Can you invite someone to be an alumni, or do they have to be a mod?

On the wiki of a sub, it says "editing Locked"
> You don't have permission to edit this page. Learn more about editing eligibility in Reddit’s Help Center.
Where is the "Help Center"?
Windows. Firefox.
I am used to pressing CTRL-F to search for a word on the page.
Tonight, it's stopped working.
Any ideas why?
Listen guys;
I am very easy-going about rules. We only have two.
Just... please... how hard do I have to scream it?
WE WILL NOT HELP YOU TO FIND PEOPLE.
Because it's weird. It's stalking.
OK?
We will help you find anything else.
NOT PEOPLE.

The explainxkcd website has been down for a while.
Anyone know why?
I'm lost without it!

Can't access chat. Says "You don't have any friends yet". Clicking the left-arrow (out of "thread") does nothing.
Clicking the chat icon toggles the sidebar on and off, but I cannot see any chats.
[We did this last week, and it was fun, so let's do it again!]
Help me out, guys.
The UK cryptic crossword from today's Metro - a free newspaper that we get on buses here.
Friday the 3rd of July.
Just for fun.
Of course, I could simply Google the answers, but that's boring.
For example: 5 across, "Included" in the clue is "was a bit of", Japanese horse radish.
9 across, another word for beams (of light) are "rays", which sounds like "raise" (to lift).
I've posted this before reading the rest, so you can all enjoy.
I've spotted a few more. 19a is backwards >!wets>stew!<. 20 across is an anagram of "patching".
I will happily explain anything you find confusing, and I will absolutely post updates.
I guarantee I will post the full answer, within a day.

It's a UK cryptic crossword from yesterday's Metro - a free newspaper that we get on buses here.
Friday June 26th.
Just for fun.

Let's see if we can polish it off before the footy kicks off.

Brief update at 01:10 after England's magnificent triumph:
I see many of you have replied - I shall collate it, and post a proper update with it filled in, within the next hour.
Thank you all for your kind responses, which I will answer soon.
**EDIT 2:** See my reply "THE UPDATE" for the completed crossword.
"A woman turning 100 has shared the secrets of long life - Yorkshire tea, butter, and 40 cigarettes a day"
How can I report a user for barn evasion? If they're using a different account, saying that their main has been barned - from Reddit, not just a sub.
It doesn't seem to fit into any of the "report" categories.

ESL - Seems abandoned.
I'd like to make it about English as a Second Language.
In another chat, "Passport to Pimlico" came up.
What's the best?
I love Ladykilers.
My Sister likes "Titfield Thunderbolt" - and, especially, "The Happiest Days of Your Life".
In another thread, people spoke of "Kind Hearts and Coronets" - which I've never heard of.
In the mod log, if I try to sort the posts by "Moderator name", it shows there are many pages - but I cannot click on the right arrow to see other pages.
That right-arrow does nothing.
I cannot scroll down to lower posts.
I thought I'd share this photo with the class, at a pub in Manchester on this gloriously sunny day.
I'm convinced that my own language skills improve after a modicum of imbibing. But maybe I just think they do?
I do feel like there's something to it though. The biggest obstacle when learning another language is often our own fear of making mistakes, which can prevent learners from simply "having a go".
Alcohol lowers our inhibitions. Cheers!

I'm looking for a subreddit where I can discuss a moral/ethical question:
Is it ethical to keep a pet cat entirely indoors and never allow it outside?
I'm not looking for answers to the question here, nor am I looking to start an argument. I'm simply trying to find an appropriate subreddit for a thoughtful discussion of the issue from ethical, practical, and animal welfare perspectives.
Which subreddit would be the best fit?
