Is getting abs worth it?

i've went from 198 pounds (5 11) to 168 pounds. I'm pretty lean right now. I've been lifting for 7 years.

The only thing I don't have is shredded abs. I genuinely believe I am only 2-5 pounds away. But holy crap. This diet has been AWFUL the last few pounds.

I unfortunately store ALL of my last fat in my stomach it feels like. I am exceptionally lean (my arms and legs are shredded) except for my lower belly. Apparently this is genetic. Some people store fat elsewhere I guess?

Anyways, these past few weeks have been awful. I am really strict with my diet. My deficit isn't even that large (3-400 calories a day). My body is really rejecting getting leaner.

I am:

Getting migraines

Feeling cold all of the time

I CAN NOT SLEEP

Feel hungry ALL OF THE TIME. Its now CONSTANT

I did an entire week where I ate ABOVE maintenance 2-300 calories a day just to give my body a break and when I went back down my body went INSANE.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it even worth getting shredded abs at this point? I'm honestly leaner then 99% of the population, and have abs when I am fasted and flex in good lighting. But I don't have rock hard abs.

Realized a job from my resume is off by 3-4 months - will this cause major issues? Would this be a red flag for a candidate?

Hello, I am in the final steps of an interview process and I realized my resume has a discrepancy. Everything else on my resume is completely accurate. The start/end dates for the other two jobs on my resume are completely accurate. I didn't lie about my education credentials either.

However, I noticed that my start date for a job from 7 1/2 years ago (and last job on my resume) wasn't January, it was April/May (I looked at bank statements). The end date was accurate.

Honestly when making my resume I just guessed, this job was 7 1/2 years ago so i didn't remember my start date.

Will this cause me to get my offer rescinded? Should I be worried?

Why is league so toxic about rank and act like diamond isn't good?

I just reached Diamond for the first time (I play casually, like 5-6 ranked games a week) and am even playing against D3-D1 players in some of my games. I'm D3 right now.

From my understanding diamond is literally the top 3-4% of players.

This is just for ranked too, not even counting unranked players, people who only play aram, etc.

How is being top 2-3% of something make you not good at it? Its pretty disheartening to read online about how diamond is "trash".

I mean, sure, if you want to compare me to challenger/GM players yeah I'm not that good. But given the time sink I put into the game (not that much) I think i'm pretty dang good.

Its like if I were to look at the top 2-3% of basketball players in the world. I just looked and you most likely played college basketball, and a shot at being D1 if you are that high up. Is a college basketball player who played in D2/D1 not considered extremely good at basketball?

Yes, but him on a team with lebrons and he sucks, but to the average player thats SUPER good.

IDK, just seems super toxic to me.

Is getting to challenger a lot harder then it used to be?

I've been watching pro player streams (Doublelift and Broxah) and they are both kinda hardstuck master/GM.

Doublelift has several hundred games and is only rank 500.

I just like to always think that a player as good as Doublelift or Broxah should be getting challenger in their sleep. Is it just a lot harder then it used to be?

I know there are a few caveats, with Broxah one tricking teemo and doublelift playing without map cover (so getting ghosted).

Been trying to conceive for over a year and still no pregnancy. Can anyone offer support/guidance? I can't believe how depressing/hard this is.

Hello, me and my wife are 28 and have been trying to have a baby for over a year. We have unprotected sex obviously but try to do it several times a week and even time it with her cycle to try and get the best chances.

It has been pretty disheartening. After seeing some doctors i'm shocked how common this is. We were wanting to have a decently sized family (3 children at least), and now it seems like thats not in the cards.

IVF is the cost of a car too.

Does anyone have any advice? Did it take this long? I am starting to get really sad/depressed (Same with my wife). Will we ever have the opportunity to have children? We aren't exactly young anymore :(

My wife especially is starting to get really sad. Any way I can support her through this? Its been really hard on me too.

I get this weird jealously even when I hear about how some couples get pregnant instantly or even "accidental" pregnancies, even though I know thats not healthy.

Getting lean is way more attractive then being bulked, even if you look small in a shirt

I used to have massive copium before my massive 6 month long cut.

"I can't be lean, I'll look small in shirts!"

"I like being bulked up!"

It was all copium. I've went from 197 pounds to 166 pounds (5 11).

The abs are nice, and yes I do look small in a shirt.

But the biggest difference by FAR is the face gains. My face looks DRAMATICALLY better.

CHICKS DO NOT CARE ABOUT LOOKING BIG IN SHIRTS NEARLY AS MUCH AS A LEAN FACE!!! FACE FAT LOOKS AWFUL!

My wife LOVES how I look now, and she says its primarily because of my FACE. Same with all of the women friends I have.

In the final stages of job interviews, but worried about previous jobs on resume dates not being accurate?

I just got to the final stage of an interview. The job I had 7 years ago (in 2019!!) I guessed when my start date was because the company went bankrupt and I legitatmely used my school email with that job that I don't have access to anymore.

I had a sneaking suspicion that it was innacurrate. Especially since im in final interviews.

I went through my old bank statements and yes, its off by around 3-4 months. Every other date on my resume is correct though, to the day. This job was in 2019.

Should I worry about this?

Makapū‘u beach - is it dangerous?

HelloI want to body board this week and have been doing research. i've heard awful things about how dangerous sandy beach is. What about Makapuu? I've done some research and seen its not as dangerous and has actual good waves!

I am in shape but just a decent swimmer. Thank you in advance. The waves in waikiki seem a little small.

AITA for wanting my husband to say no to his new job?

Hello,

I've been married for over 5 years. I've been with my husband for 8. We are both 27.

We love where we currently live. The only problem is housing affordability is just awful where we live. I live just 30 minutes way from my dad, and I grew up here.

Me and my husband don't have much of a safety net here though. My husbands parents live far, and I only have a Father who isn't close to retirement. I want children eventually and while we can survive off of my husbands income (75k), it would be tight and we would not be able to afford a home with just him working.

We both make around 75k, so 150k yearly.

However I really want to stay at home with my kids when they are super young, and when they start school i'll go back into the workforce.

My husband just got a job offer for 145k a year. Practically almost what we make combined. Its also in a cheaper state, and a prestigious company as well.

I'm torn. I don't want to leave my current career just for him. But he did bring up a good point - I can technically work from anywhere (I'm a teacher, teachers are needed everywhere and the new state I would live in I could teach in), while my husbands industry is much more niche.

Would I be an A hole if I said no? I keep flip flopping on what I should do, but i'm so afraid of change and honestly would hate to leave my current state, I love it here.

I barely know anything about the state too.

Should we do it? This is literally my dream, to be able to stay at home with my young children, but i'm just so awfully afraid of moving. I really wish we could stay where we live but we're doomed for dual income. Its just all I know, i've lived here my whole life.

I barely know anything about the state too.

tl;dr my husband got a new job that requires me to move out of state. I kind of don't want to but its a really good oppurtunity.
