Farak and Farhan Khan are very elegantly carrying the Urdu/Poetic music scene in India
Shoojit sircar cooking something with sushmita, radhika and ananya?
Shoojit Sircar was recently spotted directing Sushmita Sen, Radhika Apte and Ananya Panday together on a super hush hush set.
what exactly is Shoojit Sircar doing here? A film? An OTT anthology? A fashion meets cinema experiment? everybody involved is maintaining absolute silence. No confirmation, no announcements, no leaks.
Heard a snippet, realised Bharg is so underrated as an artist/producer in this space
Beautiful independent music out of Lucknow. Would’ve have been big if it had a bollywood face to it.
Song Name: Aayat by Zaiff
Broke artist uses jugaad to create visuals that defy AI
Video: Ladki Kathiyawadi by Bhadrankar
Imagine all you have is an Ipad, a couple hundred bucks and a carpet + sitar you borrowed. Yet you manage to create visuals with a global appeal, better than what a lot of big artists create. Original.
This is what India has. This is what is hidden from us.
when artists produce their own music ft. bhadrankar, mc stan and calm
Ladki Kathiyawadi, Tadipaar, Bun Maska.
To write and rap a song is to describe a room you are standing in. To produce the melody is to have built the house with your own hands, chosen the timber, and dictated where the shadows fall.
Some of the music beautiful work out of Indian Hip Hop has come when rapper produce for themselves.
sujal/prathamesh are really good but aadduz comes across as very authentic to me as a nagpur local
Throwaway account because I’m too embarrassed to post this on my main, but I had to share this so nobody else in Ahmedabad gets cheated like I did.
I bought a diamond ring last year for my mom from a very famous jeweler in Manek Chowk that my family has visited for generations. It came with a certificate, the staff was extremely polite, and because of the "trust" built over years, we never even thought to verify it.
Recently, I came across a video by CA Palak Rathi. She was talking about consumer rights and how we often lose money because we don't use the right tools to verify our investments. She mentioned these Diamond Expertise Centres at Tanishq where you can take any diamond jewelry to check if it’s actually natural or just a cheap synthetic. It reminded me of the gold Karatmeters, so I decided to take my mom to the one on C.G. Road (they have them at Palladium and Shivranjani too) just to be sure.
The experience was actually quite shocking. They showed us the stones under high-level magnificationyou can literally see the "DNA" of the diamond on a big screen. Then they ran it through a machine called a Diamond Caratmeter.
Now here’s what shook me 😭
Out of the 5 diamonds on the ring, 2 were not diamonds at all. They were just glass or cubic zirconia. I felt so betrayed. I saved up my entire first salary for this gift, thinking I was giving my mom something that would hold value, only to find out we were ripped off by a "family friend." What’s the point of a certificate if it’s just a piece of paper used to hide the truth?
I’m never buying diamonds again without seeing them verified by a machine right in front of me. This "blind trust" culture in our city is exactly how these local shops get away with this.
Throwaway account because I’m too embarrassed to post this on my main, but I had to share this so nobody else in Delhi gets ripped off by their neighborhood jeweler
I bought a diamond ring last year for my mom from a shop in Chandni Chowk that my family has literally sworn by for two generations. They gave me a certificate, the owner was super sweet, and we never questioned the quality because they're our "regular" guys.
Anyway, I was watching a video by Neha Nagar recently. She was talking about how women often get cheated when buying jewelry because we rely on emotion rather than data. She mentioned the Tanishq Diamond Expertise Centres where you can actually get your diamonds verified for free using their tech. It reminded me of those gold Karatmeters, so I decided to take my mom to the one in South Ex (they have them in CP and Karol Bagh too) just to be sure.
The experience was honestly a wake-up call. They have this Diamond Caratmeter and a clarity viewer. They showed the stone under crazy magnification you can see every single inclusion and flaw on a screen.
Then came the shocker.
Out of the 5 stones on that ring, 2 were not diamonds at all. They were just high-quality synthetic stones or glass. I felt completely betrayed. I saved up for months from my first salary to buy this for my mom, only to find out a "trusted" family friend sold me fakes. What is the point of a certificate if it’s just a piece of paper the jeweler printed himself?
I’m done buying jewelry based on "relations." If they won’t let me test it in a machine right there, I’m not buying it.
Has anyone else in Delhi tried checking their old jewelry at these centers? Please go get your stuff checked, especially if you bought from the local markets. You might be in for a nasty surprise.
None of the scenes are AI generated, the music video is literally better than what most big artists drop. The entire music is produced by him and it is all Sitar and Tabla. He had a top sitarist play the Sitar Live for this. If this is not attention to detail then what is
