Anyone coming to the Hyderabad meet event today?

Is the venue Ebony botique hotel? Also any information of what usually happens inside? And whether one needs to stay from 4:30 to 7:30 or if it's just a QnA event where you ask questions and get answered? And for socializing?

Can you get Merit scholarships from 2nd year based on your GPA?

I didn't get a merit scholarship and rather got a 25% financial aid tuition waiver but I'm wondering if merit based scholarships are only awarded before joining or if you perform well in your yearly sem exams, would you get a merit scholarship for the following year?

Also another question, does the administration try to get rid of fin-aid for existing students or there's nothing like that?

Can I appeal a fin-aid decision?

I recently got my fin-aid decision and it was a 25% waiver on tuition. The fee after aid per sem is 4,28,500 and would multiplying it for 4 years is going to be 34-35 lakhs in total. I'm not even accounting for inflation and hikes..

Is Plaksha worth this much? I don't think I have better unis as options right now. My fam's ITR is in between 40-50L, which is why I didn't get more aid I guess, but after tax, loans, expenses and my sibling's tuition, it's still not enough disposable income to cover Plaksha's fee. Unless I take a partial loan on tuition and I really don't wanna be a burden on my parents either.

One vague goal of mine is to secure a direct PhD after my undergrad using my UG for profile building, research and projects from Year1 and I think it's the only way to justify the ROI.

How to protect your payments you receive on this sub from being blocked by cybercrime/bank/lien? [Misc. Post]

[NOT A GIVEAWAY, Using flair for MISC purposes]

These days, I see so many people across various bank accounts complaining about their account being blocked, money being held due to cybercrime complaints or suspicious transactions.

Moreso some say taking peer2peer transactions in your savings accounts is also against bank terms, thankfully ive sold and bought GCs on this sub over 20k now, but haven't faced any scam/bank blocks. But it still makes me afraid taking in payments from strangers because no-one knows the source of their funds.

E-rupee seems better but rarely anyone uses it here over UPI. Im considering using a UPI wallet or secondary online bank like Airtel payments Bank to take in from now, or maybe create a checking account for these purposes. How do experienced traders in this sub avoid this?
