Shroud from Dispatch
Made the mask and other parts with EVA foam primarily with patterns made after buying and modifying the 3D model file.
Didn't get to wire up all the electronics and LEDs in time for the con so I used Inkscape on top of edits done by the photographer (Mumei101) to get the glowing effects he has on his body.
All in all, it's a great comfort cosplay with this low budget supervillain.
Hoping for a Season 2 so things don't die out. 🙏

Is getting the ML Doomsday Dr Doom worth getting or go for SHF?
From what I see, the ML figure is not accurate to the Movie's design at all?
What do you think of this theory?
I think the theory they are putting forward is that Ice Man and other mutants were allowed to be depicted as LGBT as a greater "symptom" if you will of the petty actions of Ike Perlmutter in the 2010's? He mandated strategies that crippled then-Fox owned characters in comic sales, merchandising etc. They're suggesting they did that to create brand damage/animosity and to further increase sales of "Avenger characters".
In case if anyone needs a refresher on this era:

And as the person above says, now Marvel owns the rights again and wants those funko pops etc sold.
What are your thoughts on this? Surely there are software engineers or someone that can refute this?
What are your thoughts on this statement?
Yes it seems gatekeepery but I agree that the quote should be addendumed to say "Gen Z does not care about some superhero movies and characters".
That statement also ignores some of the biggest creators and personalities out there that likely drive audiences to see these movies like Matt Ramos, Straw Hat Goofy, The Escape Podcast and many others.
And yeah, I'm starting to see some generational divides happening in the comments sections and TikToks. Seemed like some guy read some data and made the easiest statement to the media that would garner the most clicks.
Like Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z all have individual icons and franchises that they have nostalgia for and some overlap happens but more often than not it doesn't. I see this all the time as a Power Rangers fan and you'd be living under a rock if you didn't see what happened with Masters of the Universe at the box office.
Overall, I'm glad this discussion is happening as it's bringing light to something that I've been noticing for a long time that more people should notice.
Could Kenny Ortega have some involvement in Part 2?
Either the real Kenny comes on board as a consultant, or someone plays Kenny in Part 2. And if they do, how much time would they give? Like John Landis was there for like a minute or two tops, with no speaking role.
Also, if there ever was a scenario where Antoine Fuqua ends up dropping out of Part 2 as a director, he's the only one imo that could step up to the plate.
Stupid question: Is the Sandtrooper the only kind of Stormtrooper that has the orange pauldron? I'm new to army/squad building and looking to try it with my Stormtroopers
Credit to Screencrush for suggesting this. This might've gone down better compared to who they did get.
As much as I loved Jared Leto's performance, Jim Carrey as Skeletor for the new He-Man movie would have went down way better with the masses who view Jared negatively and associate him with Box Office Poison and other things.
Jim would have hammed it up just like Jared would have.
What they should do next after the MOTU movie
A solo low budget She-Ra movie straight to Amazon Prime that follows the events straight after the movie as well as go into Adora's origin.
Do you think 80s nostalgia has peaked?
To be clear, I'm not including here any IP that blew up in the 80s but has seen popular revivals since then such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, IT or even My Little Pony. Both IPs had new shows that weren't just trying to appeal to those in the 80s. And I'm not including The Mandalorian and Grogu here simply because that film was more banking on a streaming show than the Star Wars brand as a whole.
But between last two Smurfs film, Transformers One, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Terminator: Dark Fate, G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes Origin, The Flash which HEAVILY used Michael Keaton's Batman in the promotion, the Masters of the Universe film that just came out and that no one under the age of 40 cares about, that boring Robocop remake, even the most recent Ghostbusters film came and went (bet most of you even forgot a Ghostbusters movie came out in 2024) - all of these did mediocre numbers at best or outright bombed at worst. If there are people here who want a new Thundercats movie or show, well good luck because I don't think it's happening.
Note: we're just looking at videogames. I don't count any video games that have come out and been successful simply because the format and appeal of a game is not the same as a movie.
If there's a silver lining to this though, all of these movies are ones grifter channels cover. Yet these channels have also been vastly declining in subscriber count and viewership, meaning the interesting is waning.
But do you think nostalgia for the 80s media is out? Not saying this is a good or bad thing by the way, I'm just observing there's a generational shift that's been happening over the last few decades and certain people feel uncomfortable by it.
Which Movie Battle Cat is a better option for my standard 5-ish inch Movie figures?
I know the normal response is to go with the corresponding core-line figure with my core figures and as much as I appreciate the roar sound effect but in terms of articulation and look, the Chronicles figure is just plain superior.
Is the contrast really that huge? Or could I "cross the streams"?
My friend bought a He-Man and Skeletor figure to the Sydney premiere of the new movie and did some toy photography.
He-Man is the Chronicles figure, Skeletor is not.
