Any idea why these points are bridged?

I have some raspberry pi’s (about 10) I pulled from some old Covid temperature sensing check in kiosks. They’re 4B 8gb units. Each of them has these 2 wires bridging what seems to be the USBC port and the middle USBA stack. Is this accurate? If so, why? Just to run power to the USB ports?

I’m looking at my copy of [[Stardew Valley]] that arrived the other day, and wondering how I would use it. Sure, it taps for (1). It can also create food tokens which is useful.
I’m mainly talking about the third ability, (3) tap, draw a card, and another player may gain control of target permanent you control.
I could see this being super useful with certain “bad gifts” commanders like [[Zedruu the Greathearted]] if it didn’t say ”may”, but they can simply say “nah I don’t want it”. In this case, why would I want to give them a permanent that they do want?
Maybe I’m overthinking this lol
My Stardew drop just arrived!
For those curious, I ordered the Prismatic Shard foil bundle, and received these extra cards from the Welcome to Stardew Valley, Life in Pelican Town, and A Flicker in the Deep sets respectively (idk if that matters but thought I’d mention it).
Curious if there are any other secret extra cards out there!
I mainly want to grade these because I like collecting graded cards, but I’d ideally like them to get a decent grade lol.
Any thoughts? I know the centering is off on a couple of them (Dedenne and Gladion mainly) but idk how much that affects a grade. Like I think they’d still 9 but maybe I’m wrong and they’d be an 8 or 7 off the centering alone?

Hi all,
I replaced the 4 deep cycle batteries in my Nilfisk Advance HR-2800 floor scrubber in November 2025, and it’s been great except recently I’m finding that the batteries are getting hot really easily.
I had it plugged in last week and the water was literally boiling inside the batteries after a little while (I didn’t leave it plugged in overnight or anything), and I let it cool down for a few hours, used it, and they got hot driving it too (though they didn’t boil that time).
There’s one connection that has a tiny bit of corrosion on the edge of the cable connector, not enough that I think it would be the cause?
All batteries are full (I think? Maybe they need to be fuller?), clean except for that one, and connections are solid.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Edit: just plugged it in again to see if I could recreate the issue and check for hot spots and it’s giving off a rotten egg smell.

In an attempt to collect the entire TLA/TLE set, I’m working on a deck for each major ATLA character. Here’s the current state of my Toph deck, any suggestions? I’m focusing on earthbending with fetch lands and +1/+1 counters for ramp, with some other things thrown in. I acknowledge I’m not the greatest deck builder so I’m open to anything lol.

Before I call Epson support which I'm assuming will be a nightmare, I figured I'd ask here.
I have the ET-2850.
I got a paper jam a week or so ago. I cleared it, verified that there are no (visible at least) remnants of paper in the printer.
Fast forward to now, I've tried every test/maintenance option the printer gives me, downloaded purge files to try, etc etc and it isn't printing a single drop of ink. The tanks are completely full, the print head moves correctly during the print, but every page comes out either completely blank or with a couple faint ink lines. I'm not sure what to do from here.

Hi all,
I’m in the process of getting my Plex server set up and I’m ripping all my media.
My copy of Hacksaw Ridge is giving me issues, first I got a black screen with a message that basically said “ripping media bad, so says your corporate overlords”, I re-did my process and now it plays but after the first 5 minutes it skips around scenes. Am I doing something wrong?
FYI the disc is basically brand new, I bought it a few months ago, watched it once, and it’s been in the case untouched ever since.
My process is: backup (the folder button) on MakeMKV, AV1 encode in Handbrake to a .MKV file including the English audio and subtitles, save that to my plex server. I have no idea if this is the best way to be doing this, it’s just what’s been working for me so far.
Any help/tips would be appreciated.

My makerspace has an F1 and we’ve been having an issue recently where members are able to disable the feature that keeps the laser from firing unless the shield is fully closed and locked down. Why would someone manually disable this? Excellent question. We repeat the instruction not to do so often and clearly, but yk sometimes people just don’t listen or care.
My question is, is there a way to make it so it’s impossible to disable this feature? We want the cover to be locked down at all times when in use.

Hi all,
I have a few smart thermostats in my building that aren’t the same brand, and some more may be added in the future, and I’m researching a relatively simple (and cheap) software, basically all I need it to do is control multiple different brands of thermostat from one app. Ideally I’d like to be able to set blanket temperature settings/limits for the whole building or given areas.
I literally just have thermostats, no other sensors or features that would make something like Niagara (which I have experience with) worth it. Any ideas?
I’d like it to be compatible with Honeywell, Ecobee, and maybe Nest but not necessary.
