My cousin may have broken his PS5 unknowingly and I dont know what to do to help him.

So I have a young cousin, age 11, who has always dreamed of having a Playstation console after hearing about the collection I was having, and after a year of pleading and begging to his parents, he finally got a PS5 Slim for his Christmas.

My cousin for many months left the PS5 turned off and only recently got it back on to play some of his physical games. Today he came to visit me and brought his PS5 to check what firmware the console was on. He told me before hand that the PS5 was disconnected from the internet and also played on it today (he last played Hogwarts Legacy).

He also brought all the cables the console came with, so I didnt need to give him some from my own devices. I tried connecting the PS5 to my main monitor and, although the console turned on, it started with a double beep (the one that usually comes from "Your PS5 wasn't turned off properly") and worst of it all, the screen showed nothing: the monitor captured no footage and entered sleep mode as a result. I got a bit confused, thought I need to switch the HDMI outputs around, but still the PS5 didn't show anything on the monitor. I didnt want to assume to worst, and hoped my monitor had trouble with displaying his PS5's screen, despite using the exact same monitor for my PS4 and fat PS5 and working just fine.

I decided to turn off the PS5 by holding the power button and once it was off, I moved the console to the TV in the living room where I turned it on once again, while connected to the HDMI output. To my horror the console did turn on, but there was static and loud noise coming from the TV and after a solid 6 seconds the screen lost connection. The PS5 remained on, no blinking light or anything like that, it was as if the console was on and well, although I couldn't hear the fan anymore.

I asked my cousin gently what he did today with the PS5 and he said to me he played Hogwarts Legacy with the internet off and then took the console from his TV and put it in his bag. I asked him if he shocked the console while in the bag (ie dropping the bag or hitting the bag while the console was inside) and he said he didnt.

He then told me step by step what he did the whole day: he turned on the PS5, played Hogwarts Legacy for 2 hours, put it to rest mode for a while (probably to go eat lunch) and then UNPLUGGED the PS5 WHILE IN REST MODE. My heart dropped but I got to ask him if he did any setting changes in rest mode (such as turning off wifi during rest mode) and he said he didnt meddle with the settings that much. I decided to tell him that the console may be broken (said it like that to not panic him too much) and that its not his fault, but he should be more careful in the future with how to handle the PS5 to avoid issues like this. Now whats most important is to see if the PS5 is fixable.

I am beyond scared and worried for him right now, because this happened so sudden. I dont blame him for being careless, as I am sure I was just as clumsy if not worse at his age with my Xbox 360, but as time went on I got to be more careful with my consoles (and even then I still did mistakes, lost my PS4 Pro completely and had to repair my Fat PS4), but I couldn't imagine this child's internal panic.

Can anyone help me with understanding what COULD be wrong with his PS5? I am wondering if either the console broke from being abruptly turned off during rest mode, or if the console was updating while in rest mode (given he only stopped the main wifi connection, not the rest mode setting) and broke the console because he unplugged it while updating.... I want to know how I can help him just in case the console has no warranty. I want to help make my cousin happy and try to find help to fix his console. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

TeRex777 got banned from PSN by connecting on a 10.20 PS5

For context, they are an active member in the jailbreaking scene, providing constant updates in regards to different jailbreaking methods on each firmware should something new come up, provide links to different updates done by people such as Gezine (even after Gezine's Twitter got suspended), TheOfficialFloW and Maximquaxd.

An hour ago, TeRex posted that their 10.20 PS5 got banned from PSN, and lost access to their digital library as a result. It appears he wanted to get Day One access to GTA 6 and dump it as soon as possible, judging by the fact he had it in his account before the ban, and the comments being upset at losing the Day One access.

Thought to share this here too because this reveals there are some people in the community who actively try to dump GTA 6, its just Sony being extra careful this time around with how things will be handled around the game's release.

How I imagine Project Libitina to start (hypothetical theory and game design discussion)

Hey everyone! I have been brainstorming ideas regarding Doki Doki for a while, as my interest in the game has been reignited (it somehow came back earlier this month; ironic given this month is the 5th anniversary to DDLC Plus. Happy birthday to that game btw) and I suddenly came up with probably a really neat idea for how Project Libitina could start, and make the game somewhat more impactful. Hope you enjoy this interesting random post.

HOW I IMAGINE PROJECT LIBITINA TO WORK, BASED ON THE HINTS WE HAVE GOTTEN SO FAR FROM TEAM SALVATO

I guess this is a good place to start with the post, as my vision for how Project Libitina could start is rooted in how I imagine the gameplay to function in the first place. As we know, Project Libitina is gonna take place in a "human experiment prison" where characters are highly advanced and reached a form of self awareness, shown by their actions, described in DDLC Plus. Monika mentions in her chr file message we can find in OG DDLC that our job in Project Libitina would be to go back and try to help the girls remember who they are in "that other world".

Based on that piece of information, the game seems more advanced than DDLC clearly is; as a reminder, Project Libitina was mentioned in DDLC Plus to be a "larger scale simulation" compared to Doki Doki.

I have a feeling the game will be somewhat similar to a horror survival game, where you have to sneak around the "prison" while avoiding detection, with lots of horror elements. Something like...

This game is terrifying in it's own right

Welcome to the Game.

A game where you explore the Dark Web, trying to solve puzzles while preventing your information from getting leaked and hiding from kidnappers that try to catch you. I imagine Project Libitina being somewhat similar to this, at the very least in terms of eeriness and spook factor. Avoid detection, gather information to solve the mystery.

HOW PROJECT LIBITINA IS TRULY KNOWN ON THE INTERNET (OUR REALITY)

This may be confusing a bit, so bare with me for a second.

Project Libitina has been teased through Doki Doki; as we all remember, the chr files of the Literature Club members contained hints at what this upcoming game has in store, and mixed with the easter eggs and dialogue text present in the game (ie Yuri's interactions with the MC during Act 2 primarily and some of the Special Poems) we can kinda get the idea that DDLC's story and Project Libitina's are interconnected, even if the titles are vastly different.

The final email you get in DDLC Plus that talks about VM1 and VM2

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! brought things to the next level with the whole "VM" environment, that mainly existed as a means for console players to mess with the game files and also unlock new secrets exclusive to this new version (such as the new files that open at certain times, and the mails we can gather as we progress to 100%). After we achieve 100% data collection, we can access VM2, which is said to be a connection attempt at "Project Libitina", done through Doki Doki's VM (which is said to be weaker, based on what it can and cannot do).

So far Project Libitina and Doki Doki have been connected in lots of ways. I remember people saying that Doki Doki, as a freemium game back in 2017, existed as a teaser for Project Libitina, which back then was a fair assumption. However, with the existence of Plus, its clear we need to have these two games connected with one another and see Project Libitina as a spiritual successor to Doki Doki; not an outright sequel (like how a Doki Doki 2 would sound), but also not fully separate games with separate lore and story from Doki Doki's.

HOW DOKI DOKI LITERATURE CLUB! IS SEEN IN METAVERSE'S REALITY

one of the secret text files you can access in DDLC Plus!

Through the new files present in DDLC Plus we learn that Doki Doki has been turned into a dating sim game by one of the people working at Metaverse (the creators of VM1 /DDLC and VM2/Project Libitina) and that DDLC in its original work format has been simply used to gather data collection in the form of txt data, or poems as they are in the actual game.

Monika aknowledges that she is also in a game, so this means that Doki Doki, even in the Plus! version is technically a game, the only difference being that the Plus version has the game in a VM, while the original release was done publicly. One of the lines Monika has altered in the Plus version is her lack of mentioning that the player could have known about her self awareness in advance by checking who wrote the game's download page description. This means that the DDLC build present inside VM1 is a private build that is not public, and just inside that one VM.

The other meta elements from Doki Doki, such as Monika's Twitter, are also explained inside the game's mails, where Metaverse found out someone in their team created lilmonix3. This means that unlike OG DDLC, where it is implied Monika herself created the Twitter account to connect to people (possibly post game deletion; she is shown to communicate with us after she does that, proven by her chr file discussion), while in Plus, the account was made as a joke. The MC's existence is explained in the mails as well, where its revealed that Monika created the MC as a user interface for her to interact with the player, compared to OG DDLC where the MC is bound to exist as the game is presented as a dating sim.

This all shows that Doki Doki as it is, has had elements of its original game altered so they can work in the new story that Team Salvato is going towards with Project Libitina.

Is this obvious? Yes, shown by most of the changes done between versions.

But does it change stuff so much that it eliminates the essence that made Doki Doki... Doki Doki? No, at least in my opinion.

If Team Salvato wants the two games to be connected in the whole Metaverse plot, as they are shown to want, they have to make adjustments that will help make sense with the dialogue present in the game.

Now... why did I even mention this? I did it because now we know that Doki Doki in-game is aknowledged as a game. Project Libitina is also aknowledged in-game as a game. The two games are linked to one another, and somehow need each other to exist for their connection to remain stable. VM2 is after all VM1 but improved and by all means stronger in terms of power.

When we try to run VM2 inside VM1 all we get is a string of text from VM2 before connection cuts off. This not only makes sense because VM1 is relatively weaker (proven by how it can only run a visual novel inside, and also having not much RAM; the devs added a technical joke with the 4TB of RAM, as the VM seems to run on the equivalent of a Motorola 68030 which is a 32bit processor; therefore the VM can only see 4GB of RAM overall) but also because VM1's way to collect information is through text data, which is what we see happening when we run VM2. This indicates that Project Libitina could be so advanced that VM1 can only gather strings of text, possibly dialogue from the game.

But... what if we do it the other way around? Can VM2 try to reach VM1 on their end?

I was watching Game Theory recently (I miss MatPat, okay?) and started to rewatch his and Steph's DDLC playthroughs, and reached their DDLC Plus playthrough. Mat mentioned at the beginning of DDLC Plus that when he first started the game for the first time, he was greeted by the regular Doki Doki menu, which left him confused. He then clicked "Exit" which led him to exit to the VM's desktop.

Similarly, when Bijuu Mike started playing DDLC Plus for the first time, he was also greeted by the regular game, which left him confused, as he didn't know where the additional content was gonna come into play. He then saw the "Exit" button (around Act 3, fittingly) and thats when he realized what the additional content was all about.

This was such a nice twist on the game's end, as not only does the "Exit" button not seem suspicious at first (given how it was added subtly with Plus; the original game had a Quit button), but also new players won't discover it until they realize they have to close DDLC ingame to reach the VM part and returning players first expected new content to be present inside regular DDLC, before noticing the new "Exit" button.

It was also a nice way to replay Doki Doki, given how it has been a hot minute since we first played the game, back in 2017; kinda like a "welcome back" greeting.

So, with all of these in mind, THIS is how I expect Project Libitina to start....

THE STARTUP TO PROJECT LIBITINA

Welcome to Project Libitina!

Well, here we are! THIS is Project Libitina... at least when you first start it.

I would LOVE if Project Libitina is showcased as a high quality on its store page, with ingame screenshots and also minimum requirement specs that show this game is more than DDLC was (I am mainly thinking of Portal or Outlasts specs for this comparision) and when you start the game, you just see DDLC yet again.

I would imagine the player is forced to play DDLC until a certain section. My mind decided to pick the BSOD moment in DDLC, but up until that point, strange things will happen. While playing the game, unlike DDLC and DDLC Plus, the game's graphics will decrease in quality a little bit, and there could be some notifications on screens that pop up saying "weak connection, please wait for better performance".

There will also be new spooky moments added such as Monika's "Can you hear me? Please help me" moment; After you click "Ok" the game will glitch unexpectedly. For a fraction of a second Monika will vanish from the screen and the screen will go black. The audio will cut off as well and then all of a sudden the game will pop up again and resume like nothing happened

After a while, you can exit the game and be brought to a desktop that unlike DDLC Plus', its not as welcoming. I expect the desktop to be black with maybe a bit of blue (as a reference to Metaverse's colour being blue), and having access to few programs on your desktop. There would be a folder on computer titled "Server" that when accessed, would bring you to DDLC's game files, where you can alter the game, as you can normally. The game however would NOT be present on the actual computer, but will run from a server, hence why there might be trouble with the connection to the game. You can then choose to continue playing the game or... do something else.

Once you reach the section needed, given how you can exit the game and check the desktop, there will also be an option to stand up. Standing up will allow you to move away from the computer and look around you, in your 3D environment. There will also be some text that will flash in front of you saying "Good, so the transfer was succesful. Don't think I am done with you just yet, I need you for something more". Thats when the game's true objectives will begin. You can always come back to the computer and resume playing Doki Doki, if you want to continue playing the game, and possibly based on your accomplishments (such as getting the good ending in DDLC or maybe getting to see all Special Poems you will gain extra information helpful for your objectives. You DO have to find the Literature Club members and try to help them remember their times in the other worlds after all. How could you help with that, unless you saw them in that other world and tried to reach out to them in VM2.

EXPLAINING MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT IN REGARDS TO THIS IDEA

Personally I would find it interesting if returning players would be greeted with the possibility to play DDLC a third time, albeit more as a joke this time. I am aware that there may be some confusions regarding how this can all work out, so I came up with some headcanons that can help make this concept make sense.

How could we play DDLC in VM2 (in game) in the first place?

VM1 and VM2 are mentioned to have been linked for a while, which allows VM1 to access text strings that allow VM1 to gather data process what could be going on inside VM2 based on those strings of text. VM2 on the other hand, being a more powerful VM (that could also maybe use more of the joke RAM that the devs added at the startup of DDLC Plus) it could not only provide a more solid connection overall, but maybe it could allow the game to run on a server from VM1 to VM2, with the computers (or maybe that one used by the player) being available to use to access more internal files from the VM structure of the game's reality. Think of it as how in TADC, Kinger can access the circus' actual files by simply using a computer made inside the circus.

the TADC computer being able to access the Circus' actual files.

Given how DDLC is a simulation-turned-game made inside VM1, and VM2 became Project Libitina by evolving on its own, I can see the connection VM2 would make to VM1 manifest as VM2 being able to run DDLC in its game format, similar to how maybe VM1 could run Project Libitina if it had more resources. VM's can be edited to only use a certain amount of power from the overall computer, so maybe VM1 has been given less resources to use, which fits with VM1 being used for a small scale simulation.

How does DDLC impact Project Libitina?

Back when DDLC Plus first got released, a theory surfaced, explaining how based on the information we have gotten, Monika managed to find a way to escape from the game and by doing that, got to see what was going on inside VM2. I imagine this maybe happening during the fake BSOD you can get from DDLC if you play in full screen and write the poems for Natsuki; Monika will try to show you the third poem which will glitch out, so perhaps that could be the moment when Monika does in fact escape... at least in some way. I imagine her transfer being incomplete this time around, as the "DDLC_ESCAPE_PLAN_FAILED" error pops up, but maybe the end result was Monika being halfway out. Kinda like how Glitchtrap was meant to be handled in Five Nights at Freddy's as a voice inside Vanessa's head as a result of the incomplete merge, resulting in Glitchtrap going the extra mile to torture Vanessa mentally until she becomes Vanny.

how I imagine Monika to communicate with the in game MC in VM2

I expect Monika to behave similarly to this idea, but she will be more understanding and compassionate, maybe apologize during certain times for urging us to do things, yet remain determined to understand whatever is going on. In game Monika will still be confused as to why the escape plan failed, but little did she knew, her could have actually worked. Heck, she didn't even know that inside her file there will be a message written by her future self for us, telling us what will happen in the future.

But... what about Ive?

For context, Ive Laster is a member of Metaverse, who decided to turn DDLC into a dating sim game and make a team inside Metaverse called "Team Salvation" for that purpose. According to theories, he is the guy that Monika takes control over, for her to get access to the real world. This time however Monika's control seems to have been complete, as Ive is described to act totally different from how he used to before he got taken over by Monika. It all seems to line up but...

Metaverse is in the real world (in game).

Doki Doki and Project Libitina are VMs in the real world (in game)

How would this work in the bigger picture?

Right now we have three layers of this game that we will uncover, from bottom to top:

*The third layer: VM1

This is DDLC's layer. The weakest VM, but also the one Metaverse underestimated the most, as Monika was able to create an escape plan without any trouble. Its also the weakest VM, hence why it is at the bottom of the list.

*The second layer: VM2
This is Project Libitina's layer. Technically this layer should be the same one as VM1's, but VM2 is above simply for the fact it is a more powerful VM. VM2 can create a stable connection on their end to VM1, see inside the VM properly and access its contents just fine. Monika is able to transfer her self to some extent into Project Libitina's main character and give them directions and guide them to where they have to go.

*The third layer: Metaverse/Our Reality

This is the part that gets tricky. This is our actual reality, mine and yours. I imagine this game being somewhat similar to Five Nights at Freddy's Help Wanted, where despite the fact we play as Vanessa throught the game, we technically still play the game ourselves. We are immersed into the experience and get to enjoy it for ourselves.

another game with the player's immersion inside the reality of their game

Given how Doki Doki also deals with a lot of deep hidden meanings and plot twists, I would like to imagine that in reality, we are Ive Laster, playing Project Libitina, as if we are Monika, playing the game to solve the mysteries of the experience and understand our reality more. We KNOW we have to go back and save the others and help them remember but how can we do that, when this is all new to us. Which is where the second Monika, the one inside Project Libitina, comes into play, and tells us where we should go, as a simple guiding voice, that has no other additional control. The real Monika however, the one that DOES have full control, can choose to guide the protagonist to where Project Libitina Monika wants us to go. Its more of a spiritual thing, if that makes sense, because at the end of the day, we ARE doing what Monika wants us to do. We know what her objective is and how we should approach the mission to help win the game.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This has been a very trippy post, but I am glad I was able to share my thoughts on how I think Project Libitina could start at the very beginning of the game, and how it can work in the story that Team Salvato has written so far. Tell me what are your thoughts on this whole idea and if it sounds plausible or not!

Gonna go to bed now, hope everyone has a nice day ahead of them!!!

Genuine question: whats on the file size inside unreleased games/shut down games?

With the whole craze surrounding GTA 6's preorders finally being available, I decided to check the store page for the game just so I could check the screenshots posted and the description of the game. Half jokingly, I decided to check the "capabilities" tab from the game's page and I saw that the game has a "300 MB" file size already available.

1000% this will get updated once the actual game comes out, as there are convos on the game being over 100 GB anyways, but I also checked other announced games with preorders available, such as Persona 4 Revival and Resident Evil Veronica, and both games have "300 MB" in terms of storage.

This also applies to games who just have a store page but no other option available but adding to the wishlist (such as Persona 6) and also Beta builds of already released games, such as BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle (which shut down for obvious reasons, their official games have since come out so there is no reason to have both the beta and release builds active at the same time).

I have a suspicion it is just filler/junk files to have something inside the store page just in case; this is proven by the "10 MB" file size for the PC version of the games mentioned above (which is most likely just the exe file and nothing else), but out of pure curiosity, has anybody figure out what is actually in these 300 MB files??

Are there any userland exploits available for 13.00?

I have a PS5 on firmware 13.00 awaiting a possible jailbreak from the community, like many others have been, and I was wondering something I don't particularly understand. Modded Warfare has been making this list when talking about userland exploits on PS5, including mentioning Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers and Star Wars: Racers Revenge being available and working on firmware 13.xx . I am aware that the exploits are mainly userland and not kernel ones, but still, given how they are labelled like this, do they also work on firmware such as 13.00???

The question started to come out because MW made videos on SWRR up to 12.70 and similarly to AS:TNC, which he then pushed forward on the list as "13.xx", but didnt show it in action or anything like that.

Didnt want to seem impatient, but I was just confused by the whole situation, so I was hoping to get some clarification on how this is all working. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Atlus knows damn well why they cannot show the "Mona Lisa" in their footage :3

This is from "Persona 4 Revival Broadcast"; I did notice the lack of cabbages in the video, but I instantly knew the reason behind the lack of Mona Lisa so far in Atlus' teasers.

They already Persona 3'd themselves in the foot with showing Nanako a couple weeks ago. I call it an instinctive decision that now legally forbids Atlus from properly displaying any sprites of Mona Lisa until the final game has been released from the dungeons.

Bijuu Mike also addressed the Yandere Simulator situation and deleted his videos as well...

This all happened overnight for me; it was 3 am for me when the video dropped, which could hint at the situation happening even earlier in the night to get rid of the videos. Out of 508 videos, only 10 are still up.

This is crazy to me. I feel beyond bad for Mike especially because his channel alone has been dedicated to Yandere Sim the most. I love Kubz Scouts and the videos he made, but back in 2021 when I was thinking about YouTube YanSim, Mike was the first one to come to mind. This series and his DDLC ones are the biggest on his channel, so him having to delete his entire series, the one that esentially madd him known on the internet (for better or worse) is beyond terrible, and I blame YouTube's AI for going after hardworking content creators instead of slop channels and content creators that repost their videos over a hundred times on the platform for views.

Yesterday I was actively downloading most of content creators' videos from YanSim and planned to have Bijuu Mike last, because he had 500+ videos which would have taken massive space on my storage. I am beyond sorry I couldn't get his videos in time. I feel beyond bad about it, as this is all happened over the span of 72 hours overall.

I have created an archive.org page for YouTubers' YanSim videos

I never thought I would step back on this subreddit again, but hey everyone, its been a while. I have been a fan of Yandere Simulator in 2020-2022, a time during which I enjoyed the concept the game had in mind and the potential of the game, not the developer. For the longest time Alex has given me the biggest ick possible and I never once in my life supported him or his actions, especially after what has happened in 2023. When the allegations surfaced I felt beyond ashamed to have been such a big fan of this videogame that I fully removed any mention of Yandere Sim from my socials and unfollowed anything YanSim related, including this subreddit. It was just that bad.

Still, I recently got loads of posts from this subreddit out of nowhere from content creators saying how their channels got nuked all of a sudden for having years old Yandere Sim videos on their channels, which recently just got demonitized, blocked or even hit with the copyright hammer for breaking YouTube guidelines. This has been a prevalent issue pushed forward on socials such as X/Twitter where content creators have all of a sudden stopped getting monetized on their channels for the dumbest reasons and TeamYouTube not responding to any messages sent to them. It looks like YouTube's copyright team got replaced by an AI that has decided to go over the content showcased in Yandere Simulator due to the violent nature of the game; an issue that up until 2025 has pretty much been nonexistent, especially in later years with the "age-restricted" videos and YouTube Kids being the platform that SHOULD be used by children before going to regular YouTube.

As a result of these takedowns, content creators have started to delete their Yandere Simulator videos off of their channels to avoid demonitizations or even copyright strikes, which I find to be unfair. These content creators have been abundandly clear not supporting Alex Mahan or his actions, and stopped once the allegations against him became serious. But if anything, this is proof over how much YouTube has changed over the years, and not in a good way at all.

As a result of this, I have decided to make an archive.org page where I will try to upload as fast as possible as many Yandere Simulator clips as I can. At the moment this archive page is in the process of being made, but here is the link to it, so you can access it once its done:

https://archive.org/details/yandere-simulator-youtubers-archive

The decision has come as a result of these videos risking to become lost media, which sadly is alreadu the case; YouTuber Kubz Scouts has recieved takedowns on his Yandere Simulator videos recently, which pushed him to private or outright delete most of his videos, and today it was shown that his entire playlist of Yandere Simulator videos is no longer available. We lost 279 videos in total all because of YouTube's shitty AI. I have managed to archive 38 of his videos, all in the highest quality available, but I am bitter that I couldn't get a hold on the rest sooner. I remember seeing the discussions of other people's channels being deleted and going "huh, I should archive before its too late", but then I got hit with this incident. Sucks real bad.

If you want to contribute to the expansion of this archive, please don't hesitate to DM me. So far I have downloaded all of LaurenZside's, Markiplier's and CoryxKenshin's. Up next I will archive Yammy's, Gloom's, Jacksepticeye's and Bijuu Mike's, which will be the hardest to archive, as he has over 500 videos regarding YanSim, but I will try to splice it in chunks to avoid massive difficulty with this. I hope I will be able to archive all of them, because with what is going here right now... this is madness.

Yandere Simulator may be a flawed game, but these people have put their heart and soul to make content around this game and share it with us, making us laugh every single time they would post a new video, surprise us with their editing, and makng is enjoy Yandere Simulator even more. All of that hard work, effort and memories are at risk of getting destroyed, just because of a stupid AI. Please don't hesitate to contribute and help as much as possible!

Edit: I have finally managed to post the page up! Wayback has trouble creating a page if you insert big files during the upload, so I first created a blank text with the page creation and then added the zip files for the YouTubers I am confident I have all their videos of! Markiplier and Cory's videos are on the archive page, while Kubz Scouts is still being made at the moment, as I managed to find over 100 more videos from him saved online, which I will credit the original source at, and will add them to the archive to ensure they stay somewhere on the internet. The more these videos get saved the better!

Bruh why did I think this was female Joker😭🥀

This is official artwork posted by Atlus in regards to Persona 5's Special Big Band Concert Asia Tour 2026, which showcased the Phantom Thieves in grand outfits. I remember seeing the Makoto, Futaba, Haru, Akechi and Kasumi post first 6 days ago, but didnt think too much about it. Today I randomly opened Instagram and saw the first post with Ryuji, Morgana, Ann, and Yusuke and... this short curly haired girl; my first thought process was

"Damn, did Atlus decide to drop a FEMC Joker just like that?"

... till I noticed this was actually *our* Joker and not FEMC Joker. I was beyond flabbergasted when I figured out😭😭🥀

The art is great and all Phantom Thieves look very sick in the posts, just thought this would be a random occurence worth sharing that I personally found hilarious.

I was today years old when I realized how hot Yu actually is

I have been a Persona fan for 5 years at this point, playing most of the games and enjoying the stories of the games overall. However, for some dumb reason I didnt pay too much attention to Yu as a character like I did with Makoto and Joker. Then again, I didnt pay much attention to the protagonists' designs at all, and pretty much had Makoto and Joker at the top because I played Persona 3 Portable and Persona 5 Royal the most.

However, when I was watching the trailer for Persona 4 Revival I noticed how Yu stood out much more and afterwards I decided to check the gallery for Yu for the first time in years and looked at all the art made about him.

Bro stands out ao much in artwork compared to his 3d game model its insane! He has the biggest charm I have seen from a Persona protagonist by far, bro has literally swept me off my feet hard.

This profound moment has awaken my deep in slumber excitement for P4R simply to see Yu with the updated model. By far my favorite design after a long while.

Please tell me this isn't real

Just saw this image from "the social media that shall not be named" (albeit its a ss from instagram) and I baffled by the wording of Straffi. Granted, we all know the concept images and designs of the reboot were done by AI, with the animation outsourced by a third party Chinese team, but this is way too... in our face?

I really don't know how to take it, is this actually real? What post is this from, wtf???

Not gonna lie, I pray this is edited and not real, because otherwise I am beyond shocked. Didnt expect my childhood to be treated like this.

Edit: Holy shit, its fucking real , this is Forever Podcasts story.

Here is the original post with Straffi's comment. . I am beyond shocked, I need a bit of time to get over this man's attitude towards the community and fans.

Looking for a piece of score from the game (possible spoilers)

Hey everyone, new fan here! I just finished my first run of Detroit Become Human and it has become one of my most favorite games of all time; i really really loved the characters, the story and especially the music score.

I was looking for one of my favorite scores from the game, specifically when >! Connor tries to get to the emergency exit at the end of "Battle for Detroit" while he is in the Zen Garden !< . I just love the little choir effect the score has during that moment.

I have extracted the sound files from the game using a program found on GitHub, but the folders overall seem very chaotic, with small chuncks of scores and sound effects being in the same folder as bigger scores, and said folders being named based on characters and places, not chapters. I am also gonna add the link to a clip from when the soundtrack plays (credit to @VideoGameSophistry for the footage), hopefully someone can help me see where to exactly look for the audio file in question. The score is from the end of the gane so I decided to add spoiler marks just in case.

Thanks to anyone who responds in advance!

Would buying a game on my PS4 and moving it to the PS5 work?

This is a question that I have been having for a while, but I am curious to see if it would work before I try to do it. I have a PS5 that is on firmware 13.00 and I am waiting for its jailbreak to come. If by any chance there is a game that gets released for PS5, like Arcade Spirits or A Year of Springs, can I buy the game on a retail PS4, wait one month for the DRM check to pass, then move it to an extended drive and insert said extended drive to my PS5? Or will the console not let me open the game because on the PS5 in particular there is no history of that game being mine to use, so it locks out because it does not have a proper license?

Ftr I already have games like Star Wars Racers Revenge and Lua Demo Games installed, but I wanna cover my grounds as much as possible for when there will be a possible exploit.

A review on the VR port for Secret of the Mimic

Hey everyone! This may be a redudant post, as I have my suspicions that people have already talked about this, but the internet discussions I ran into regarding my particular issues with SOTM VR have been only present in comments. So I decided to make a post talking about this in more detail.

Introduction

To start, I wanna say that Secret of the Mimic, at launch, was one of the most polished FNAF games to date that I have played. I got the privilege to play Security Breach at launch on the PS4, and Ruin shortly after it came out also on the PS4, so I can say from personal experience that game was more polished then its predecessors. The story was good, the main antagonist felt terrifying and disturbing and the mechanics simple enough. It literally was what Security Breach was supposed to become after it shift from Survival Mode to Story Mode. One of my favorite FNAF games for delivering what it promised to deliver, not over or under perform.

However the VR port... my god, what is this.

tHe vR eXpErIEnCe

I have a RTX 4060 Ti for GPU and Intel 9 11th Gen for CPU. I can run Spider Man Remastered on high graphics without stuttering and Cyberpunk 2077 with ease. I can play both Security Breach and Secret of the Mimic on high settings, and as a result can play VR games as well without any problems. My computer has 32GB of RAM for goddamn sake.

But for some reason, whenever I try to play SOTM VR, the game starts well enough, no stutters or any issues like that, but after the game attempts to load into a new area, my whole game freezes and lags intensely. This is showcased on my monitor as the game freezing and in some instances zooming in the top left corner and inside my headset as the front area (the side I was looking towards before the game froze) and around the front area there are distorted visuals, glitchy textures and deloaded areas of the map; at one point my game froze during the outside area of MCM and the hills in the distance deloaded and the trees stayed suspended in the air. At first I thought this issue was coming from my PC, and my first suspicion was I may have overheated my computer, but during one of these freezes Dispatch had one of their long monologues/expositions, and the audio was still playing, albeit after long breaks, and the subtitles were following my headset rather then getting stuck in place with the front area. There is also a hourglass that appears inside the headset to indicate something is loading.

Immediately after I stopped playing the VR port after 2 hours of trying to make it work, I played both FNAF VR 1 and Help Wanted 2 and both games ran just fine; VR 1 was played from the Oculus store and Help Wanted 2 from Steam, so both games ran seamless. I then played regular SOTM to see if it would run, and it ran just fine, no freezes or stutterings; its just the VR port that does this.

One more thing I noticed is that my computer for the first time since I owned it (which is 2 years as of 2026), when I am starting this game, the fan gets so loud my computer sounds like a plane about to get ready for take off. To further add, after two hours of attempted runs into SOTM VR, with the highest I could get being up to Big Tops area, my computer was hot-hot. I had at one point to stop playing at all on my computer because I got scared I could actually break it if I kept going and left my PC to cool for 8 hours. When I got back, I could resume the game, but not for long, as the game froze again and my computer once again started to make airplane noises.

What I think is going on

My assumption is on what is going has to do with the loading of the game. VR games by nature are more demanding than regular PC games, if this wasn't obvious enough. Games like FNAF VR and Help Wanted 2 use very basic maps to load the player into, and the "minigame" format of these games allows the game to load the player during the black screen transitions, deload the previous map entirely and load the new map from the very beginning. Security Breach and Secret of the Mimic have a different loading system given the nature of these two games. In case you remember, Security Breach at launch had issues loading certain areas, which allowed players to go through deloaded rooms, and as a result, skip certain cutscene events at best or fall off the map at worst. This later got fixed in the game by forcing the player to stop moving while a Helpy gif is in the bottom right corner of the screen until the game finishes loading the next area and deloads the furthest area away from the player.

Secret of the Mimic, ie the smaller but better Security Breach runs the exact same way as its predecessor. Although there are some Data Diver areas that get loaded by using the DD (similar to the SB elevators), the game also loads and deloads areas while you go around the map you are in. So for some reason, Devoted Studios (the guys behind thr VR port) failed to make the game loaf properly in VR which pushes the game to freeze itself until the loading is finished, except the game keeps failing the loading attempt. I say this because the hourglass I mentioned above is also present when playing HW 1 and HW 2 on PCVR; to be more specific, it pops up when the game is loading one of the selected levels, except in those games' cases, the hourglass is on the screen for 1-2 seconds, not full on minutes with distorted visuals around you.

I looked on the internet to see if I can find the exact issue I ran into and saw this discussion topic between VR game developers working in Unity that talked about this freezing issue, and one of them explained where this problem seemed to come from:

"Fixed this issue by unchecking “Error Pause” in the Console window. Apparently that was enabled and auto-paused every time I was in play mode because there were minor errors in the console. Hope this helps"

I have a suspicion this is why Devoted chose to base the VR port off of the Switch version instead of using the PC files. I have a feeling they were aware of the performance issues while working on the port and assumed that the usage of a low res port for the game will fix the issue. I ALSO say this because I tried to play SOTM VR with the lowest settings available and the game still refused to run at all, it kept on running into the freezing issue, everywhere but the main menu. Crazy :)

Conclusion

What this entails is that, for me at least, the PCVR port is unplayable as it is currently which sucks, because I have a Quest 2 perfectly capable of playing other VR games (and honestly more demanding games while at it) and a perfectly functional gaming PC. This is the ONLY VR game I ever had trouble playing and it pains that a game as good as SOTM can recieve such a poor update. This is the worst port I have ever seen, and the three weeks worth of wait were not worth it in my opinion. I really hope Steel Wool get to try and fix this because otherwise its useless to have a different game mode that suffers from unplayability of this degree.

1/10, SIMPLY for booting into the main menu without any issues. Beyond dissapointed with my experience...

Can anyone help me understand what is exactly wrong with my PS4? (flashing lights warning!l

Long story short I have this base PS4 for about 5 years, bought it from someone who sold it because according to them he had no reason to keep it anymore. While using the console I noticed some issues such as the console's screen flashing in some cases, and my original assumption was that the cable used for the console to connect to the monitor was broken, although it did cause situations such as my PS4 shutting down as a result of the screen flashing or triggering a Blue Light of Death.

Eventually I switched the HDMI cable and for the longest time the console seemed to work just fine. Until recently the console started to act up again, so I tried to change the HDMI cable once again, but the console keep having the screen stuttering. The console is also not overheated, just a bit warm from being turned on, and also seems to work just fine, as the controller is responsive and I can switch the profiles, which changes the color of the controller.

Can anyone help me understand what is exactly wrong so I can fix the issue, please?

What are your thoughts on the Phantom Thieves' Shadows?

(Note: there seems to be no Shadow Akechi at all shown in the P5 or P5R and I picked Violet's pick due to how it first with the other shadows in the photo).

I have taken a big break from playing Persona games given how I mostly played and replayed them around 2021-2023 before experiencing a massive burnout due to the nature of the games, and after coming back to the game I realized just how nice the implementation of the Phantom Thieves's Shadows is in this game.

For a game that had a brand new story and a new cast of characters, I absolutely adored the callbacks to the old Persona games, such as Futaba's awakening and the shadow negotiations. The latter especially, it felt like it matched with the theme of the story, that being punishing the criminals and making sure the innocent get saved.

I absolutely ADORE that the shadow's voices are most, if not all the times the voice actors' natural voices, it creates a clear contrast between the outward and inner selves of the characters, and how in the process of the awakening, the real counterparts of the Phantom Thieves merge with their shadow selves, hence the yellow eyes. The process of accepting their shadow selves is akin to P4's the only difference is that the Phantom Thieves don't outright deny their true selves, but embrace it when for them it feels like their whole world is falling apart.

The shadows esentially give them the tough love speech of "I feel your pain, but you need to take action now for your sake". The Phantom Thieves also didn't outright reject their true selves either, they always knew who they truly were, but due to society's expectations, they felt the need to hide their true selves.

When I first played Persona 5 Royal, my favorite awakening used to be Ann's because of how tragic her character felt at the beginning and the shadow telling her to avenge Shiho's circumstances. But after 5 years, I can oficially say that Haru has by far the best awakening. I simply relate to her the most in terms of her arc of knowing when to put herself first and betray those who harm her, regardless of how close they are to her.

I LOVE this game, its absolutely the perfect mix of new content with lots of callbacks, its beyond fascinating. What is your favorite Shadow Self from the Phantom Thieves?

You guys think my PS2 is mad for stacking books on it?

Now in all seriousness, I have been trying to clean my shelf and reorganize some of the contents in it, and I thought I could try to save some space (not much) by stacking some books on my fat PS2. I read in some places that it is okay to do this, but I want to make sure it is okay before I turn this beautiful baby on 👁👄👁

The books aren't that heavy either, pretty light weight.

Does anyone have a download link for the original P5 Reimagined mod?

For context, there was a mod around 2021 for the original P5 that featured new content for the game, with new bosses, custom personas and modified mechanics.

When Royal released, the creator of the mod took down the P5 Reimagined page and uploaded the Persona 5 Royal Reimagined (or P5 R2) page, but that only works with the Royal version of the game.

Does anyone have the original P5 Reimagined mod from back when it was available?

Hello! I am awaiting the jailbreak for 13.50 when the time for that will come, as I have a bunch of games installed from PSN that I would like to dump.

The account from which I downloaded the games is set to primary account on PS4 so I was wondering how often do I need to turn on my PS4 to have the licenses still active. I dont want to leave the PS4 turned off for too long and when I decide to turn it on I lose the licenses because of the CMOS battery reseting after being off for too long.

Hello y'all! I am looking for some tips on how to exactly mod a Nintendo DS game that I have been playing for a while, Winx Club: Quest for the Codex. I want to create a mod that full on changes the game's dialogue, changes renders of the game and allows me to modify the 3D models of the game to give the characters new designs. I haven't seen that many discussions around this topic so I was wondering what are the first steps I should focus on to mod the game as intended.

Thanks so much to anyone who responds in advance!
