Registering MOBO...

I want to register my motherboard for warranty, etc.

It is asking for like 3cor 4 letters at the end of the board serial number.

I have already installed my board, so....how/where do I find the letters?

LG Black Stabilizer & setup

I got a new monitor yesterday!

LG 34GS95QE-B

I was playing with the settings a little before work.

I noticed the Black Stabilizer setting.

I reduced it down to like 25, and the black color got super dark (which I honestly liked).

Here at work I have been bored, so looking up how to setup the monitor more/better when I get home.

So two things I was wondering about.

  1. why are people leaving the Black Stabilizer at 50

  2. why are people cranking (or leaving) Brightness at 90?

Like I said, when I tweaked the Blsck Stabilizer down, the black got super dark...which I liked.

ARGB hub help

Ok, am going to try and take another stab at getting my MSI ez120 fans (and the associated MSI RGB hub) connected a different way so that hopefully Signal will work.

I'm not home atm, so I can't 100% verify what is connected where.

However, I do recall that I connected the Micro USB into one of the USB connectors on my motherboard - x870e Carbon and I also think I connected the JAF.

I \*am\* able to sync the fans with the motherboard using Mystic Light. I am also able to program each fan and the lights using ML (it shows as the general Hub, and then each block of 3 fans connected to the hub).

So that I can try and use Signal, how would you recommend that I connect that MSI Hub?

Thanks for the help!

A preview...

A little preview of what's to come (once I can get this stupid argb stuff sorted)

143.something mhz? Odd...

I just built my first PC.

My gpu is a MSI VENTUS 5070TI 3X OC PZ BLACK

My monitor is a Dell S3422DWG

Win 11 Pro

Using the display port.

When going into Asvanced Settings to determine my refresh rate, it gives me something like 143.xx mhz instead of just plain 144.

Can't say I have ever seen this before.

Imagine my surprise....

I finished up my first PC build...99% MSI

X870E Carbon

Ventus 5070ti 3x OC PZ Black

MSI Strike Pro Wireless keyboard

MSI Versa Pro Wireless mouse

Lian Li Hydroshift ii LCD-S

--w x3 MSI ez120 fans

x6 MSI ez120R fans

So when I went into the MSI Center/Mystic Lights, a link/ad came up for SignalRGB and it said that I could control everything MSI with Signal.

I was willing to give it a try, because Mystic Light is...ok...so far. Wanted to see what a different program was capable of.

Well, Imagine my surprise when during the "Discovery" phase (pulsing light on compatible items) that ZERO of the fans were recognized.

How can Signal advertise that you can control all your MSI stuff...but the argb fans aren't on the compatibility list?!

Disappointed.

Shipping question...

Anybody have experience with EshopWeshop and shipping to the US from Europe?

There is something I want from the MSI shop in Poland, and there is no direct shipping to the US

Upgrading, but not the newest

Happy early birthday to me....lol.

Got a Dell S3422DWG like...4 years ago..when I got my first "real" gaming pc (it was an Alienware, I know *now* not to rely on nostalgia).

I just completed building my very first PC (R7 9800x3d, MSI Ventus 5070ti 3x OC PZ Black, 64g of 6k cl38 ram).

I wanted to keep with the 34" monitor size (or there about).

Saw the LG 34GS95QE 34-inch Ultragear OLED Curved Gaming Monitor WQHD 1440p 800R 240Hz was on major sale for $699.

I was thinking about the Alienware, but I loathe AW Command Center--I believe its responsible for causing my PC to go unresponsive because it keeps trying to update, but Dell doesn't support my AW pc version anymore--and it only locks up around the time AWCC tried updating).

Anyways...my new LG will be coming next week :)

I know it isnt the NEWEST generation, but I think it will compete well with anything in this size range and do so at a lower cost.

Advice on which units to get for battery backup/surge protection?

1200w power supply for my pc, with estimated 700w component usage. Any specific ones you like using? Any ones to avoid?

Front connectors go....?

Mobo: x870e Carbon

Case: Pano 100R PZ

have this double connector coming from the front panel. The LED and one other were already attached to a hub up top.

These two connectors go where, exactly?

I believe the big one goes to the JFP1

Not sure where the 2nd goes.

Connecting from Front to...?

I have this double connector coming from the front panel.

I want to double check where it goes.

  1. in the JFP1 (matches the pins)

  2. 2nd one will go where?

u/TheMeanDM — 9 days ago

Case cables to where?

I am building in my MAG Pano 100R PZ. My motherboard is the x870e Carbon.

ThebPano has a hub that the stock fans were connected to, and I *think* the case RGB.

I replaced the stock fans with ez120's, and left the remaining connections intact.

Where on my motherboard would that connect to?

To clarify: the ez120 fans are connecting to their own hub, because they have funky 7 pin connections

Hydro ii LCD setup

I have gotten the Hydroshift ii-S 360 LCD for my build. I want to make sure I am connecting it the best way.

I was reading that you should connect the fans & pump cables (both 4 pin) to the SATA adapter to ensure they have adequate power. The USB cablento a USB connector on the mobo.

Ok, so I have a SATA adapter that came with the aio. It has x3 cables intoc1 sata. The connectors are each only 2 pins.

The cables from the aio are 4 pins.

So...is that correct to do? Just connect the 4 pins into the 2 pins, leaving one connector unused?

Am I (or at least my Nollie) useless?

Did I mess up and get something extra I dont need?

I have x3 3-packs of MSI ez120 fans (2 reverse, 1 regular).

They apparently each come with a "fan hub" that has 4 inputs and can handle 18 total fans per hub (I have 10)

(Fan hub picture 1)

These inputs are a 7 pin input.

(7 pins picture 2)

I picked up a Nollie 8 ARGB controller because I was reading up on how well it performs, making every argb available to program, and allows multiple inputs (8). I originally thought I would need to use 4 of them minimum (3 sets of fans, 1 exhaust fan). It looks like Nollie uses standard 3 pin ARGB connections.

(Nollie unit picture 3)

I 100% forgot that there is a built in control board with my Pano 100R case.

The built in board appears to have

x4 ARGB LED connectionsn (3 pin)

x4 Fan connections

USB 2.0 connector/port

(Case fan controller picture 4)

So...my puzzlement(s)...

I don't think I can connect any of the fans direct to Nollie...being different connections.

Am I able to connect the MSI hub into the Nollie? I have a feeling that is no.

Is the Nollie useless due to the MSI hub and the specific types of connectors it uses either the fans?

Ventus PZ Black...oh goodness

Building out my new pc. I did not realize MSI made a gpu similar to the Sapphire Nitro+ that has the hidden power cable connector.

Who here has a Ventus 5070ti 3x PZ OC, and how do you like it?

I am now very torn between the MSI and Sapphire.

The Sapphire is $190 cheaper (I could get one as an open box for $898)

Similar performance.

Same hidden cable.

Not thrilled about the Sapphire color (love the black MSI)

RGB is..not a factor

  2. Radeon 6900xt gpu (300mm long, 2.5 slots)

  3. 240 AIO

Wired to wireless: cut the cord?

I have a little older (2021/22) Alienware PC that I am planning on cannibalizing to make a new pc for my living room (saving cpu, gpu, ram)

I really do like the keyboard that came with it. It is a 2 USB keyboard (I assume 1 for the key input, one for the argb).

How can I convert this to a wireless keyboard?

Or should I just suck it up and get a (cheap) new wireless keyboard?
