Multiple Antibiotics in the First Trimester?

Hello all. I am 13w4d pregnant, this is my first pregnancy. I’m worried about all of the antibiotics I’ve taken so far in the first trimester. At about 5 weeks I had UTI symptoms, I went to my OBGYN who did a in house UTI dip test, & a vaginal swab for BV & yeast. While waiting for results, I was put on a Keflex twice daily for 7 days. Halfway through I was told I don’t have a UTI, just a yeast infection (which can be caused by early pregnancy), & to take Monistat & finish my antibiotics just in case. Then, at 7 weeks, I got UTI symptoms again, and was put on Keflex twice daily for 10 days. They did a UTI dip test, & I tested positive for leukocytes. Now, I’m 13 weeks pregnant, with a UTI that they actually sent to Quest this time, & I tested positive for a bacteria that only responds well to Macrobid. I know I have to take the antibiotic, because this specific bacteria won’t go away on its own (according to Google). However, I feel so guilty & nervous. Did anyone else take multiple antibiotics during the first trimester? Or multiple antibiotics during their pregnancy at all? How is your baby now? Idc how it affects me, just my baby.

Symptom decrease at 8 weeks?

Hello all. I’m currently, exactly, 8 weeks pregnant today. The entirety of week 7 I spent sleeping majority of the day, constant nausea, and many food aversions. Starting yesterday, my symptoms have decreased significantly. I’m def not nauseous, I feel more energy but I’m still slightly tired, and I think eat food without gagging. Has this happened to anyone else? I know Google says it’s normal. But I prefer real human interaction to learn others experiences. Please share, I’m feeling fairly anxious. Thank you.

I am 5 weeks pregnant. I forgot to tell my OBGYN I have Subclinical Hashimoto’s. I have not been on levothyroxine since it’s “Subclinical”. My PCP told me today to tell my OBGYN immediately, and prescribed me levothyroxine while I wait to get ahold of her. When I did, she said that she will look at my TSH at my first appointment (one month away). But after reading I could have a miscarriage or other complications if I don’t get on it now, do I start taking it anyway? Or do I wait a month? Help please.

Back in the middle of March, I began having issues with my tongue. I’m always conscious of it, it always feels tense and uncomfortable. When I stick it out, it twitches. When I open my mouth and just look at it, it twitches. Talking and swallowing feels difficult and unnatural, I’ve had an on and off lisp. I keep biting the sides of my tongue when I talk and swallow. My tongue feels very fatigued and tired. It went away for a week or so at the beginning of April, but now it’s back. I just found out I’m pregnant, and I keep having these horrible thoughts that maybe I have Bulbar ALS and won’t be able to raise my child. Has anyone else ever experienced the tongue tension, twitching, lisp, and feeling like you forgot how to swallow? Or something similar? Are all of those things weakness?

Around the middle of March, I began having tongue issues. I’m always conscious of my tongue in my mouth: when I swallow, when I talk, when I’m resting, always. Nothing feels correct or comfortable. I have intense tongue tension, making it always feel fatigued and tired. This has caused me to check to see if it’s twitching, if I can say tongue twisters, to make sure it’s not getting weaker, and sticking it out side to side. It gave me a lisp for a week, then the lisp went away for almost two weeks, along with the tension. Now it’s the end of April, and all of the symptoms have came back: I’m always conscious of my tongue, it’s always tense, swallowing feels weird, talking feels difficult. I can’t stop Googling, checking it to make sure it’s not getting weaker. It’s ruining my life. I’m on a waiting list for OCD therapy, but I’m scared I’m getting worse. I just found out I’m pregnant and terrified I have ALS because of my Googling. I keep having horrible thoughts I might not make it to raise my child, and my brain keeps playing these messed up scenarios. Has anyone experienced this with their tongue? Or something similar?
