Hi everyone! She said yes, and our engagement is coming up soon, so I'm finally getting her engagement ring made. This is my first time buying a diamond ring, and I'd really appreciate some advice before I give the final approval.
I've attached 3 images. The first is the reference ring I sent my vendor, and the other two are the CAD renders they created.
My vendor keeps suggesting that I either switch to a 6-prong setting or keep the gallery rail. Personally, I don't want a gallery rail because I prefer the cleaner, more open look, so I'm trying to decide whether I should stick with 4 prongs or go with 6 prongs for a 4.05 ct round diamond.
I'm also paying $1,400 for a 4.05 ct E VVS2 lab-grown diamond. Does that seem like a fair price?
I found Shiv Diamond Cartel through Instagram, and my experience with them so far has been good, but I couldn't find many independent reviews online. Has anyone here purchased from them or heard of them? I'd really appreciate any feedback before I move forward.

I was in my first relationship with her. I really love her. I really wanted her to be the most happy person out, and I used to actively try the best I could, but whatever I did was not enough for her. It was like if I give her rose as my gesture of love. She won’t focus on the rose and my love, but she would focus on the thorn that I removed from the rose, but still has a small spike due to imperfection and removing.
I just want to share things because she had problems, even if I go out with my male friends, female friends is a very far away. I agree with it I reduced my social life. To which my senior also understood and seenzoned me. But when I shared this thing to my gf. She was thinking that I am complimenting her, and for one whole week, she kept taunting me for it.
After this thing got settled down, I decided I don’t want to be on social media because my girlfriend is very insecure. So I deleted my social media and I was only active on one account on Instagram on which I follow. Only my girlfriend except that on WhatsApp. She still did not believe saying that, even though you’re not following those girls, you could still be texting them. I said take my ID password, whatever you want because I loved her, and I still love her.
Due to some reason, I had to open my Instagram account because I wanted to follow this person. Late night when I slept, she saw my following and updated her account. I cannot text her on WhatsApp. I cannot call her because she’s at her home and her parents are very strict. She deleted all my point of contact and was shouting on me that I didn’t even try to get her back when she tried disconnecting all points of contact. I tried contacting her with her friend. I mean, I texted her friend. Can you help me? To which my girlfriend was like you just want reasons to connect with her because you like her.
Once, when I asked her, if there is someone else in her life because I was feeling a bit insecure because she wasn’t sending me reels for almost a month. She was sending me dry text and that too very delayed. To which she replied with, yes, it was late night. I hung up the call. I wasn’t able to sleep the whole night and the next day I did not call her. And around evening, she unfollowed me, which made me shutter into bits and pieces. I called her crying. How could you do this to me to which she replied? You don’t even trust me enough that you believed in anything that I am saying.
I mean it’s you who say that you have someone else in your life, and now I should not believe the words that you are saying.
I went to Vapi, just to convince her and say sorry for something that happened between me, my friend and her. I left from my city Baroda around 1 AM. Midnight reached there around nine. I texted her to please come out. She did not come out i understand. Maybe her parents a strict so she wasn’t able to meet me. But then I asked I’m very hungry. Could you suggest me a good place for breakfast and she didn’t even suggest me that?
And I believe she really loved me while I was going back from Bapi to Baroda. Should I at least texted me? Where did you reach? How are you? How is the driving? How is the heat? (this happened in peak summer by the way) I texted her when I reached Surat around 1 o’clock if she had lunch. To which she replied “tumhe kya”. I was shattered in pieces that I drove this far just to meet her to clear things out to be with her. She didn’t care about me. I texted again during lunchtime if she had lunch or not, and she replied this, she thinks “tumhe kya”.
Later, when I said her that I want you to care about me, then she said I do not know that I care about anyone and I have passed trauma, and I am in fear that if I care about you, you will go away. But frankly, I’ve seen her text and call with her female best friend. Over there, she was completely a different person. It was like I am someone who is irritating her by showing up every day in her life and her best friend is her love of her life.
The night before my university examination of the hardest subject, I said her that I am tired. I’m going to sleep early and I’m going to wake up early and study in the morning to which she replied. Say it on my face that I am ugly and you hate me, and you want to talk to other girls behind my back. I said please don’t have this victim mentality. I am really going to sleep. To which she started saying that show me proof that you’re innocent, and you won’t be talking to anyone else. I said no, I won’t show proof of my innocence. You are accusing me then accuse me with a proof else don’t. After this, she started giving me suicidal threats that she would suicide and give all the blame on me if I don’t give her my Instagram password.
These are just few of the many experience that I have faced with her.
On the last call she said me, fuck off.
After that, I did not call her
But the thing really affected me so much that I don’t want to get out of my room or to be honest out of my bed. And she is right now on her trip and Ahmedabad and will be coming back, maybe today. I am not hundred percent sure because my friend isn’t saying me much about her.
But when I gave him hundred percent, I expected her to give her hundred percent. The breakup shattered me so much. I’m not even sure if I be passing the exam. And she’s out there, enjoying with her friends like nothing happened to her.
When I asked her, this relationship meant nothing to be that you are so going out with your friends, and you are able to enjoy. To which she replied, this was already planned, and I cannot cancel it.
On the other hand, I had a trip with my friend planned to Bombay which I cancelled because I wasn’t feeling that I want to enjoy.
I have done everything that I can, every morning, I used to draw something on a black screen and send it to her before she wake up. It could be a rose a cake of flowers. Something to wish her good morning. Every time we met, I used to bring water for her because the hostel water wasn’t good. Every time we meet, I used to bring a bouquet for her. Every time we met, I used to bring her favourite chocolate Bounty. But all these things was of no value for her because it was easy for her to get out of this and go out and enjoy for me. I am in the most difficult phase of my life.
