The 2 biggest examples I can think about where you have enemy healers that do not pose a direct threat themselves are Chapter 10 - Two Sorcerers from (New) Mystery of the Emblem and to some extent Chapter 22 - Solo from Path of Radiance.
In New Mystery, if you finished the chapter and spared all of the Clerics you get a Silver Card (except on Lunatic. On these screenshots I am playing on Maniac). In Path of Radiance, if no Bishops were killed, you get an Ashera Staff which is like a super Fortify.
But what if the game didn't reward you at the end? Would you still kill them for XP or for spite as they are enemies? Or do you spare them as they are nothing but unarmed curators on the opposing side?
Personally, even I didn't get anything as valuable as the Silver Card or the Ashera Staff, I'd still let them go just because I like being nice in my immersive RPG games.
I do like to play as anti-heroes and even villains in RPGs but even when I do, I am not really the type to slay civilians or those who can't fight.
In this chapter from Path of Radiance you don't even have to kill the Bishops if you want some of the valuable items like the Physic as you can also steal them.
And in FE3 and its Remake, you can pretty much buldoze your way through the chapter without killing them. Especialy in New Mystery where proper preparation and usage of the most busted things rewards you greatly.
I am not entirely sure if this really is the artist but it is the only source I could find. If it was drawn by someone else, please let me know!
By Ni (Pixiv154638) on zerochan.
Many of the cast of 5Ds but in the Duel Academy of their own world; different from the one founded by Kaiba in GX.
Very nice to see characters like Rally, Mikage, Ushio and Misty even make into this along with the rest of the main cast and a few other minor characters.
Aran : Like most of the units of the Dawn Brigade, he isn't exactly the best but I nonetheless do have fun using him
He is a soldier that grows like an amored knight: 75% on Attack and Skill and 70% on Defense. It's exactly why I like to pass on the Adept Combat Skill on to him when I am able to since the proc is based on the unit's Skill.
Which means I'll (likely) have an Aran that can tank hits and maybe even one round enemies if he gets those Adept procs.
Aran ain't better than Jill, Nolan, Sothe, Micaiah, Laura or any of the strong pre-promotes you get. I am not entirely sure if he is better than Edward but I nonetheless really enjoy sticking with him and training him more than Edward or Leonardo.
Rebecca : She is an archer in a franchise that for the most doesn't favor her class. Even so, I like to train and pair Rebecca and Lowen together.
Growths may not be the best way to define a unit (unless you are Wolf and Sedgar) but every time I train Rebecca, I get a decently fast archer for most of the game.
Really helps that Blazing Sword is a game that often sends hordes of weaklings at you so it does give her more oportunities to shine compared some other FE games.
Cecil : I have no idea what the general opinion is on Cecil but I never hear anyone talk about her; so I am going to assume that she may not be very good - especially when she is in the same army as Kris, Palla, Catria, Caeda and Syrius.
She is fragile but she generally grows into a fast unit that benefits from many of the strong early game swords that you get from drops (Ladyblade, Devil Sword, Armorslayer).
Like sure, the re-classed Pegasus Knights that I also get very early on can do everything she does but better. I will still stubbornly train Cecil and make her a core part of my army.
Shadow Dragon and New Mystery are to me the type of FE games where the real fun of the game is to use and heavily abuse the most broken things to play (mostly) optimal. Cecil is one of the few exceptions I make.
Sonya : Can Mae and Celica do the same things she does while having better availability and a more useful selection of spells? Yes. Am I missing out on the best Mercenary/Dread Fighter on Celica's route? Yes.
...and yet I foolishly almost always pick Sonya. She has decent bases and gets to benefit from using the Mage Ring and a passed-on Speed Ring.
(I also find Deen's map to be a lot easier to do than Sonya's witch-infested map)
Strange how everytime I use and train Sonya, she just happens to grow really well to the point she fullfills a niche of being able to safely enemy phase Dread Fighters thanks to all the crit avoid provided with her Genny Support - and (likely) a Pegasus Cheese investment but by then most of my guys on Celica's side don't need to be that fast.
I do wish that Sonya was recruited with a higher level and that her selection of spells was better; like they could've done something distinguishable like giving her Mire or Teleportation. (Oh well, at least Entrap has its fun little uses in the post-late game)
"I just want to know what our lives are for"
Pandora slicing the screen in half to reveal the Lost Canvas...but this time it now shows the new Temples within it.
"Beating every hostile that stands in our way"
We see Alone brush through the screen; the paint will quickl disipate to show Pharaho and Kagaho at his side; and Aspros and Yioma being fore-shadowed in the background.
"I've never felt like this before"
Spotlight for Kardia; attacking with his Scarlet Needle and a wicked smile of burning passion.
"The truth is going to be revelead today"
The screen turns behind Kardia to reveal Degel; he opens his eyes and we see his Aurora Execution within what appears to be Atlantis.
"We really don't have any foes to slay"
Tenma standing before the terrible Demon of the Kanon Island.
"No more need to live this way"
Regulus makes his appareance as he shows off his lion-eyes and behind him are the rest of the bronze and silver saints uncovering the boat.
"Love will fill the world and it will reign, SUPREME FOREVER!"
Sifio arrives from the heavens with his wings wide open, landing on the Cruiser of Hope to confront a terrible adversary.
"Saint Seiya we're calling out for you!"
And that adversary is Aiacos of Garuda, along with his "Star Destroyer" and his army.
"Seint Sieya help us to come through!"
We see Violet of Behemoth emerge from the wing of Aiacos's shadow, standing and ready to face off against Regulus.
"The nebula of confusion"
Radamanthys of Wyvern roars across the Atlantis with Pandora next to him
"The passage of trepidation"
We see (Unity) the Marine General of Sea-Dragon with a mysterious woman behind him and water forming into Poseidon's face
"The whirlpools of indecision"
Sasha/Athena and Alone/Hades at the scene of Sifio vs Aiacos staring at each other
"WILL LEAD US TO THE REALM OF A-ATHEEEENAAAAAAA!"
Tenma arrives at the scene next to Sasha; with a new version of the Pegasus Cloth and unleashes a powerful explosion of Cosmos.
The classic of Hades being unleashed and swinging his Sword; at which Tenma faces it head on with his fist.
Not sure if this is exactly how it would go but I can see the opening of Season 3 visually being something like this. What do you all think?
Jack and Carly together; Rally and the rest of the satellite gang not forgotten; Brunno with Leo and Luna; Aki with a Kimono walking alongside Yusei and...Sonic Chick?! I'll take it!
We even see Kiryu/Kalin, Team Ragnarok; Sherry, Mizogushi and Team Taio way there in the background. Oh and Team Unicorn I guess...
Yamai00 makes some incredible YGO fan art. Check them out if you are interested.
(especially if you are a Kite/Kaito and Mizar/Mizael fan)
Asmita elevates his Cosmo to the extreme.
He has created a rosary from the fruits of the Mokurenji tree to seal all the 108 Specteres when they die and prevent their resurection - but at the cost of his life.
SS to me is one of those few animes that is better Dubbed than Subbed. What I especially like about the Spanish Latin version is the joy and sadness that Asmita departs with; and Tenma with cries of great sadness seeing the immense sacrifice that Asmita has done.
As the image says, this is just a concept. The pokemon shown here don't have to be the final ones that make the cut; the franchise truly has so much potential for which ones make it into Smash whether they are popular or not.
Like maybe Gardevoir instead of Deoxys or Lucario instead of Garchomp.
(Small Note : For my concept here, Ceruledge and Armarouge would be a combo-duo like current PT is with the 3 starters or more specifically it is with Pyra and Mythra)
What I would absolutely like to see is the human-characters of the pokemon universe to be in Smash alongside the pokemon. They are a crucial part of its world and the Pokemon World has so many goated and memorable human characters that deserve to be in Smash.
This would also include many of the other playable trainer characters (as in their alt gender version) and potentially rival characters (Silver, Hugh, Gladion, Nemona, etc); or even Champion characters like Cynthia shown here, or others like Blue, Iris, Lance, etc.
I decided to put Cynthia and N as the initial reps because of how iconic they are but of course Lucas, Dawn, Hilda, Hilber, Nate and Rosa are still available alts like Leaf is for Red.
This would all of course require a ton of work from the Smash Dev Team but that's exactly why I am also calling it a dream of what I would like to see.
Pelleas signed a Blood Pact with one of the senators of Begnion and because of it, he has to force Daein into a war against the Laguz Alliance and as an ally of Begnion.
At the end of Act 3, he gives his life beleiving it could stop the curse of the Blood Pact.
You have no choice but bear witness to it...except if you begin a new playthrough on a Save File with Clear Data, you can now have the choice to save Pelleas and have him fight alongside your armies.
I always wondered if Fernand was going to receive the same treatment. Afterall, despite his justified grudge for Zofia, he never felt like he truly belonged in Rigel or with Berkut.
(I even head-cannon that it was him who hid and gave a lance for Mathilda to use against the Zombies spawned by the Cantor)
You can't save him...but what if you could?
What if in a second playthrough after clearing the game; if you lets say have completed all of the content so far in 450 turns or less, you get a different scene with Fernand silently trailing behind Berkut; hidding away and witnessing an empowered Berkut and a be-witched Rinea after the sacrifical offering to Duma.
He then flees as quitely and swiftly as he can. Alm and the rest of the Delivernce arrive shorftly after to greet him.
Fernand is broken and confused...but he is alive! He is unsure of what to believe and do. But of course Alm, Clive, Clair, Lukas and Mathilda all talk to him and welcome him with open arms. That despite the tragic loss of his family, he still has one with Clair, Clive and Mathilda.
Whether he joins as a strong Gold Knight with great bases OR as an Est-type unit with decent base stats but insane growths, Fernand is now part of your army!
The roster I have here is combination of both classic and their latest iteration at the current time of its release - this being December 2018 like it was with Ultimate.
Hence why I have BotW Link, Odyssey Mario, Pyra and Mythra and Lucas.
Oh and Mega Man X over the classic Rock, but that's mostly me just being bias since I do like X more and I feel like he is also very iconic.
I wanted the roster to be more than just 12, and no more than 1 character per franchise to have as many different IP reps as possible.
Which is why there is sadly no Luigi or Yoshi.
There would also be tons of actual character alts such as Paper Mario, different incarnations of Link, Alm and Lucina for Marth, Big Boss for Snake, Jeanne for Bayonetta, the various different captains in the Pikmin games for Olimar, Ninten and Ness for Lucas, etc.
How would the game play? Easy answer would be like 64 but...
With Sakurai being a more experienced developed by now and Nintendo being bigger than ever, I think the very first Smash if it came out in the early days of the Switch would be a more polished game.
Maybe some weird combination of 64 with all of its simple and unique game-modes and stages but with the core gameplay of Ultimate.
I've been seeing this grid of opinions everywhere.
They include favorites, hated and all sort of preferences for anything.
I am going to focus primarily on the cards and a small touch of the anime at the end.
All of my favorites chossen here are a combination of both finding them fun to play and also liking their design.
So go ahead and do the same; tell me your favorites for what ever reason you want.

I like it but I do wish the Dark Magician side was different.
The head should face downards, with maybe a hand coming out of its mouth. And the staff would be part of the hat and would be retractable like it is with the Transcendant/Grey Sword.
I could also see them swapping, with Red Eyes getting a sort of dark blade and Dark Magician gets the cannon with a cannon of dark magic that looks like Magic Cylinder.
Or they could just be cannons, since DM and RE are primarily ranged attackers.
Who do you think could also fit in this meme as one of the FF mascots?
