As the title says, if I want to go inito link-mode I can't do so on 2.6 and have to go into OpenFPGA, run a GBA code and hold Start+Select.

There are 2 workarounds for continuing transfering mons to the Switch from original games after Bank cloaure (1 requires a modded switch)

For me, the main point of replaying Pokémon games is to shiny hunt and transfer pokémon from older titles (aka cart copy of Fire Red) to future titles, but after Bank closes, that's not going to be officially possible, but here are two solutions (not official, obviously) that I can think of that everybody should be aware of.

I am not excusing GF's and Nintendo corporate BS though, but be aware these are solutions at least.

SOLUCIÓN NÚMERO UNO (save file upload to the switch, should work on any switch port of future games)

Hacked Switch with a copy of the same game (for example, Fire Red) and JKSV or Checkpoint apps

Game (Fire Red cart for example)

Cart reader device (GB Operator or FlashGBX)

If they keep on porting the games to the Switch as they have with FRLG, they will do so without code modification (in order ot keep the ratings) and thus the save system wil be the same.

This means that yo uliterally can just use a hacked switch with a savefile editor such as JKSV.

Put your cart unto the cart reader, export the save unto your PC, put that save unto the hacked switch's SD card in the proper folder structure so that JKSV reads it and then put it in the Sysnand, book into stock, and can export the games to Home.

Of course, I don't condone editing the data or creating let aloe distributing hacked data or pokémon.

Video example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LI-JCfIKLXw

Should work if they keep on porting games to the Switch in the future.

BONUS: YOU CAN USE THIS TO UNLOCK THE EVENTS ON ORIGINAL HARDWARE!! The switch ports put the tickets on your bag when you defeat the Champion (int he case of FRLG, we don't know how it will work on the RSE ports but will probably be similar).

So simply play on cart until before the champion fight, save and move to the Switch, beat the champion and talk to Oak there, then back to the cart.

Voilá! EVENTS UNLOCKED ON THE ORIGINAL CARTRIDGES!

SOLUCIÓN NÚMERO DOS (trading to gen 3 switch ports only)

(Credit to Tornadus11 and Professor Rex for video and research+development)

Non-hacked Switch with Gen3-only game

Linux PC or Rufus ToGo Installation with access to a compatible Wi-fi card (if you have Wi-fi on your PC it should work unless there's some driver BS going on)

Gen3-only Game (Fire Red cart for example)

Cart reader device (GB Operator or FlashGBX)

PKHex

VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ld2YphF-HVI

Extract the save from your cart, and now use PKHex to extract the .pk3 file of the mon, now… gotta follow the steps on Linux and whatnot for a direct connection through Wi-Fi to trade each month 1 by 1 to the switch.

Personally I haven't done this myself because it's sadly limited to 1 mon a t a time and I'm working on moving a living dex, but it is an incredible solution and requirex Linux (in Rex's video it uses a USB-based installation).

"SOLUCIÓN" NÚMERO TRES IF EVERYTHING ELSE FAILS OH GOD

As you can see, these solutions depend on Nintendo bringing these games digitally to the Switch, but what happens if they never port Platinum to it?

As a last dich solution... I guess I could see somebody rebuilding their shiny Platinum Giratina with PKhex in BDSP as if caught in that game because it's the closest match possible.

................

Just saying, we gotta find solutions to keep the ability to transfer Pokémon from older games to newer games as seamlessly as possible, I don't condone the modification of the data or Pokémon themselves. Otherwise, we won't be able to start new playthroughs or shiny hunts on original cartridges and move them over to new platforms going forward and that's a real shame.

(And to those hoping Nintnedo may release an official device to import the pokémon, man, that's a lot of hopium.)

Playing Halo the way Atari intended (thanks to Steam Input)

Jokes aside, Steam input acting as a compatibility layer and letting you translate pretty much everything that your PC recognizes into a controller the game vibes with is great.

For example, you can even use the NSO Gamecube controller on PC and it has just enoguh buttons (L3, R3, and Select can be mapped to C, Home and Select) to play any modern game and it has gyro.

That's it, that's the post just some silly funa dn I just beat TaR on legendary using the Gamecube controller.

(I'd only recommend the N64 one to masochists though.)

I do highly recommend applying custom stickers/paint to add detail to Daizyujin/Dragon Caesar, being some of the first SMP hasn't helped them

I added stickers to the thighs, pterodonon's Grey tail, the face, mouth of the T. rex and replaced the red stripe around the T. rex so that there is no copyright info on it.

For Dragon Caesar, the paint/sticker detail I see as missing are the gold circle son the neck, red circles on the crotch, and black thigh "U" stickers.

Made them all with a silhouette cutting machine. But it should also be possible to paint specially the horn lines on the Megazord's face but gotta make sure the paint (acrylic of course) is diluted enough on water and because apply an additive to break surface tension, dunno.

Ngl, I wish they dredo this one and maybe Kakuranger, they are a bit outdated compared to the res tod the SMP line specially the partsforming.

Size of the robots, the Timeforce minifgures, and other random data you may not know. I know scale doesn't matter, but...

But from what I've measured most SMP and Minipla seem to be around 1:250 to 1:400, I'd say the median scale must fall around 1:325.

GoGoV mecha seems to be at 1:296 approx. due to Grand Liner going from 80m to 27cm, for example.

Megaranger is 1:366 so... let's say 1:375 approx.

Zyuranger 1:275.

Kakuranger and Dairanger 1:392 or so so... 1:400 too?

Gingaman 1:316.

Gao ranger is approx 1:380 or 1:425 for Gao Icarus... so maybe we can squint and say 1:400 in general.

Don't try to make sense of the Gozyuger MP scale.

Carranger is about 1:195 so can say 1:200. The robo si quite small in-Canon compared to the other series'.

One would need to make an excel spreadsheet with every size but I'd say the median scale is about 1:325 so far...

...But Timeranger, now that's an odd one out. The included figures for the rangers actually match up almost perfectly with the ones form the ZAP Lightning collection megazords, that is, 1:144 scale.

...But the robots themselves are at 1:350 scale.

This means the TF minifigures are about 2 times bigger than they should be.
That's it that's the post thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

And yes, this means the V-Rex is kind of maybe close to scale with the Zyuranger SMP Dragon Caesar (the V-Rex should be 18% bigger actually).

**Eric was right, his Q-Rex would indeed eat the Dragonzord for lunch.**

(Also expect the Ohranger scale to be wild because otherwise those big boys ain't gonna work.)

Facecam 4k just won't work on the Switch 2, even after software update to 2.32

Any idea? I've tried a multitude of cables athat do work with the other webcams I have, I am lost as to what's happening.

I have followed EVERY step in the support page, tried idfferent ports, tried different cables, used the USB C on top, bottom and dock of the switch 2. Nothing.

I EVEN BOUGHT A FUCKING ELGATO CAM LINK 4K AND IT DOESN't DETECT IT, WHAT THE FUCK. IF IT HAS ELGATO ON IT THE SWITCH 2 DOESN'T RECOGNIZE IT OR SEE IT NO MATTER WHAT I TRY

Not intended, but you can fit the V-Rex's transparent stand adapter unto the Time Flyer.

The adapter's rectangular prongs that have the smaller gap hold unto the Flyer a bit too harshly but it seems to work just fine, and one of the three back jets in the Flyer go into the adapter's central hole.

Of course, while this works for me, tolerances vary so try this at your own discretion, transparent plastic pieces are particularly delicate.

Weird max brightness/nits behaviour on 32" Odyssey Neo G7

This monitor, when calibrating (either through HDR Windows Calibration or consoles as the Switch 2), always caps at 1000 nits.

But this morning, for no reason, on firmware 1009, it was, for a bit, capping at 1400/1612 (PC/Switch 2).

It went away after some minutes and since then I've tried installing firmware 1014 and went through ALL settings to try to get that back, but it was an one-time occurence.

What happened here, anybody else had this?

Also, I don't know if this has a HGIG mode (reviews show the max brightness drop horizontally so I assume it is working like HGIG), could it have been a bug or something on that regard?

EDIT: I'm getting 1610 nits reliable on the Switch 2 now, maybe it was the software update, but on Windows it is capped to 1000.

Accidentally thought by Verbatim 4388 was NB40 instead of BU40N... flashed the wrong firmware.

So now it reads as NB40 instead of BU40N no matter what BU40N firmware I try to flash, there's no solution is there?

Man, I can't do anything right.

Shipping to Spain?

Hello, I am looking forward to maybe buying the XLR Pro but I love in the Canary Islands, which are part of Spain and the EU but not under the same tax system.

So I'm probably going to have to sue a forwarding service to deliver it to me, and then I'd pay the CANARY Islands customs fees.

Wanted to ask, are there customs fees when buying and shipping to mainland Spain? I am under the impression it ships from the Netherlands, right?

So then I'd have to pay customs fees twice, when it arrives to Spain and then Canarias, so wanted to know beforehand.

Thank you.

Thinking of getting one in the future, can't find this info, do PDFs show 2 pages if you set them to Landscape mode?

As the title says, can you make it so, when in Landscape mode, 2 pages of the PDFs show?

Thanks.
