I've gotta hold out on buying anything else before Oblivion comes out 😮‍💨

Here's my updated macro for shiny hunting starters in Fire Red and Leaf Green for 8BitDo's Ultimate Software V2 & Pro 3/Ultimate 2 controllers. It's been optimised to bring a sequence from Game Freak logo skip to the Pokemon Info screen down to about 25 seconds, with an additional 9 second interval added for shiny checking before the macro hits the reset button. Feel free to adjust that value how you wish, but it's the one with 9000ms as the value.

This macro assumes you are in Oak's lab and have saved your game standing in front of your preferred pokeball. This macro was tested on a shiny starter hunt for Charmander (*see details at bottom).

This macro skips naming the Pokemon.

This macro also comes as both an automatic sequence that will repeat itself, and a manual sequence that will take you up to the pokemon's summary page.

The manual macro can be activated at anytime, the automatic macro needs to be activated during the Game Freak logo animation.

Please Note: The placement of the reset differs for the automatic and manual versions of this macro. This is to avoid accidental resets on the automatic macro when attempting to turn it off.

*Your experience with the macro might differ if you are shiny hunting one of the other starters, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. These will likely be due to variances in sound cues or animations during the sequence. I have marked the three points where a pokemon's call is heard (green/blue) and where your rival walks to the pokeball. If you have issues with the macro timings, look at these first.
