What's in my bag? (Extended edition)

More complete version of what I posted in the tech sub!

Left to right, top to bottom:

* Wallet

* Dice bag

* GKD Pixel 2 retro handheld (best purchase of this year by far)

* currently unused (surprisingly) sticky notes pad

* Beat up permanent marker that somehow still has pigment in it

* Pure Candy pen (nothing fancy)

* filgo black liner

* Victorinox Explorer - no, I don't know what the little hook is for either

* Moto G54 (not pictured: custom case I may replace soon, generic dust plug)

* Sketchbook! Should really swap it out for my main one sometime.

*Carry-on game (I cycle this and some other small board games I can fit in my bag! the pixel 2 is for no boring waits, the game is for no boring waits ✨ with friends ✨)

* ugreen 10000mah power bank (that I should really sticker sometime so it clashes less with my daily carry tech)

* ... and matching Uno cable (it has a lil kaomoji when I plug it in!)

Not pictured:

* Mi Band 10 with a replacement strap (forgot to put it here, this picture was taken before the one on the tech sub!)

* very unaesthetic painkillers I don't have a dedicated container for

* generic itabag all of this lives in

* and a separate container within it, for the writing implements. (I've broken so many cheap pens, never again)

In the market for:

* Replacement wallet - Bought the one I have a very long time ago 'cause I thought it was cool, but these days I have too many things fighting for my bag space and want something pocketable so I can sometimes go out w just PWK and start running again.

* Replacement dice bag? Maybe? I feel like the medieval fantasy aesthetic is false advertising when the content is 90% d10s and d6s.

* I'd like to replace my pen, but... Not with a pen. the one I have is sticking around for exams and signatures and everything that demands ink, but what I really want is a nice mechanical pencil. Been eyeing a lovely r0tring but ow my wallet

* A DAP, to fix my music storage problems (Too lazy to set up a Jellyfin bc my tech knowledge explodes into thin air the second connectivity is involved, and also tech gadgets spark joy) Might get a Disc for the aesthetic if it doesn't have the track limit of other snowskys, but otherwise... I'll take anything not obscenely expensive, bluetooth and large-library friendly, and not Android.

* A set of bluetooth headphones for said DAP. (Have to be over-ear, so can't just nab Moto Buds and call it a day. So many options...)

* I kind of want an e-reader, but moreso an e-ink device in general? might nab the Kompakt 2 when it releases.

* A charger wall plug thingy. I could just take the one from my phone charger, but I saw a really pretty one earlier that was out of stock 😞

* I feel like I could use a better keyring, now that I know that's a thing (keys not in pic)

* Also I kind of want a Charmera just because it's cute (and I had to borrow my mom's phone to take this picture)

suggest things for me to want ig

What's in my bag? (Tech Edition)

Left to right:

* Mi Band 10 - With a strap replacement from temu bc the original one broke 💀

* Victorinox Explorer (because I know we're still a pocket knife fandom even in the tech sub.)

* GKD Pixel 2 (my best purchase of the year!)

* Ugreen 10000mah power bank (that I forgor to sticker so it doesn't contrast so much with the everything else)

* ... with matching Uno cord (when I plug it in, it has a little LED kaomoji! :D)

* Moto g54 (not pictured: custom case I'm thinking of replacing, generic dust plug.)

In the market for:

* A DAP, to solve my music storage problem (will probably buy a Disc for the aesthetic tbh if it doesn't have the track limit of other snowskys. I'm too lazy to figure out Jellyfin and little tech toys make me happy)

* A decent set of bluetooth headphones for said DAP (need over-ears, can't just settle for Moto Buds or somesuch. So many options...)

* I kinda want an e-reader, but at the same time, I think I just want an e-ink device in general? like one of those minimal phones. maybe I'll get the Kompakt 2 when it releases

* A charger wall plug thingy. Yes, I should just grab my phone's charger already, But I saw a really pretty one today and it's out of stock 😞

* I also kind of want a Charmera just because they're cute (and I had to borrow my mom's phone to take this picture)

suggest more things for me to want (?)

Looking for recs for my first DAP, requirements inside.

Need:

  • Low price. I can do, like, 100 dollars. 200 maybe if it's REALLY SUPER perfect. I'm from Argentina I'm broke as shit 😭
  • Bluetooth support
  • Very large library support (I desperately wanted to get one of those cool new Snowskys I keep seeing ads for, it's what brought me here actually, but then I heard about the track limit... ~8K is far too few. Think my everything playlist is up to 12k now.)
  • Interesting design- Anything that doesn't look like a Generic Technology Slab gets a massive plus on my part. Bonus points if it comes in quirky colours, too.

I'd search myself, but I'm new to this and dunno if we have something like sbcgaming has for consoles in retrocatalog that lets you search for specific combinations of needs like this.

How do we live with the lack of support? I'm losing my mind and I can't tell anybody!

I'm in the trenches of Another obsession Again, repeat of the last one of course, and last time was a mess. My mother knows I have OCD, she doesn't care enough to research let alone have empathy for my fear despite being the most paranoid person I know herself. My friends know I have OCD, but they don't have the time or mental bandwidth to handle those conversations and don't care to learn either. At least they're kind to me when I break down, can't say that about my parents.

I wish I could just have somebody, who cares about me, walking me through life right now. Gently steering me off my thought spirals, reminding me what's real and what isn't when I see something triggering outside because I can't fucking trust my own brain, holding my hand when I'm scared of going outside in general and guiding me to where I need to go. I'm going fucking insane but I still need to function somehow.

I'm spiraling alone in my room and there's nowhere I can go for help. There IS no help. I'm alone.

[Request][Noob] Using this app to set my launcher to a different one temporarily during certain specific days and times?

New user here, after a lot of searching found this app might have what I'm looking for, but man I am not technical enough for this app's systems and guides. Sub's tagging guide says I can ask for help, or whether this is even possible, so... Help? 😭

Best paid or freemium with lifetime membership apps in 2026?

Got some spare cash and decided to mess around with improving my phone. I then realised just how much my app choices were shaped by "is the free version or foss alternative good?" - like diarium for diary, study bunny as a focus timer, etc instead of more conventional options.
Looked around and mostly saw really old threads (but that might just be reddit search being terrible as always), so decided to come and ask anyway.

What are some critical things and best picks I might've missed out on @ my years of cheaping out on apps? (I'm so sorry devs)

Are there any properly themable keyboards that won't give my phone a terrible disease?

Title.

I miss when I was ignorant of "why my phone slow? :c" and could use stuff like GO apps without caring... I swear all of these are either laggy, malware, or have questionable ads up the wazoo with no lifetime nembership to make them go away.

I've been re-theming my phone recently and it's a bummer to see my rich cyberpunk homescreen and then I use the search and see a hollow, corporate-designed keyboard come up. Any options nowadays or am I outta luck?

edit: fml no one understood the assignment 😭

Is healing actually possible? does anyone know anybody who's done it?

Every time I make the mistake of enquiring about my mangled personality and everything that's wrong with me, I get told healing isn't possible actually and the most I can do is learn to live with it and possibly spend less time suffering.

I have, know and do all of the stupid coping mechanisms and systems and methods and I've got five different people who worship the ground I walk on. I've been both stone cold sober and drugged to the gills on psych meds. I still have zero quality of life, no matter what. I want to be HEALED, past tense. I want the pain to be OVER and GONE and I will not be made to settle for anything else.

Outside of the acceptance and management paradigm of modern therapy, does anyone know anybody who's gotten OVER their problems? like it's in the past and they're completely their own person now? bonus points if they were people pleasers or perpetually anxious or unable to think or decide for themselves and now they're fully able.

Done with Vivaldi. Anything similar (or wild and experimental) to try?

Ever since Vivaldi's newest major update, I've had to close and reopen the thing every 20-30 minutes or so because the UI becomes unresponsive. Honestly pushing a major update that's buggy AND aesthetic focused just screams corpo to me and not what I signed up for at all tbh. Plus I tried the new stuff and honestly think it barely makes a difference and is NOT worth this bizarre performance impact.

My favourite features from Vivaldi were the tab stacks and the built-in RSS reader / mail client suite (don't make me switch back to thunderbird please oh god I hate that thing with every fibre of my being aaaaaaaaaaaaagh) but I don't NEED them, they're just convenient. I just like my apps feature-rich, I guess.

How are GBA & SNES games on the GKD Pixel 2?

Currently looking into buying my first handheld, mainly to play ROMhacks on hardware because I miss clicky buttons and tabbing out is too distracting on my phone. (I'm too much of a coward to mod my 3ds, let alone carry it...) I'm considering, among others, the Brick Hammer (if budget wills it), the RG-40XXV, and the Miyoo Mini Plus as more conventional options, but I'm absolutely charmed by the teeny tiny gkd pixel 2 and especially the adorable pink special edition. it's so cute and the idea of having it in my pocket all day is tempting.

Is it comfortable to play gba & snes games on it or do you have to squint/do the graphics get squished or anything like that? the pokemon guide recommended it as more an all-rounder device, so I wanted to ask for personal experiences. I'm gonna be playing 99% Pokémon hacks but also a few vanilla jrpgs here and there.
