Defensive indifference question
I thought defensive indifference was when a runner advances in the middle of a plate appearance without any action from the catcher or the pitcher.
If I'm correct, can someone explain how Tatis Jr. was credited with a stolen base in the 2nd inning of the July 2nd game?

What is the warning/phrase about Diamond Shark merchants?
Was it "don't go swimming when there's blood in the water"?
Joshua Kuroda-Grauer final line vs Dodgers: MLB debut, 3-4, 2B, RBI
Not too shabby for a first game
Stat of the day: TIL that the Dodgers franchise leader for sac bunts also won the NL MVP with the Dodgers
No, not Kershaw, Newcombe or any of the other pitcher MVPs.
It's Jake Daubert, the first Dodger to win NL MVP (a first baseman, who won two batting titles for the Dodgers). Over 200 sac bunts.
Was thinking about how many Chuckie would need to be the franchise leader...super shocked that it was a position player and a fairly prominent one at that.
The best stat of the game on 6/27...
...Chuckie Robinson got to pinch hit for Ohtani, and gets to tell his grandkids that he did.
Would have been nice if he hit one out, but them's the breaks.

Also, Rodolfo Duran pitched the top of the 9th against the Dodgers
Dodgers Score Card from July ‘48
Was at a client’s house for work in New York.
Homeowner sees my Dodgers hat and asks if I’m a Dodger fan. I say yea and she scurried off into the other room, giggling.
She comes back 15 minutes later and says, “My husband was a huge Dodger fan. This is from when him and his father went to a game when he was a kid.”
Just thought these were a cool little glimpse into the past.

Scoring habits: conversing and other activities while scoring
So, for context, I only score at games I go to.
I think most play by play guys also score while they are calling the game, which amazes me since I don't really converse while I am scoring outside of high fiving for home runs.
Can you guys converse while scoring? Are there any other things you do concurrently while scoring?
EDIT: Maybe it would be easier to multitask if I used printed cards?
Question about scoring for historical games
For context, this question came up when I was reading about Joe DiMaggio's streak on wikipedia and then I came across this passage.
>(On May 18th, 1941) Browns catcher Frank Grube committed catcher's interference by contacting DiMaggio's bat with his glove during a swing, which resulted in a hit being awarded
When did catcher's interference count as hits?
Was there a time when catcher's interference was counted as a hit? If so, when did it change to being something that would lower on base percentage?
Podcasts about scoring games
So, I recently heard a broadcaster talk about scoring games on a podcast (context: https://open.spotify.com/episode/17QEb5s35tq6qyP3jzIDUz at about 21:00)
I understand that scoring games is probably quite common for broadcasters, but it was nice to hear one of them openly talk about it.
Do you all have any podcasts/media that you listen to (or even watch!) about our arcane hobby?
For those that score for fun...what are some of the things you don't like about scoring?
Like the title says, what do you not like about how you score?
Examples: (not in any order)
I really, really don't like having to put stuff near the bounding margins, cuz it's hard to get a writing utensil in there, such as pitching performance summation for the away team, or the names of the players on the home team.
After a big inning with multiple relievers, I really don't like figuring out who gets which earned runs.
And don't get me started on defensive plays that involve four or more transfers.
Hopefully it's a short list (because otherwise, why are we doing this?), but what are some of the things you don't like about your scoring system?
