What TV does your 1 year old like?

Sure i’ll get downvoted for this post but before you do.
He’s probably has 30 minutes TV time MAX each day spread across the day if that, while i clean up his highchair for example or quickly do the washing etc.

He’s not an ipad toddler or anything like that. This is a choice me and my partner made to let him have some TV so please no shaming!

However we can’t seem to find anything else he likes to watch apart from on Disney+ ‘songs & rythmes’ by the ‘Tiny Bunch’.
It’s driving me and my husband crazy. So what does your little ones actually enjoy?
We’ve tried puffin rock, bluey, this sea one on netflix, the dino hunt and a few others, Not interested!

Wedding Rant - When did everyones outfit, plans etc become my job aswell?

So wedding is a week today, i am the bride and for the last month as it gets closer, somehow it's been my job for everyone to ask me 'what to wear, where to stay, what time to arrive, carsharing plans with friends'

I will firstly say i have a wedding website were i have put what the bridal party colour is, local places to stay, what time certain guests can arrive from and what i would 'kindly' ask you to wear ie no trainers etc, casual formal.

However i am probably asked and was asked on a daily basis by someone 'what should i wear'?

I have on a few occasions said look on the website but that feels shitty to say lol.

but anyway i dont know, i dont care aslong as ur not in a bin bag or white dress!!!

Has anyone else found this? That ur day guests and evening guests outfits etc have somehow become your problem?

edit to add - i meant smart casual haha sorry!

13 Month old, sooooo whingy???

My 13 month old, recently has become soooooo WHINGY!!! I partly think maybe his back teeth are causing him some grief, but normally when hes teething he becomes VERY dribbly which hes not. I give him teething gel etc to see if its that, but its still just very very whingy at the moment. The whining noise literally goes through me and i cant take it. He is normally so so happy all the time. But constant whinging at the moment is driving me crazy. Has anyone been through this kind of stage just out of interest???

Rash on belly. When to be concerned?

I noticed a rash on my babys belly yesterday afternoon. Instantly went into panic mode.
Partners advice ‘chill out’ thanks that helps!!

Anyway hes got a cough, hes had a cough for about a week and on weds-thurs he had a high fever but it passed. I took him to GP for this but they couldnt find anything wrong with him.

Now hes got a rash on his belly. When do you be concerned with a rash? Ironically GP is closed today!
I know its hard to ask for advice over reddit but no one else to ask really.
Its all over his belly and a little bit on the top of his legs, little red and tiny tiny bumps. Not chickenpox….

Hes not any different in regards to attitude, still full of life etc

How often will I be getting 'attacks', any ideas?

3 weeks ago i had my first attack, thought i was going to die. Went into hospital next day in which they advised me of gallstones with an infection. Infection was treated, now awaiting an MRI and 'next steps' with surgical team. Since the first attack, ive had one every week now. Last week wasnt as bad, but last night i was in tears again.

Ive read online it can be trigger by eating fatty foods, but im actually on a diet as im getting married in 4 weeks (Yes great timing thanks gallbladder)so im eating healthy.... The only thing ive done different on the days i got an attack was exercise.... but again i've read exercising SHOULD help.

Is this a weekly occurance for me now until they are removed?

Thank you

Tips to get him to drink more water?

My 1 year old, straight up refuses to drink out of sippy cups....or shall i reword that, refuses to drink water.

If i get some water in a straw and put the droplets in his mouth, he will drink it. Or I pour some in his mouth from a glass he will (and goes all down him)

In a Sippy cup or Straw cup? Not a chance... I have tried these cups....

-Munchkin 360 Cup

-Tum Tum Straw Cup

-Tommee Tippee Straw Trainer Cup

- MAM Trainer 2in1 Bottle - Have also tried putting a bottle teat on this one, no luck.

-'Yum yums' Silicone Cup with straw (Came with weaning set)

He is just not interested, he will bite all the straws and just throw the bottles around. And the biting can't be from teething cause ive been trying this for months now...

Im worried that he's not getting enough fluids in him & I've just dropped a milk feed so he eats more solids...

Any advice/tips?

Edit to add - A few have mentioned it, but hes been at nursery for 3 months now, so he sees the other children drinking water as hes one of the few youngest. But they havent 'rubbed' off on him yet on the water drinking lol

Shipping label not being created???

Ive sold something. And as you know you click ‘get shipping label’, spinning loading comes up then goes straight off and nothing is created.

As normal vinted isnt very helpful apart from telling me to cancel the order!

Any ideas? Or is anyone experiencing the same?
Thanks!!

My Baby turns 1 on saturday :'(. Over the weekend i've transitioned him onto Cows milk.

On a 'normal' day his milk + solid intake looks like this -

7:30am - 8oz milk

8-8:30am - Breakfast

12pm - 8oz milk - (New 'day' ive moved to 2:30)

12:30-1pm - Lunch

4:30pm - 8oz milk (New 'day' ive dropped)

5:30pm -Dinner

Bedtime - 8oz Milk to finish off the day.

Apart from teething and rare occasions he will always finish those bottles.

However i know solids needs to take over now SO i have gone cold turkey with the 4:30pm bottle and pushed the 12pm bottle till 2:30pm.

However im finding hes getting very whingy and i know its cause he wants milk cause hes hungry, so i give him a snack..... still whiny.

I feel horrible and obviously im not going to deprived him of food but will he soon understand that he needs to eat more and that bottles not coming anymore? He just loves his milk but i know its alot for his age and he needs to start eating more solids. He does eat his solids but not ENOUGH.

He's not interested in water, i have brought all the cups in the world.

Anyone been here before and any advice?

Im making this post for people to reflect and also for people who might be at 'that stage' now and can't see past it etc.

If i could go back now it would be to look into WW's abit more and not rely on huckleberry so much... It was great and sometimes it was spot on but sometimes i would be rocking/patting/shushing for 30 mins for a nap. And i look back now and think its cause his WW on huckleberry was wrong. We also dealt with alot of false starts at bedtime.

And Dont compare your baby to others. I went to baby classes and as much as i loved them, i couldnt help but compared.

Edit to Add - LO is 1 next Saturday hence why i thought about 'reflecting'

I get Married 15/6/26, Everything is done, got to 'collect' little tiny bits here and there but pretty much sorted.

One thing i keep thinking about is to do the 'confetti or not'.

At the moment I havent brought any.... My idea on it was, what do you do when you get the 'end' of the people confetti line, just be like ah well that was fun, i dont know just seems abit of an anit-climax and awkward at the end?

I'm getting married in a pub/inn, my whole day is here, the only place i think the confetti 'people line' would be is to ask guests to go into the garden and wait for us, not like a church where you wait outside etc, i just feel like it'll be very staged?

Having said that, i see the confetti pictures of previous weddings and im like awhhhh thats nice , thats a nice photo etc.

So im asking on both sides if you have or havent 'done' the confetti. Would you go back and change it?

Edit to add - Politely.... All im asking is everyone on opinions on whether or not to-do this, in regards to what confetti i will get etc i will look at that if i DECIDE todo it. I just wanted feedback, i did not realise this would turn into a debate on what confetti i should or shouldnt use, however i do appreicate the input on recommendations. Thank you to everyone who has commented and not gone negative with my post...

LO is 1 in just under 2 weeks. And randomly maybe once a week we will have a split night where he will be awake for 2 hours...

Last night it took us 3 hours to get him back to sleep...

When looking online & reddit MOST people are saying its due to not enough 'awake time' however..... yesterday was a nursery day and they took him to the park for 4 hours in which time his morning nap was due, normally when nursery do this he'll happily nap in there pram. Not yesterday, yesterday they said he was too wired and having fun to sleep. He only had a 40 minute nap in the afternoon.

On a normal day his sleep looks like this -

7:30am - wake

10:30am - 1st nap, capped at 1.15hrs

3:15-3:30pm - 2nd nap, capped at 1.15 hrs - If he wakes up after an hour on naps, we dont 'rescue' it

8:30-8:45pm bedtime.

Even with this schedule, he can go from sleeping through to a split night the next night. There is no consistency....

Whats also wierd about the split nights is that he is CLEARLY tired and wants to sleep but he keeps waking himself up and at the same time, wants a cuddle but wants space. I resettled him back in his crib last night twice, thought 'yesssss finally' only to wake up 5 minutes later....

So with the long split night last night was it due to him not sleeping enough yesterday?
