Pretty new to sewing and wanted to share. Thrifted an OCDB to use for the inner liner fabric. Opened the top seam up, removed the handles, sewed a liner, and then sewed it in. Proud to say it looks good and fits too!

Open to all suggestions for this pairing:
• Casual blue-striped OCDB
• Casual olive fatigue style pants

Another OOTD as a middle school teacher. First time trying a ”Ralph tuck.”

This year finds me starting year 20 as a middle school teacher. Of course, I’ve been through all the teacher fashion trends for the average male teacher: the laid back look, the athletic polos, the golf pants, etc.

Now, almost 100lbs lighter, I also find myself with an entirely new wardrobe of classics.

Here was my first day back. Happy to receive many positive comments.

These are at my natural waist.

I hemmed them myself, seen in the second pic.

Thoughts on the fit?

Any hints on making this tacking stitch to this fold? I can hand sew and also have a machine.

I’m open to any suggestions.

Three of the same plants “LSU Cherry Bomb” have been in the ground this entire season, grown in pots last year. Each plant is about four feet tall and has good branching and growth habits.

They’ve set a fair amount of fruit, but they’ve all grown to about the size of a cherry tomato and have kind of stalled.

Am I missing something?

Feeling adventurous and picking up ties that speak to me. Thoughts?

Got these Sperry Newton Heritage chukka boots for a steal with clearance and coupons.

What makes them “heritage” though? I see the veg tan midsole and welted construction. They also appear to be natural veg tan leather.

Picked up this used watch for a good price, but the Velcro band has to go.

Any recommendations on a leather strap besides black?
