? I'm also thinking of doing more with my investment portfolio overall. changing some stuff up, investing in more dividend stocks and related assets, and more long-term stocks and ETFs.

I'm currently in pharmacy school and looking to ease back into investing.

Do you think doing something with Fidelity is a good idea?

Sorry if my thoughts are a bit scattered!

Chaotic World Cup

I can’t wait for the revival of this game! 😤

I feel like they should’ve been using AI on this so we can play it in real life and have the Chaotic World Cup.

I feel like that would heal the nation. A good healthily competitive game.

So I have a question

I applied for a job a while ago, at the early part of this year, right? Okay, cool. It’s in the field that I’m interested in, which is psychiatric care, and working in the hospital, because I’ve worked in retail since 2018, and I’m very tired of that. So I said that, going into pharmacy school, I was going to change my outlook on pharmacy and start working in the areas that interested me. Of course, compounding is not in that interest, but I love people who like compounding. I love that for them. It’s just not for me.

I’m more clinically oriented, so I wanted to work in a hospital to see if that’s something I wanna continue to pursue and progress, especially in psychiatric care.

Well, the manager told me it would take a while to get hired because they would have to wait on the higher-ups. However, here’s the problem I’m having: I interviewed for the position at the early part of the year, and it is now almost the middle of the year. The manager has been nice and has kept me updated on post frequencies and other details, letting me know. Hey, this is where we are with the updates and related items.

Well, unfortunately, I have grown people bills. Yes, my parents (my grandmother and mother) are helping me. Still, we have grown people's bills that require grown people's money, and I’m trying not to abandon this dream right here and jump ship to somewhere else and essentially screw myself over because I was being impatient and didn’t wanna wait. I am also getting impatient.

So at this point, I’m trying to figure out what I should do. Any advise?

Hey y’all,

So I did my first-ever trial on my tank, and I will say I am quite proud of myself. I did it very well on my warden tank. However, I was looking at my gear set. Normally, when I do trials, I am a healer, and I typically have sets that give a lot of group buffs. I’m starting to like tanking in trials, but I’m stuck on which side I should use.

Is the heavy set from cloudrest better or the set from SunSpire better?
