Is it standard to not fill the cup all the way?

This is the third time in a row my tea has been like this. I always get an XL but they give me a solid inch and a half of room. Should I just specify that I'd like a little more hot water? I don't want to be whiny but it's kind of frustrating, like I might as well have ordered a large.

Managers with dyed hair/piercings?

This feels like such a silly question but do any of the managers in any of y'all's stores have colorful hair or multiple piercings?

Managers come and go every few months at my store, and one thing I've noticed is that all of them have had very plain appearances. The only exception I can think of is my ACSM having a tiny nose piercing.

I'm a CSS right now, trying to move up to CSTL and CSM eventually but I'm worried that the appearance standards for management are going to keep me out unless I get rid of my piercings and keep my hair natural.

I've never seen any material that says they can't from what I can remember, but it's a trend I've noticed and I'm wondering if that's something that plays into their decision when deciding who gets a promotion or not. Is it just that those things are seen as less professional so people with them are less likely to get picked or is there an actual rule against it?

Martial arts lessons that AREN'T for babies?

Been trying to get back into karate but I cant seem to find a place that's just for adults. Took a free trial class a while back and even though I told them I'm an adult they had me surrounded by 4 year olds while all their parents glared at me like I was an intruder 😭

Does anyone know anywhere I can take lessons with minimal to no children present? Preferably around the west side but I'm not picky.

2009 Honda Fit Sport starts but won't move unless I turn it off and back on again

I just got my first car and I'm already experiencing issues :(

I wasn't super worried when I bought it because I got it inspected and they said there were no issues except that the brakes are due to be replaced soon. I did have to get the battery replaced a couple weeks ago because it died suddenly, but I don't know if that's related.

The first time this happened I thought I had just done something wrong. I got in the car, it started just fine, but when I went to back out of my parking spot it wouldn't move. I turned it off and back on again and it worked fine. That was about a week ago.

Now, this morning as I'm about to leave for work, I get in, the car starts, I begin to back out, and the car moves about three inches before stopping completely. I turned it off and back on, and when it started again the car shook a bit, but ultimately it started moving again.

I'd like to figure out what's up before my car stops moving entirely, I'm not very good with cars and I don't know how much I can trust google. Any advice or anecdotes help.

Would my clay creations be safe to leave on a car dashboard?

Was thinking of making some little guys to sit on the dashboard in my car but I just realized that it gets pretty hot in my car during the summer. I've got a sun shade but it only helps so much. It's not like oven temp for sure but it gets up there.

Would the temperature in there possibly burn the clay/cause it to become tacky over time?

Can I get them to remove a hold on my money?

I know it's a huge longshot, but I need these funds sooner rather than later.

I just opened my first USAA account in order to be able to purchase USAA car insurance because my other bank uses discover ard which they dont accept.

The problem is that I didn't realize until it was too late that the money I transferred into my new account wouldn't be usable until the 4th. This is a problem because I set up my appointment for my road test to get my license on the 28th. I need my car insured before I can take it on the road for the test.

The money would be going directly back to USAA to make the first payment for the insurance. If I called an agent tomorrow to ask if I could get the hold lifted what would the odds be that it worked?

Virginia: Two-part knowledge exam to qualify for driver's license

I'm planning on taking my knowledge test on Tuesday and I've been studying, but I have pretty bad test anxiety and I'm nervous that the questions might throw me off compared to the study guide on the DMV website.

Does anyone know if the practice questions are the same as the ones on the official test or are they only based off the practice questions? Any help I get would be greatly appreciated because I've waited far too long to get my liscense and I'd like to not prolong the process any further by failing this test.

Better ways to prepare blue lotus tea?

I've been getting more in touch with my spiritual side lately and I heard blue lotus is great for helping with clearer dreams and even lucid dreaming. I had tried smoking it at first to no effect, so I figured I'd try a different method. I let it steep for 24 hours for potency, and had a cup on tuesday. It worked great! I had much clearer dreams for days after and overall felt like I was sleeping better too.

But that taste....

I just can't do it, I have to plug my nose and guzzle it like a child taking medicine, and afterwards I feel like I'm about to vomit. It's like drinking dirty dishwater 😭

Does anyone have any recommendations for preparation to disguise the flavor? Or other teas I could mix it with that compliment it enough that the taste is less offensive?

I'm pretty broke and it's just about the only thing within my budget that doesn't look like it's gonna explode on me in a week. From the photos everything looks solid minus the interior being badly stained but I can live with that.

It's a 2017 LS for $5,500 dollars, and I want to know if I can expect it to keep going for at least another 20k miles or if I should try for something else.

I'm going to look at it in person tomorrow and make my decision then but I wanted feedback from other spark drivers before I really commit.

I really do hope that it'll last because as it stands it's one of the only decent subcompact models left on the market. I'm not sure where else to look and I just know I couldn't handle anything bigger than a sedan 😞
