Happy Independence Day from the newest condo in Sunset Park
Just planted the Old Glory this week, I think. Probably the highest flag in Sunset.
Also, has anyone tried the Dim Sum at Grand Royal Palace yet? I’m thinking about checking it out.
The Cheapest Rent in Sunset Park
Can't beat free.
It’s a shame to see the state of the Great Elm in the center of the park. After they removed the major horizontal branches a few years ago, a massive hollow has formed on the underside, it’s big enough to fit a cat inside. Given the condition, it looks like it might be suffering from Dutch Elm disease. It feels like we may only have it for another decade or so, so definitely make sure to appreciate this tree while you still can.
The Pillars of Precipitation
Sunset park is next to the water so it also has the best cloud formation as well as the best sunsets.

Fire Rainbow in Sunset Park
I was walking along and saw this insane phenomenon from the park. It was in the news too. Apparently, it's ice crystals. Looks like a tear in the space time continuum.
Kentucky Yellowwood
I was strolling through the park this week and realized there was a amazing smell from the 41st street side. Turns out that the Kentucky Yellowwood trees that line that side of the park are blooming and it's basically like lilacs but less strong but since there are so many trees it smells like Tide fresh linen x10000. They also make a great arcade that you can walk through that's kind of like yellow white cherry blossoms. It's only gonna last another week or so.
The most beautiful Target in the world

Sith Lightsaber Sun in Sunset Park
The Sunset was crazy today because of the poor air quality and elevated ozone pollution. On the plus side this made the sun a surreal color. The sun was bloody red. No filter. There were an insane amount of hipsters in the park too.
