What’s your best Temu purchase that you still use months later?
I’m curious about the stuff that actually holds up after the initial “this was cheap” excitement wears off. What did you buy, roughly what did it cost, and how long have you had it?

I’m 45 and facing a bit of a reset. Looking for work, living with my parents, single, no kids. This isn’t where I thought I’d be at this age, and some days that gets to me more than I’d like to admit.
I’ve worked for years and know I have something to offer, but starting again feels different now. I want to build a life I’m happy with, and I sometimes struggle with the feeling that I should have figured it out already.
Hello everyone. I'm sorry for the long post but I genuinely want to try to explain myself and get some advice from my peers.
I’m 45 and I feel like I’m in a strange kind of limbo.
I originally trained and worked as a teacher, but over time I moved into digital marketing. For more than a decade I’ve worked across social media, community management, email marketing, partnerships and related roles. For a long time, being adaptable and knowing a bit of everything was actually an advantage.
Now the market feels different.
Jobs seem much more specialised, expectations are higher, and sometimes I look at my experience and wonder whether what once made me versatile now makes me look too generalist. So lately I’ve been thinking about something bigger than just finding another job.
Maybe this is the point where I need to reinvent myself again.
That could mean specialising in a completely new area, retraining, moving to another country for work, taking a role I would never have considered before, or even changing direction entirely.
The strange part is that I genuinely have the will to do it.I’m curious. I still want to learn. I still want to work, build things, meet people and experience something new.
But sometimes the strength to actually make the jump doesn’t seem to match the will.
It feels like standing between two versions of yourself.
The old one doesn’t quite fit anymore, but the new one hasn’t been built yet.
For the men here who went through something similar in their 40s:
Did you ever completely reinvent your career or your life around 40–50? Maybe you moved abroad, changed industries, went back to school, started a business, took a massive pay cut to start again, or just decided one day that the life you had wasn’t the one you wanted anymore.
What pushed you to finally do it?
I turned 45 a few days ago, and the birthday made me think more than I expected. I'm single, I don't have kids, and I'm currently going through a period where my career isn't where I want it to be either. I know life isn't a checklist and that marriage, kids, a house, etc. aren't automatically what makes someone happy. But when you reach your mid-40s and don't have those things, I think it becomes harder not to wonder: what am I actually building towards?
I go to the gym, I have hobbies, I travel when I can, I try to keep learning and improving myself. I can fill my days. But filling your days and having a sense of direction aren't necessarily the same thing.
So I'm particularly interested in hearing from guys in their 40s, 50s or older who are single and don't have children. What gives your life purpose? What gets you excited about the future? Did you ever go through a period where you felt like everyone else was moving forward while you were standing still? And if so, what changed?
Hey guys,
I’ve started noticing some mild discomfort/tightness in my lower back when riding. Nothing major, but enough that I’m trying to deal with it before it becomes a bigger problem.
For those of you who also have lower back issues, what has actually helped while riding? Different seat, backrest, suspension setup, riding position, stretches, lumbar support, etc.?
I ride a 2003 Fat Boy, so I’d be especially interested in hearing from anyone riding a Softail or something with a similar position.
Not looking for medical advice, just curious about what changes made the biggest difference for you on the bike. Thank you all
I think authenticity used to mean being honest, natural, and relatively unfiltered. Online, however, authenticity has become a style.
People now perform being messy, vulnerable, awkward, honest, chaotic, humble, self-aware, damaged, healed, unbothered, or “real.” Even anti-perfection has become aesthetic. Even saying “I do not care how this looks” often looks carefully constructed.
This does not mean everyone is fake. I think people can be sincere and still perform parts of themselves. But social media rewards the version of authenticity that is most engaging, relatable, and easy to consume.
That creates a strange situation where people are not just pretending to be perfect anymore. They are also curating their imperfections.
My view is that online authenticity is often not the opposite of performance. It is one of the most successful forms of performance.
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to replace the thermal paste on my MSI GP66 Leopard, but I’m stuck on disconnecting the battery connector from the motherboard. I already tried gently wiggling it, but it feels really tight and I’m afraid of breaking either the connector or the socket on the board.
Does this connector slide out horizontally or pull upward? I'm having a real hard time disconnecting this and im afraid im gonna do something wrong.
First time opening this laptop this deep, so I’d rather ask before forcing it.
Thank you

Hi guys. I am looking for an app where I can just place the movie and shows I want to see in the future. Is there anything like it in the app world? Thank you.

Boas,
