Can you listen to the same song on repeat for an hour?

I can listen to the same few songs in rotation for an hour, but I don’t think I could play just one song over and over for that long.

Even if I really love a song, I still need a little variety. Do you ever put one song on repeat, or do you usually rotate through a few favorites?

How many times do you have to see someone before you remember their face?

When I first started a part-time job in food service, I wondered if I was just bad at remembering faces. I was so busy learning everything that I barely had time to really look at the customers.

When a takeout order was ready, I’d sometimes look up and think, “Wait, who was this for?” At first, I actually started remembering people by what they were wearing instead of their faces.

Once I got more comfortable with the job, I started recognizing faces much more easily. But even now, if I’ve only seen someone once or twice, there are times when I don’t remember them.

Does that mean I’m just not very good at remembering faces, or is this pretty normal?

Face wash before or after brushing teeth?

I have always washed my face first and then brushed my teeth. But I recently heard that toothpaste residue can actually cause breakouts around your mouth if you do not wash your face afterwards. Now I am wondering if I need to completely switch up my morning routine. What order do you guys usually do this in?

Have you ever stayed awake all day to reset your sleep schedule, only to feel wide awake at night?

My sleep schedule was completely messed up, so one time I decided to stay awake all day so I could go to bed early that night.

By around 8 p.m., I was so tired that I thought I’d finally be able to fall asleep at a normal time. I kept telling myself to stay awake just a little longer so I could sleep really well.

But the later it got, the more awake I started to feel. My eyes stopped feeling heavy, and somehow I went from barely being able to stay awake to not feeling sleepy at all.

Has this ever happened to you when you tried to fix your sleep schedule?

What do you guys do when your eyes feel dry and tired?

Lately, my eyes have been feeling really dry and tired, especially after spending a lot of time looking at screens. Sometimes they feel heavy and irritated by the end of the day.

What helps you when your eyes get like this? Do you use eye drops, warm compresses, take more screen breaks, or have any other habits that actually make a difference?

Would love to hear what works for you!

Putting my keys in the exact same spot every single day has been a total game changer.

I used to lose my mind every morning tearing my apartment apart looking for my keys. It was honestly so exhausting. Now I just drop them in a little bowl by the door the second I walk in. It takes literally zero effort. But my mornings are so much more chill now. Highly recommend doing this if you also have zero object permanence like me.

What’s the best way to take care of yourself when you have a cold?

I think I’m coming down with a cold and I’m wondering what usually helps people recover the fastest.

I have some congestion, a sore throat, and just feel more tired than usual. I’m trying to rest as much as possible, but I’m curious what else I should be doing. Do you usually focus on staying hydrated, drinking something warm, getting extra sleep, or taking any over-the-counter medicine?

I’d love to hear what actually works for you when you have a cold and what you tend to avoid.

How do you actually stop putting off tiny tasks that only take a few minutes?

I have realized that I am totally fine with tackling big projects, but I constantly procrastinate on the smallest things like answering a quick email or organizing my desk. I know about the rule where you should immediately do anything that takes less than two minutes, but in the moment, my brain still finds a way to delay it. Has anyone successfully rewired their habit to just do these tiny tasks right away instead of letting them pile up into a massive chore? I would love to hear what practical mindset shifts actually worked for you guys.

How sensitive are you to small sounds or lights when you sleep?

I’m pretty sensitive when I sleep. Once I notice a ticking clock or a small light in the room, I keep noticing it and it gets harder to fall asleep.

I usually end up covering the light or moving whatever is making the sound. Can you sleep with little noises or lights around, or do you need the room to be completely dark and quiet?

Is going too long without eating bad for your health?

Lately, I’ve been going for pretty long periods without eating, and I’m starting to wonder if having such a long fasting period is actually bad for my health.

I don’t necessarily feel terrible, but sometimes I get really hungry, low on energy, or a little shaky when I finally eat. I’m not intentionally doing an extreme fasting routine, but my schedule has made my time between meals longer than usual.

For people who have experienced this, is there a point where going too long without food becomes unhealthy? Should I be trying to eat something small even if I’m not particularly hungry, or is it generally fine as long as I’m getting enough food and nutrients throughout the day?

I’d love to hear how others manage long gaps between meals.

Does knowing too much about a movie make you less likely to watch it?

I prefer watching movies without knowing any major plot details in advance.

But with really popular movies, it can be hard to avoid finding things out even if I plan to watch them later. If I end up knowing too much about what happens, I sometimes lose interest and never get around to watching.

How about you? Can you still enjoy a movie when you already know a lot about what happens?

Do you guys apply deodorant right after a night shower or wait until the morning

I always shower at night and I am really curious about what everyone else does for their routine. I usually just wait until the morning to put it on before getting dressed, but I recently read that applying antiperspirant at night right after a shower actually gives it time to absorb and makes it work way better the next day. I tried it and it definitely seems to work, but it also feels a little weird putting it on just to get into bed. Do you guys swear by the night method or just stick to the morning, and have you actually noticed any real difference in how well it holds up?

Finally hit my very first strict push-up today and I am so hyped

I have been doing negatives and knee push-ups for what feels like forever and I honestly thought I would never get a full one. But today I decided to just test it out and actually managed to do one with solid form. It is a super small milestone compared to what you guys do here but I am just really happy about it.

Should I just keep doing a mix of negatives and singles to build up my numbers now or is there a better way to increase reps from here? Any advice for a beginner is totally appreciated.

Can a fear of bugs get better over time?

I’ve always been scared of bugs, but recently a pretty large cricket got into my home while I was alone. I couldn’t deal with it myself, so I ended up asking someone I know to come over and get rid of it.

It’s gone now, but ever since then I keep checking the floor, walls, and even the ceiling when I walk around my home. Sometimes even a small pattern or an object lying around makes me think it’s a bug, and I get startled.

The way that cricket looked still pops into my head sometimes, and I get chills all over whenever it does. This experience made me realize that my fear is much stronger than I thought.

Can you actually get used to this kind of fear over time? I’m curious if anyone who used to be extremely afraid of bugs eventually became less scared of them.

Do you drink a lot of water every day?

I've been trying to drink more water because I keep hearing that staying well hydrated is good for your overall health.

I carry a tumbler (water bottle) with me pretty much everywhere so it's easier to remember to drink throughout the day.

Do you make an effort to drink enough water, or do you usually forget? Has drinking more water made any noticeable difference for you?

DAE leave clean dishes on the drying rack and just use them from there?

After washing the dishes, I leave them on the drying rack. Even after they’re dry, I often use them straight from the rack instead of putting them in the cupboard.

I usually put them in the cupboard only when I need more space on the rack.

Do you put dry dishes away right away, or leave them on the rack until you use them again?

Is there anything that actually helps with a sore throat?

My throat has been hurting for the past day or so, and I'm not sure if it's just the start of a cold or something else.

Swallowing is uncomfortable, and it's been bothering me throughout the day. I don't really have many other symptoms yet, but the sore throat just won't go away.

What do you usually do when you have a sore throat? Any home remedies, drinks, foods, or over-the-counter medicines that actually help?

I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

DAE feel the need to clear every notification badge on their phone?

Some people can have dozens or even hundreds of unread notifications on their phone and barely notice them.

Others can’t stand seeing even a single red badge and prefer to keep their home screen completely clear.

Do you clear notification badges as soon as they appear, or let them pile up for days?

Thinking about signing up for a 10k race but terrified

I started running a few weeks ago and can barely do 3k without dying right now. My friends are trying to drag me into a 10k race next month and I am so torn. Part of me wants the medal and the experience, but the other part is terrified of finishing last or getting injured. I know that walking is always an option, but I really want to be able to run at least most of it if I actually sign up. Have any of you successfully jumped from a 3k distance to a full 10k in just one month? What was your training schedule like, and how did you mentally prepare for the sudden jump in distance? Did you follow a specific run-walk interval plan that worked well? Any advice, training tips, or gear recommendations for a total beginner would be absolutely awesome.
