How to help partially chewed pencil thick Japanese maple?

Some sort of animals or squirrels gnawed on my acer palmatum, the core of the tree is no longer intact but there is a section of cambium left, is it going to survive? And how to care for it?

Which is better HIFIMAN XS or HD 560s?

I listen to J-rock/pop so I'm wondering if the upgrade from the 560s to XS is worth it. Let me know in the comments your opinions. I like a wide soundstage with good bass with rich high ends and track separation(especially on complex music). I listen at home obviously so sound leak isn't a problem. I find the 560s a bit fatiguing when listening in long sessions so this might me a good upgrade. USA/budget is under $300.

Cherry blossom rot?
