Any VCT fans?
Any VCT fans in the sub? Would like to talk about the ongoing tournaments and stuff. I'm a huge Zekken fan but I don't really have any team I support overall rn, will follow EWC when it begins.

I've been averaging like 270 for the past few months, this was the first one where I hit 300 with my first HM too! Looking to keep up this consistency which should get easier because the weather was terrible this month.
My past few months have been around 270s, this was the first one where I hit 300 but the past week was terrible because of the humidity. Managed to push out a HM during this time too. Hoping to keep up this consistency!
I'm ngl I was dying 😭, but I'm so happy I did this without stopping! (Thanks to the random stranger for telling me midrun that HM is 21.1, not 21 kilometres)
Is this structure decent to improve my 10k time? I also do longer 6k threshold on Thursday, Wednesday and Sunday are rest and the rest are easy days.
Most of the stuff I see here is classics, although I have read and like some of them like Jane Austen stuff, Crime and Punishment, the Brothers Karamazov etc. I wanna talk to people who read like fantasy/sci fi stuff, on the more mature side. Some of the stuff I like are-
Stormlight Archives
Wheel of time
Realm of the Elderlings
Suneater
Red rising

And I'm planning on reading asoiaf, witcher, etc. if you're into anything I mentioned, please hmu I would love to talk about these books! Also I read manga and stuff asw.
I stopped watching VCT early 2025, was a huge Zekken fan and now I see Zekken AND Aspas together but they haven't qualified to a single international??? Wtf??
Hii everyone. I'm into long distance running, I run like 70 kilometres in a week with 2 rest days, my 10k time is 46:05 but I did it without a taper and on like a regular day without cutting any of my runs down.

I wanted to ask how would I wanna structure a taper around my next 10k pr attempt because I'm confident I can get it sub 44 now because it's been a while since my last attempt which was without a taper.

Hii, I am just looking for people to talk about general interests with. I have many interests, I love reading, fantasy and scifi. I run a lot, like a lot. My major is in Robotics and I love to have existential, moral and political conversations. I also like reading manga although I've stopped watching anime a long time ago, I don't mind giving stuff that's well acclaimed a try though!

It's probably closer to 1050 because my app has decided to randomly not record some runs but it's still nice to hit the record in app, I'll try to get to 2.5k by the end of the year.
Hii, this is my first post here. Managed a tempo and volume session in a hot weather, kind of fumbled my second tempo interval by running the first kilometre of it sub 4m when I wasn't planning to, but we ball.
I didn't realise I couldn't post images on weekdays, but just wanted to talk about the tempo + volume session I did today
3.03k @5:51/km - just general warmup
2.54k @4:25/km - first tempo session, felt alright after it
2.2k @4:07/km - second tempo session, slight fumble as I ran the first kilometre sub 4 minutes without realising, it wasn't my intention, did it because new shoes
3.32k @5:31/km - cooldown after the last tempo run, as I was kind of dead
2.01k @4:26/km - last tempo session of the day, emptied the tank, most proud of this one even though it was the slowest tempo of the day.
1k @5:09/km - cooldown, to finish up the volume
In the end I ran slightly over 14 kilometres, tomorrow is rest, thursday will be the second and final tempo of the week, I'll try to do a longer 6k or something if the weather is in my favour.

Im gna be interval training tomorrow, I wanna keep volume high so it's gna be 1x9k warmup and 2x3k threshold. Wish me luck. I'm aiming for a pace below 4:30 per km for the threshold, I'm generally quite confident that I can hit this pace but this weather makes it quite hard so I'm not sure. I'll post it on here tomorrow morning once I'm done.

I like buying books, but I'll never buy a book I haven't already read. I read on my phone, if I really like something I'll buy a physical copy of it to keep and this supports the author as well in case it's a niche book. Does someone else do this?
My current 10k pb is 46 mins, like exactly that. Aside from last week when I got sick from a heatstroke, I run about 70 kilometres per week. I do one-2 speed sessions and the rest are easy to moderate long runs, like 14-16 kilometres. Am I on the right track or can something be improved here?
