Help! Open a Eagle lock 056V23

Hi! I am Martina and i am from Argentina. Two days ago i found an antique wooden trunk in the street. It’s closed and i dont have the key. I’ve made some search on the internet and tried to open it but i cant open it yet, and i’m a little bit obsessed by now. Someone have a clue for open it? On the internet says that there is a key with that code (056V23) but here in Argentina i couldn’t find it.

A letter from Abraham Lincoln to Col. William F. Elkins dated November 21, 1864:

“We may congratulate ourselves that this cruel war is nearing its end. It has cost a vast amount of treasure and blood… It has indeed been a trying hour for the Republic; but I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war. God grant that my suspicions may prove groundless.”

Cap replacement

This appears to be a cap for a 3/4” copper, hot water stub, I’m assuming for a possible future expansion. It appears to be a screw-on cap. I just want to confirm from someone with knowledge that’s what it is before I go through the trouble of shutting down the water, removing the existing cap (and subsequently destroying it in the process), and finding out it’s a weld.
