I really like Splendor, huge hit with my family, and I'm looking for an engine builder that's just one level up. I was surprised to find BGG doesn't have a category for "Engine Builder", nor does the Dice Tower have a "Top Ten Engine Builders" video for me to watch. :)

So, I ask you, the Redditors of r/BG, what are your favorite engine builders, and where would you recommend someone go after starting with and enjoying Splendor? Solo or group, co-op or competitive, doesn't matter, I'm interested in them all!

My 3d printer won't print. I have a Creality Ender-3 v3 KE. It gives me a warning whenever I try to do anything (print, calibrate, whatever): "Warning key:2000 An unknown error occurred during printing".

Context: I got the "blob of death" and had to replace my hot end. I bought an OEM Creality replacement, made sure it worked with my printer, pulled the old one out and hooked up the new one. I was getting the "key:2000" error both before replacing the hot end, and now it persists after the new one is in.

I've run through the troubleshooting on the Creality website, and it didn't fix it. I've opened a ticket with the Creality help desk, and they said they would email me within 2 days.

It's been 8 days, no email (checked the junk folder, nothing).

Does anyone know how to fix a "key:2000" error? Is my machine now e-waste or what? I can't print with this error in place, and I don't know how to clear the error.

There is no way, none, I will ever use the full volume range in the R2 (current reservation holder, have driven an R1 for a few weeks and test drove the R2). I would make easy money on a bet that I'd never go past 50% — in everyday driving, "3" was too loud.

Is there a way to readjust the volume slider so that "100" becomes the current "10" or "5" or something? If that's not already a feature, is there an official place to request software updates to Rivian HQ? Does RJ stalk this forum? :)

Got as a present 18 months ago, set it up, benchy complete! Hmm, let's see what Star Wars stuff I can find....

That was the high point, it's all been downhill from there. Bed adhesion issues have been terrible, my print success rate is way below 10%, likely below 1%.

Last month I foolishly walked away while attempting a print, the print head was completely encased in hot plastic when I returned 45 minutes later. Print head couldn't be salvaged, I cut the plastic out and ordered a new print head online.

Official Creality replacement head came last week, I installed it and now I have a "key:2000" error that won't clear. I've tried all the troubleshooting, contacted Creality, and they opened a ticket. They only do troubleshooting via email, though, so realistically I'm looking at about 2-4 weeks of back and forth with them to actually get anything resolved.

Is this what 3D printing is like? This is, by far, the worst piece of consumer equipment I've ever owned — I would be disappointed with the reliability if I had built it out of garbage and hacked together my own control software.

What am I missing here? How can my kid's elementary school possibly be using this exact printer for kindergarten STEAM projects????

Should I scrap this entirely and pay thousands for something that works marginally better?

Question: why does the location of the charging port matter so much to the driver? More specifically, why was the port moved on the R2 to driver’s side rear (instead of driver’s side front on the R1)?

I’m currently renting an R1 on a trip, and having the charging port right at the front seems the easiest for pulling in to charging stations. But I’ve read people complaining about this setup, that somehow it gives you fewer options if all but one of the stations are occupied????
