Hello everyone,
Like many others, I couldn’t clear UPSC Prelims this year. The paper was unusually challenging and reinforced something that many aspirants have been discussing for the last few years—the increasing unpredictability of competitive examinations.
After taking some time to reflect, I’ve decided that while I’ll continue my UPSC journey, I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. I want to simultaneously prepare for other good opportunities such as:

BPSC
UPPCS
SSC CGL
RBI Grade B
NABARD
Banking exams (IBPS, SBI, etc.)
Other State PCS examinations
Any other relevant Group B/Gazetted-level exams that fit well with UPSC preparation

I’m looking for serious aspirants who are interested in forming a small study and research group where we can:
Collect and organize information about different examinations.
Analyze eligibility, syllabus, pattern, and previous year trends.
Identify common subjects overlapping with UPSC.
Find reliable study materials and sources.
Create a realistic preparation roadmap.
Share notes, resources, and test series recommendations.
Track notifications and application timelines.
Maintain accountability and consistency.

One thing I’ve realized is that while exam patterns may become more unpredictable, our preparation doesn’t have to be. A strong foundation, regular revision, PYQ analysis, mock tests, and continuous practice can still put us in a competitive position across multiple examinations.
I also want to discuss questions like:

Which exams offer the best overlap with UPSC?
How should one balance UPSC preparation with State PCS, SSC CGL, RBI Grade B, and banking exams?
What are the most reliable sources and coaching/test series for these exams?
Which exams should be prioritized based on effort-to-opportunity ratio?
Are there any other worthwhile examinations that UPSC aspirants often overlook?
