Grain Mill Attachment

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had used the grain mill attachment and if so, is it worthwhile? I’m contemplating if I need to get an Ank and a separate mill or if the attachment would suffice. If not, is there a grain mill you’d recommend purchasing instead?
Thank you!

Pitcher or Bottles

Do you use the pitcher method or do you prefer to make up each bottle individually?
I’m curious to see what everyone else does. I’m having a hard time deciding myself personally 😅

Is Your Baby on a Schedule?

I’m new to formula and was wondering how everyone went about it. With my first he was primarily bottle fed but was more or less on a schedule. I was not sure if most formula fed babies are also on a schedule or a semi regular schedule with their bottles.

I’m trying to do research on the subject so I’m knowledgeable and can hopefully know what I’m doing before I start. I know I can’t know everything but I’d like to see where everyone begins and how baby transitions once they start solids as well.

Thank you so much!

Favorites

Two questions I have for the fellow Stanley lovers.

  1. What is your favorite limited edition tumbler? Was it worth it?
  2. What do you drink the most of in your tumbler? Water? Coffee? Soda?

Curious to see what everyone uses their Stanleys for and which ones are your favorites 🩷

Analysis Paralysis- Need Help

Mention of nursing and breastfeeding

To make a long story short, after much struggle I finally have been able to breastfeed my baby. That being said, it has been difficult and I am contemplating whether I should wean early or not. Baby is doing well, currently feeding some solids and doing combo feeding so I can have a little time for myself at night. So I know baby does okay with formula.
It’s been suggested by my physician to wean early to allow myself time to focus on my weight loss and potentially allow myself the option of medication if necessary. Couple that with an unexpected death in my close family and just being stressed out of my mind, I am not sure what to do. I have some milk frozen but not enough to last until baby turns one.

Has anyone gone from breastfeeding to formula? Any tips? Anyone else in a similar situation with weight loss? I’m at a loss on what to do. The feeling of guilt is overwhelming.

32oz Bottle Boots

Hi! So I wanted to double check before I purchased anything. Are the mini/scalloped boots the only ones on the Etch and Ember site that fit 32oz Owalas?

Boo-Ya Yay or Nay?

I am really on the fence about this bottle. I love ghosts. I love Halloween. I love fall. But I also don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a bottle, and I already have a bottle I really like using.

So my question is, would you recommend this bottle? Why or why not? And anyone who has one, would you mind sharing photos?

TIA!

Health Issues and Weaning

One of my doctors recently recommended I wean due to health (weight) issues and I’m not sure how I feel about it all. On the one hand I want to be able to focus on my health and get everything in order and be happier and healthier so I can be better able to take care of myself and my family. But on the other hand I feel guilty for not making it to a year and needing to convert fully to formula makes me feel like a failure.

I guess I just need to hear some success stories or some advice from someone who’s gone through this too.

TIA

NFP

I am lost. I was told about this in OCIA but no one gave any more information than that NFP is the only way approved by the church to plan a family. I was not given any information on courses, who to reach out to, when to start, nothing.

Now I’m confused and dealing with a lack of support postpartum and worried about the future. I don’t know what devices people use, how people even handle this, nothing.

Basically I need help. I would love someone to point out some basics for me and help guide me in the right direction. Unfortunately everything I’ve seen is so conflicting and these monitors that may or may not work are so expensive; it makes me feel at a loss.

I’m sorry if this is vague or not intended for this subreddit or anything like that. I just would love some help so my husband and I can don’t have to struggle through this alone.

Seeking Community

Hi,
I am currently trying to lose weight but don’t have a great support group around me. I would love to be able to find a community to help keep me accountable, cheer me on, and help when I struggle. It doesn’t have to be in person.
I’m just confused on where to look or how to start trying to find new friends to join me on my journey. They don’t have to be losing weight too, but it wouldn’t hurt if they understood what I’m currently doing (I hope that makes sense).

The past few months for me have been rough and I don’t have enough of a support system currently to help me.

Thank you for any help.

Canning Schedules

Hiya!
I’ve been canning for a few years now and while we typically follow a general flow in our canning routine for the year, I’ve always been curious about how others do it. Do you have specific times of the year you do more canning? Which times do you can the most? The least?

I’m just curious and thought we could have a discussion about what everyone else does!

For me personally I can in the summer when fruit and vegetables are freshest, but we don’t have a garden yet so I get them at the market. I also sometimes can things like sauce and tomato products, sometimes meats, in the fall and winter when it’s colder outside. I also tend to do full on canning days, where the majority of the day is spent canning and the day before is prep and set up.

Regionality and Consoles

Hi!

I’m currently wondering if getting a different region 3DS would be worthwhile for me.

For context, I’m in the states, and the specific console I was looking into is a Japanese exclusive 3DS LL. I am new to this so I don’t know the exact details of what I need to know or be wary of if I got the console.

Would it play all of my US games? Do I need to make specific adjustments or anything? Do I have to worry about changing the region or features not working because it’s not a US model?

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Current 3DS Prices

Hi! I’m currently on the lookout for a specific 3DS model, however, I’m finding it extremely difficult to gauge what a reasonable price would be for the console.

When looking at and referencing price charting’s website, I find the average price to be a lot higher than what I anticipated ($300+). Is that a normal going rate for the average new 3DS XL nowadays or am I missing something?

I know Nintendo holds value but this seems even more expensive than what I paid for my console new years ago, so I’m a bit confused on what to do.

Bottle Indecisiveness

Hi again!

I want to gift my MIL a green bottle for her birthday next week. She loves deep dark green. Think like pine trees.

So I’m thinking of either the Elphaba bottle or the Jade colors for her.

I think both greens would fit her style and taste, it’s just a matter of which is a nicer green.

Any suggestions would be great!
TIA!

Boot Type

Hiya! I’ve been contemplating getting a different style boot for my Glinda Owala. I’m just not sure which style to get. I currently have a bright pink Owala brand boot, but it covers up a lot of the pretty design and isn’t the same color pink as the bottle. I was contemplating getting a clear boot (like from Etch and Ember) but they only have the shortie boots in stock.

So my biggest question is about protection. Do you have a shortie boot? And if so, how well does it protect the bottle? Do you feel it provides adequate protection?

Should I just wait for the larger clear boots to come back in stock?

I know the bottle will eventually fall or get dropped or have a mishap, and I’d like to try to protect it as much as possible without going too overboard. I know it’ll dent and scratch eventually, I just want to delay that as long as possible 😅

TIA!

Glinda Bottle Lid

Hi! I just got a Glinda bottle and want to buy a cute replacement/backup lid just in case something happens to the original one.

Do you have any suggestions on what would go well with it?

I can add pictures if needed, but the bottle is light pink with an iridescent shimmer.

TIA!

Hi! Unfortunately my childhood original DS has a broken hinge. I’m not sure how it happened and I’m not sure how to go about fixing it.

Is fixing it possible? If so, how would you recommend to.

If I can’t fix it, how hard is a shell swap? I’ve only swapped the shell on a GBA SP before, so I’m not sure how much more complicated a shell swap for this could be.

I’d love to save the original shell if I can, but I understand that that may not be possible.

Thanks in advance for the help.
