Local Gaming group looking for -Extroverted- friends who love LAN parties

Hey Twin Cities friends,

We have a private discord centered around connecting local TC gamers that want to play online together, have meetups, and love LAN parties. The group was started by a few core friends and has grown to a couple dozen cool people.

There is currently a bi-weekly LAN party going on and our first BIGLAN 2026 coming up in June. BIGLAN will be reoccurring each month with around 12 people if all goes well.

What we are looking for are people who would like to be an active member of our super awesome club and aren't afraid of joining us for regular online gaming, being active in channels, and helping us grow.

Current games we play are Arc Raiders, Counter strike 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Left 4 Dead 2, Helldivers, Battlefield 4, and many others. We also have dedicated Valheim and Unreal Tournament 2004 servers.

Most of us are guys in their 30s-40s who have regular jobs, partners, and many are in the tech field.

- If this sounds like a good fit then feel free to send me a DM here or Reach out to me on discord- "the_winter_warden"

Thanks for making it this far and look forward to hearing from some of you! - Alex

Make not wiping Wikelo ships make sense

If you spend 200 hours grinding UEC, 200 hours grinding executive hanger ships, or 200 hours grinding Wikelo, what is the difference?

People were using duped items and money to get Wikelo ships as well. Why are they exempt? I don't understand what the difference is.

I don't mind a full wipe at all. In fact I'm very excited for it. What I'm not excited for is knowing that all of the people who used exploits to get Wikelo ships now have an edge on everybody else for no reason.

Edit: After seeing some of the responses I realized my point is even more valid.

The materials to get Wikelo ships are valuable and often traded. Wouldn't not wiping Wikelo ships mean that there are now countless possible trades and transactions that will no longer happen?

If the economy is the main reason for the wipe, why not wipe one of the most exploited and valuable tradable items in the game?

EDIT: WE DID IT BOYS, WIKELO SHIPS ARE NOW BEING WIPED TOMORROW, THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR TIRELESS WORK!

We all know that you want to save your dying server.

We all know that you have invested your time in hopes that something would happen where there is a population resurgence.

That does not mean that you need to spam and hijack every single post in the subreddit begging people to join your soon-to-be (again) dead server.
