Poor Underbody protection of Tata

Attached photos are of Sierra EVs poor underbody protection for HV cables and Motors. It really upsets the buyers seeing this getting exposed easily outside. If there is any warranty problem for these, Tata will easily reject saying it got physical damage. Is Tata doing these to escape from warranty claims and have these exposures as bait?

Even Mahindra's EVs have these issues?

Please let me know your POVs

Sierra EV - Tata Showroom is ghosting after Booking

I booked a Sierra EV on July 26 and was requesting them continuously to send me email confirmation, at last after a week finally received an email confirmation from the showroom after repeated follow-ups. In the email, they specified an expected delivery timeline of 8–12 weeks, whereas the sales executive verbally assured me it would take 4–8 weeks. To make matters worse, the email explicitly stated that 'verbal commitments will not be entertained.' Do they assume customers are completely gullible?

Furthermore, I have been emailing them continuously for the past two weeks seeking written confirmation regarding a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), specifically that I will release full payment and allow invoicing only after a successful PDI. I have yet to receive a clear response on both the PDI commitment and the delivery timeline. What should my next steps be?

EV Range test Video

Couple of months back, I saw a video from a famous Automobile reviewing channel, I doubt it is Autocar India, but not clear. The video is about EV range test or ultimate EV comparison. They were in some race track and was comparing the EV range and effienciency one by one, and the Creta EV stood out with a good range. But now if I search the youtube I'm not finding any kind of such video being posted, can someone share the link if you find?

Why man why? No Armrest and recline in Sierra EV?

Why the armrest, 60:40 fold, middle passenger headrest and recline are not in Sierra EV base and mid variant? And reserved for only top variants? These are very basic features.

Sierra EV delivery

I see many Sierra EV got delivered across India, can anyone who have bought one comment on how is the quality of the product? Is their still niggles in EV version of Sierra similar to ICE?

PS; Please no one come and chant that Tata quality is poor, reliability is poor, their service is poor.

I only want owners review, other people please stay aside and show your hate somewhere.

Convince me to buy a EV Car for 26L

My father and mother combined income is 2L/month.

It's our first car to buy for our family.

I'm working but won't contribute for buying this car, it's purely for my mom and dad.

They currently don't have any usecase to buy a car.

They own one bike and a scooter.

Car is just for lifestyle improvement, and personally I would use their car to go for work, weekly will be doing one single 280kms.

We are planning to take loan, and pay lesser down payment.

We don't have any loans or debt.

Reason to go with EV is peace of mind for the running cost, we can freely take car whenever we want instead of worrying on fuel cost.

The other option I have is Amaze CVT under 10L. But if it's Amaze then fuel cost will come to play.

Can I go for Sierra EV instead?

Sierra EV Launch Event Demo fail

One of the biggest failure in Launch.

Edit: The white Sierra on the left failed to climb down the ramp. Which finally led to a vacant display spot on the right. Three cars where expected to be on stage, but as the white Sierra got struck in the ramp, only two were able to make the stage.

EV charging

Can I charge my car just using the portable charger in my home all the time?

Will it affect car battery and the electrical appliances in my home?

I don't have frequent use of the car.

59kWh vs 79kWh

Confused to go for XEV 9s Pack one above 59 kWh or 79 kWh. We ain't have frequent long travel our regular and maximum total trip distance will be 300 kms. Occasionally we will go for long trips 6 months once, total covering 1000 kms.

Should I go for 79kWh which cost 2 lakhs extra than 59 kWh?

Just range changes for that money, and power, I'm more than enough with power in 59kWh.

Car is for my parents, I wil drive for 3-4 years initially and will be buying my own car later. I also worry if I travel aggressively the range of 59kWh will reduce drastically, which makes me to get biased to go with 79kWh.
