Anyone in here leaving China or have left for home/another country? I’ve been here 7 years and I’m ready for something new but leaving feels impossible. Life is really good here and it feels insane choosing to leave, but the constant staring and picture taking + loneliness has started to add up. Job market is shit worldwide so it feels like you should stay. Even if you’re kinda miserable.

I am here in Ubud and I think alot of you are unnecessarily harsh. Yes there’s traffic in the main area, but no one said you had to stay there. Calling places ruined is rude. Locals still love, pray, live, and die here. And a lot of people who call it “ruined” contributed to the problems they’re complaining about. I chose to stay far out and it’s been quiet most of my trip. Bali is beautiful. Does the government need to step in? Absolutely! But YOU choose the experience you have in Bali. If you want quiet, cultural, good beaches etc you need to research and plan to your wants. You can’t want peace and go to Canggu. That’s on you.
